My son graduated today, I knew I'd get choked up, but not for the reasons I did. It was eerie listening to the names of the kids being called....these same names I've heard since they were in kindergarten. Some were close friends, some were teammates, some were in scouts with him, some were just acquaintances, some I coached, some I chaperoned. Now they are all going their separate ways. I feel a huge dose of empty nest syndrome heading my way when he goes off to Europe this summer and then college.
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul. - John Muir

My daughter graduated high school last night!
She has always struggled academically at school and there were many tears along the way. But, she graduated with a combined 3.7 GPA and is going on to study as a Veterinarian Technician. Nothing worth doing comes easy and she did it.
I'll be honest...tears were shed last night. :-)

It is an eerie feeling... my son played all the youth sports and when he graduated the other night listening to the names of his class mates... I couldn't tell you how many of them I coached in youth sports ( between football, baseball, basketball and soccer I have coached 28 youth teams ) ... its a mixture of sadness that they are leaving but so much pride in how most of these boys have turned out.

Really cool of ya. You know, it would be a boring and quite frankly scary world if we all agreed on everything. Independent thought and the ability to express it is what America is about. That's also what makes you...you and me....me.

Congratulations, to her for having the drive and determination to finish her public education so she can pursue her dream ..... and congratulation to you and your wife, as she had to have had help from both of you along the way.
