Also curious, outside of the Block and the Shot, what was your favorite play from the Finals?
Curry melting down in Game 6 was the point where I sort of realized we could actually win it. Lebron stuffing Curry and talking trash just before that was pretty good too. But I think my favorite, and probably most under-rated play of that game was the JR Smith to Lebron Alley Oop in the third quarter.
It's the kind of play you'd see in a regular season when you're clowning on a team up by 15, and here we were doing it to the supposed best team of all-time in Game 6 of the Finals. I just about jumped through the ceiling when he crushed that dunk.

Thats gave me goosebumps. Something about Lebrons demeanor changed somewhere in this series. No more dancing or clowning, you could just see his focus go to another level

I think it changed because he genuinely hates Steph Curry.
It changed when he stepped over Draymond and Draymond had a few words for him (and a lowblow). Klay and the Warriors started saying things after the game like, "I guess his feelings got hurt" and they had officially poked the bear at that point.
I think you have like 4 lebrons, you have regular, laid back having fun lebron during regular season, you have playoff lebron, which is more focused, applying the right amount of effort to win and no more, Finals lebron which is 100% focused, demanding, do whatever it takes to win, and lastly game 7 finals lebron, you don't want to see this lebron if you're the other team, it means you're standing between him and another championship...the great thing is now, Kyrie has a taste and he's shown to be unguardable when he wants to be. I am more excited for this upcoming cavs season than i am the browns. This is something many of us haven't experienced in cleveland, a title defense and a chance of a repeat.

We talk about the block (rightfully so) but kind of forget he had a triple double in that game. I've always felt once of his greatest strengths is keeping his emotions and energy level in check. When he needs to, he's still a guy willing to dive for a loose basketball. Not too many superstars are like that, let alone a consensus best player in the NBA who's a legend.
IMO, there were two straight possessions that were HUGE in game 7 with about 5-6 mins left(?)
1. LeBron got Ezeli up in the air and got 3 FTs 2. LeBron hit a 3 on an Ezeli switch
We were down like 5 before, then went up 1 ... huge swing
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
One of my faves, and one that had me involuntarily leap outta my seat, was the one where he seemed to reach 12 feet behind him to get the ball thrown up to him, in the air at basket height, and jam it down in from what looked like 6 feet away - while moving sideways away from the backboard.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
Well, I'd say we had one in Greg Oden. He just got injured. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say Lebron James Jr.
LeBron's son might be one but he's only 12 or 13... Shaq's son is 16 and 6'9". According to Shaq, he thought his son was going to max out at 6'8" so he had him working very hard on his perimeter game, his handles, his jump shot, etc.. now doctors are telling him he might get to 6'11" or 7'... and he already has an outside game like a small forward. That dude might be scary.

I just hope left teaching him how to shoot FTs to someone else

It's why I keep saying we need to enjoy this while it lasts. You only get one chance in franchise history to have a Lebron type of player as a small market team. The closest I can think of is San Antonio with Robinson and Duncan, but even still, Duncan's legacy is greater than the Admirals.
We will have some more future HOF caliber players (Kyrie and maybe Love), but 100 years from now when people are asked to name the greatest player in Cavs franchise history, it will be Lebron.
Somebody should Browns players the Cavs fans celebrations to give them a taste of what it would feel like. I'm hoping by the Cavs being the team ending the curse it relieves any pressure off the other 2 teams.
I can't wait for opening night. I want to see the banner raised.

It was still awesome that he was able to come back for last year and be a part of history. He always seemed like a decent dude, and was one of the only players who seemed mad that at the way Lebron left back in 2010. Although Lebron, the Cavs, and Cleveland all moved on a while back, I still respect Mo for not caring about backlash from letting his true feelings out.
Also thought he took a bad rap for 2009 and 2010. A lot of that was on Lebron and how he ran the offense. Thought it was dumb how some fans would rag on Williams and other players when Lebron would hang on to the ball for 20 seconds and throw it to someone else for a prayer-heave. Lebron learned a lot in Miami those four years.
It won't affect our ability to sign anybody if he retires, so I'm okay either way

That's sort of the problem though. It leaves a hole at backup point guard, and we really don't have the means to sign a replacement, outside of a vet minimum.

Maybe he sees the writing on the wall that Felder is pretty good

Theres quite a few decent options out there, number one, we can trade mo for a player, we have the stretch provision, we have both felder and mcrae, you have guys like chalmers, cole, marshall, all FA and available cheap.

For what? Who's going to want to take on Mo's salary for essentially nothing, and give up a decent backup point guard in the process?

Like I said, our options are extremely limited. Chalmers is probably the best guy of that lot and he's coming off a torn Achilles. Felder is a late 2nd round pick, and McRae is essentially a D-League level player that barely played for us last year.
Still, if backup point guard is our biggest issue ... I can't complain too much.
I hope the Cavs are somehow able to bring in Chalmers. I think he would be an excellent fit on this team and would be an upgrade over both Delly and Mo.

Both Cole and chalmers are both upgrades over delly, so to bring one of those in would be great, Cole probably will get a nice contract yet, chalmers will be the best bet as he's just coming off an Achilles injury. He's very good defensively. Other lesser options would be Blake or hinrich, but like you said if back up of the backup pg is our biggest issue that's not too bad. But I think we have some trade exceptions left too to make a move at deadline if it's an issue.

Man, when LeBron hit the floor I thought he was def out for next year. I couldn't be convinced until I saw him stand up. I thought it was just our luck. Now, I don't even remember the play.
Still haven't signed Jr Smith. Not hearing much buzz about it either.
This will probably play out similar to the TT situation from last year. He's another Klutch guy, and for some reason they like to make the Cavs bid against themselves for contracts.
strange situation, we win a championship against crazy odds, yet we're still going to be underdogs this season against the team we just beat.. I'm really hoping for a rubber match finals, preferably on where we have Home Court..but yeah we need JR back for sure and we are going to need bench production this year. Hopefully RJ has something left, but i don't think we did enough this offseason to fix the bench given what GS has been able to do, thats what happens when you're in cap hell. Just have to stay healthy, try to keep players as rested throughout the year.. Might have to sacrifice seeding to make the long haul

The Warriors have had some freakish luck with health the last 2 seasons. Outside of Bogut they've had their entire roster able to play in the last 2 finals. If something happened to Curry, Durant, or Draymond I'd pick us over Golden State.

yeah assuming we're healthy as well, but their bench is stacked too, healthy vs healthy, we'd need alot to go our way. I'm hoping both Kyrie and TT can take that next step.
