If Clinton wins, then her nominees should come up for a vote. I am not saying that Republicans should vote for a nominee if they vehemently disagree with their positions ..... but they also should not shoot down a nominee just because the President of the other party submitted their name.

It's a shame people like this get a mic given to them-

Quote:
The WSJ reporter is quick to say that Bowman's views are not representative of most Trump supporters, but The Boston Globe found he wasn't alone. They also spoke to Bowman, who added to his earlier comments:

"I hope we can start a coup. She should be in prison or shot...We're going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that's what it takes. There's going to be a lot of bloodshed."

This bait and switch is dumb. Making the other guy wrong doesn't make you any better or more qualified. Dumb to allow that kind of mental manipulation. This is like Nixon, who always needed an enemy to distract the public. Making the opponent wrong and this bait and switch "trick" works if you want it to do so. But nobody using it should get a pass for its use. Amazed to see how bad the logic has become, how infantile it is (well, so&so did it too and more!), and how horrible it is that we have lost track of America.

We are going to vote today early. Not voting for people as much as against the worst. Today is payback time for this wretched and endless crap we have endured.

Conservatives, if this is what trump meant by "the shackles finally taken off" by calling the election rigged and such.....well.

The GOP is notorious for having to walk back comments, but good god, I've never seen so many politicians having to denounce comments and play damage control to a presidential candidate in my life.

Even Newt had to tell his ass to shut up. People are scared about a possible WW3, but hell were watching one in the conservative ideology right now.

Trump launched a nuke, and now everybody else launched one in retaliation.

It's glorious!!!!

I swear the way some people talk about Trump's intelligence, he has to be the luckiest guy in the history of the world. I don't know how a stupid person could have such success in so many different fields. It is perplexing.

Well, it helps that his Daddy left him a ton of money from which to start his empire.

And you'll have to define success to me if you think his casinos, steaks, Trump U and many other business ventures were successful. Not to mention he has left a long list of people he forced to go broke because he refused to pay them..

In General, yes, he's got a lot of money. Yes, it's in the billions. He says it's 10 billion but Forbes says it's closer to 3.7 billion. Still pretty good but like everything Trump, it's not as good as he makes it out to be.

Off topic, but politics related: Former Redsox pitcher Curt Schilling said he will run against Elizabeth Warren in 2018. Ummm, good luck with that. Trying to beat the 2nd most popular democratic senator in the entire country behind only Bernie.

Why do you say he is insane? I actually don't know much about the guy's political views, but I just searched around a bit and pulled this up on Google. It's an AMA (Ask Me Anything) from reddit.

Mainly quoting things that are relevant to politics or particularly noteworthy/funny. Answers are Schilling's. This is from about three months ago. Crudely copy+pasting, apologies if I screw something up: https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/4pppd8/curt_schilling_here_for_my_ama/

Quote:
Q: Whats your opinion on Brexit, and other potential referendums?

A: Awesome. To see the UK people basically say they want to take back both economic and social control of their country, and then do it, is outstanding. There's going to be some pain, but anything worht having is painful. Also, don't go to sleep on what the liberals did to the populace, lying their asses off about how dominant the Stay polls were, total [censored] and exactly what Liberals are going and going to keep doing here

Quote:
Q: Everyone who watches ESPN knows that they toe the liberal line. But how is that possibly enforceable in a company whose tries to market itself to sports loving dudes?

A: It's a liberal mindset. They think if they don't acknowledge the accusations then they aren't true. Up top it's the most exclusive fraudulent bunch of phonies ever

Quote:
Q: Do most athletes really buy into the SJW [censored] or are they just playing along so that they are not criticized and/or fired? I thought sports was the last refuge of true masculinity and really working hard to achieve at the highest level. Been disappointed in many athletes for showing no courage.

A: Most of the folks I knew in baseball were conservative. We understood the '10000 hours" theory because we lived it. You had to give everything you had, and be consumed with what you wanted, and you were given NOTHING.

Quote:
Q: How do we beat political correctness? It seems like if you have any criticism of Islam or illegal immigration, the left will label you a racist. What can we do to fight this?

A: Not give a [censored] what the 'left" says. THey're cowards, when they call you on it tell them to [censored] off. They'll either try to sue, look for a safe space or make up another name for you. None of that will in any way be harmful btw.

Quote:
Q: Which Hillary Scandal is your favorite?

A: First things first. Why do we allow the media to call her CRIMES scandals? Passing state secrets? Crime. Taking money from foreign gov'ts as Sec of State? Crime. Scandal? What idiot talks [censored] about landing under fire MULTIPLE TIMES without REALIZING there was video? You know who? SOmeone who thinks shes A) Above the rest of us peasants and B) Talking to a world of stupid people

Quote:
Q: Thank you for the gritty 2004 postseason. With all you accomplished on and off the field, any regrets if you don't end up in the HOF?

A: Zero, none, not a single one. If I don't make it what does that mean to me? It means a bunch of media members didn't think I belonged in the HoF. The rings stay here, my WS Trophies are leaving and I still believe the guys I played with, if they had a 1 game do or die, would want me to have the ball. I owe baseball FAR more than baseball could ever owe me. Game owes me noithing anymore

Quote:
Q: How much did you have to hold back your personal beliefs when working at ESPN?

A: Ended up not much at all, whcih is why I got fired.

Quote:
Q: D'you think the social justice movement has penetrated deep enough into sports media that athletes aren't comfortable voicing their opinions on politics anymore?

A: Absolutely

Quote:
Q: What people would you like to see on Trump's cabinet?
PS. Trey Gowdy for AG

A: Dr Carson for SG, Col West on his Joint Chiefs, Wish he'd appoint Gowdy as his vp! Thinking about Christie as his AG? First concern for me is he fills the room with people that are NOT yes sir folks

Quote:
Q: Why was ESPN attacking Tom Brady so much?

A: THe pat and in particular Tom BRady, are despised in the hallways of Bristol, since the day I arrived.Carter, Jackson, all of them hate them. Jealousy is a truly ugly emotion there

Quote:
Q: Thanks for doing this! Do you have any plans to run for office in the future?

A: Yes I do. Depending on how this falls with Mr Trump.

Quote:
Q: Hey curt! What is your favorite thing about Trump?

A: He and I share one quality. We both HATE prepared speeches but it leads to problems when we sometimes speak before we think. You don't much have to guess how he feels about things, he'll tell ya.

Quote:
Q: What do you think about the seeming haemorrhage in the Republican Party?

A: There is no more republican party. Too many lost their spines, too many forgot our core values, I dislike them as much as I dislike the vermin on the left.

Quote:
Q: Do you think ESPN has an anti-conservative agenda? If you made extreme left, communist or socialist comments, do you think things would have ended the same way?

A: 1) Yes 2) No

Quote:
Q: Hey Curt - what are your thoughts on the media's treatment of opinion statements made by individuals? Have you ever felt like certain topics were taboo?

A: Everything Center right is taboo to an industry that is committing suicide. And I love it. The media has taken off all appearances of neutrality, and let us ALL know how liberal they are and how unethical they will be to get what they want.

Quote:
Q: Do you feel like there is a danger of "coming out" as a Conservative/Trump supporter as a celebrity?

A: The only danger is if you HAVE To work for someone you don't respect and that doesn't respect the 1st Amendment. This "represents our company" [censored] is laughable. Why on earth would anyone care what people they don't know, think?

Quote:
Q: Bigger Douchebag(s): ESPN Management or A-Rod?

A: Former

Quote:
Q: Hey Curt! I grew up watching you kick ass and take names on the mound, it is an absolute honor to have you stop by. Thank you for your time.
If you had to pick the one position you disagree with most strongly that Crooked Hillary Clinton has taken as a candidate, what might that be?

A: Her stance on Immigration is reckless, dangerous and will get more Legal US Citizens killed, guaranteed.

Quote:
Q: Were you always conservative or did you change? What shaped your views?

A: My father and the country shaped my views. I had a paper route and 3 jobs going through HS, I came from poor middle class, I worked for what I wanted and worked to earn my way. I understood FICA long before the kids in this generation do I think.

Quote:
Q: What makes you want to vote for Trump in particular?

A: I have known him almost 10 years. At the end of the day I know he understands leading and making decisions is about surrounding yourself with REALLY smart people and not JUST LISTENING, but actually taking advice.

Quote:
Q: Whats your opinion on blatant media and politician lies? Should Americans who feel they have been falsely accused and lied too, be able to hold these entities accountable in a court of law and made financially whole again?
Also, should they be eligible to be labeled as traitors and incarcerated in prison?

A: The mainstream media is no longer even remotely reliable, not in the least. I think the challenge now is you have to WANT THE TRUTH to actually go get it. You will NOT be told in most cases, they're agenda driven unethical and unaccountable.

Quote:
Q: If Obama invited you to the White House, would you go?

A: No

Due to the way reddit's system works, which on the default setting is based on upvoting and not chronology, most of the more substantive answers were near the top and I skimmed past most of the ones at the bottom (as well as some of the less relevant ones throughout.)

In any case, he sounds like he would fit right in on this board! definitely a guy I'd like to have a beer with sometime.

I know what memes are but 'dank memes' is a term that I've mostly only heard Swish use. I was hoping that CHS would elaborate on how it relates to Curt Schilling/why he is insane.

The third debate means little to nothing. Most people have made up their minds. This election has been over since the first debate and the nail was in the coffin after the second debate.

The only question is how bad will Clinton beat Trump. Is it 2012 Obama or is it 1984 Reagan or somewhere in between? My guess is that it's somewhere in between.

1984 Reagan won 525-13, 58.8% to 40.6% in the popular vote

2012 Obama won 332-206, 51.1% to 47.2%

FiveThirtyEight has the popular vote pegged at Hillary 49.8%, Trump 42.8%

Trump could still win; it would probably require him to make up about 3-4% in addition to the polls being off by 3-4% (similar to Brexit.) The combination of the two is unlikely. All in all, if I had to make a prediction I'd say Clinton victory along the lines of 2012 Obama or in that vicinity.

I was more talking about the EC, not popular vote. States like Georgia, Utah, and Alaska may be in play for Clinton.

The damage Trump has done to the GOP is incredible. I don't see how the party makes it back from this.

I expect Trump will be completely unprofessional. He probably thinks he has nothing to lose and will just hammer conspiracy theories, interrupt, and be a bully. To be honest, I hope he can be professional and civil simply for healthy discourse and debate but, in this final outing he will probably aim to go down blazing and have his sights on everybody. Just listen to his recent campaign speeches about the "rigged system" and his loathing of the media. It is pretty frightening considering we are a country that has the "freedom of press" as part of the 1st Amendment! Anybody read some of the horrific things the editors of the Arizona Republic have had to put up with since they publicly endorsed Clinton? Despicable. Death threats, kidnapping threats? I mean really horrible stuff. Not to mention...what does a lot of what he has recently been focused on have to do with the very serious issues we face and are affecting us on a daily basis? Nothing.

I was listening to NPR this morning and they were talking to people in swing states. Surprise, surprise they were in Ohio and a lady said if Trump loses she would "expect and want an investigation into voter fraud". The interviewer then asked if Trump wins would she still expect and want an investigation into fraud? Of course she said "no". notallthere

I do get the sense that Trump is going to take the gloves off, to use the lame analogy I used a couple threads ago.

Possibly interesting side drama: Malik Obama, President Obama's half brother, is going to attend the debate.... as Trump's guest

That would be interesting. Flying him from his 10X10 shack in Africa. "hey, here is the president of the united states brother. He lives in poverty. His brother hasn't helped him one bit. Hillary will do the same for all the poor people that vote for her. She won't help you one bit. But, she'll make the middle class poor. And she'll talk about raising taxes on the wealthy, while all the time she's taking rich peoples money to benefit her."

And then there was this...Somebody got some splaining to do

Pol says online voting post was joke; officials not laughing

AP, Associated Press

Oct. 18, 2016 5:43 PM ET

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A Republican councilman said he deleted an online posting about casting presidential votes via Facebook and Twitter because people didn't realize he intended it as a joke, but state officials are taking the matter seriously.

No state allows voters to cast ballots via social media, and Pennsylvania's election oversight agency warned voters not to be misled by posts claiming otherwise. The governor's office also issued a statement that said efforts to disrupt the election would be prosecuted.

Joshua Lorenz, a Pittsburgh attorney and councilman in Murrysville, told The Associated Press the meme — which said, "Vote Hillary November 8th" and "You can vote at home comfortably online" — was meant as a joke for his friends. He said he took down the post within a couple hours Saturday because "the person who had questioned it, who I thought was a friend, had apparently misconstrued it."

In sharing the image, Lorenz wrote that it was "more proof that the election process is rigged," according to the online news site Billy Penn . GOP nominee Donald Trump has made similar claims.

Lorenz said he couldn't believe that anyone would miss that he intended it as a farce.

"Look at the meme itself, 'You can vote from home comfortably online.' Who could possibly think that?" he said. "It was a joke on my private page, with my friends. It wasn't for public consumption."

Pennsylvania Department of State spokeswoman Wanda Murren said she believed most Pennsylvania voters are aware that the state doesn't have online voting, but the agency nevertheless tweeted a reminder that voters have only two options: absentee ballot or showing up at the polls on Election Day.

Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf's office issued a statement saying the governor believes "any attempts to disrupt the electoral process should be investigated and prosecuted."

It's illegal in Pennsylvania for elected officials to purposely share misinformation about voting and elections. The attorney general's office said it was told to expect a referral on the matter.

Lorenz said "there's no way, shape or form that this was intended to be true or meant to influence anyone."

He added: "It was a joke. That's the full, complete truth. There is no more."

I meant it is actually going to happen. Malik Obama is a big Trump supporter.

Obama's half brother to attend presidential debate as Trump's guest

Donald Trump’s campaign said Tuesday that Malik Obama, the Kenyan half-brother of President Barack Obama, will be their guest at Wednesday night’s presidential debate.

Malik Obama, an American citizen and the son of Barack Obama Sr.’s first wife, said in July that he would be voting for Donald Trump.

“I like Donald Trump because he speaks from the heart,” he told The New York Post. “Make America Great Again is a great slogan. I would like to meet him.”

Malik Obama said he was voting for Trump in part because he blamed the death of Libyan dictator Moammar Qaddafi on Hillary Clinton. Malik Obama claims that Qaddafi was a friend of his.

On Twitter, Trump thanked Malik Obama for his support.

Wow, President Obama's brother, Malik, just announced that he is voting for me. Was probably treated badly by president-like everybody else!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 24, 2016
“I’m excited to be at the debate,” Malik Obama told the New York Post in an interview published Tuesday. “Trump can make America great again.”

Obama also told the Post that he did not believe the numerous women who have come forward in recent days to accuse Trump of assaulting them.

“I don’t believe them,” Malik Obama said. “Why didn’t they come forward before?”

The two Obamas are not close, although they both served as best man at each other’s weddings. According to President Obama who, in his bestselling memoir “Dreams of My Father,” wrote that Malik was “prone to make lengthy pronouncements on the need for the black man to liberate himself from the poisoning influence of European culture.”

Malik Obama, who also wrote a book about their father, has been critical of President Obama before.

“He says one thing and then does another,” Malik Obama told a conservative documentarian in 2015. “He’s not an honest man, as far as I’m concerned, in who he is and what he says and how he treats people.”

83 and Sunny here yesterday so I took the motorcycle to the Dr. office and to the BMV. I went through 2 towns and two Villages. Number of Trump signs in peoples yards

Trump 63

Number of Clinton's signs in peoples yards

Clinton 0

For tonight's debate, I hope Chris Wallace ask about the Supreme Court situation.

The republicans said they weren't gonna confirm anybody until the next president comes in.

Ok, stupid, but let's roll with that.

Now, since they know Hillary is gonna smoke Trump in the election, they are vowing to block anybody she nominates.

Lol, this is just as bad as the republicans "one term president" or "block anything he tries to pass" comments they made toward Obama.

They are standing up on Capitol Hill and declaring that they won't do their jobs.

And they wonder why their ideology is dying, and soon to be dead. They have changed the definition of conservatism to mean "no on everything".

Soros-Connected Company Provides Voting Machines In 16 States

David Krayden

10/18/2016

Smartmatic, a U.K.-based voting technology company with deep ties to George Soros, has control over voting machines in 16 states including battleground zones like Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Other jurisdictions affected are California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

Its website includes a flow-chart that describes how the company has contributed to elections in the U.S. from 2006-2015 with “57,000 voting and counting machines deployed” and “35 million voters assisted.”

In 2005, Smartmatic bought-out California-based Sequoia Voting Systems and entered the world of U.S. elections.

According to Smarmatic’s website, “In less than one year Smartmatic tripled Sequoia’s market share” and “has offered technology and support services to the Electoral Commissions of 307 counties in 16 States.”

Among the “case studies” that Smartmatic lists on its website as examples of its work are Venezuela, where it has been facilitating elections since 2004 when it “won a bid to provide Venezuela with a reliable voting system.”

It also lists Cook County, Illinois as another success story, when in “in 2006, Smartmatic signed what at the moment was the largest election automation contract in US history.” Cook County includes Chicago and its suburbs, a geographic zone that has historically and lately been subject to criticism for voter fraud.

The chairman of Smartmatic is Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, who sits in the British House of Lords and on the board of George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. He was formerly the vice-chairman of Soros’s Investment Funds and even the deputy secretary-general of the United Nations when he worked as chief of staff to Kofi Annan.

Malloch-Brown’s resume includes stints as vice-president of the UN World Bank and in British Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s cabinet.

In addition to a close relationship with Soros, Malloch-Brown has worked with consulting firms that are well-connected to Bill and Hillary Clinton. He was an international partner with the Sawyer-Miller consulting firm and was a senior adviser to FTI Consulting.

One of Sawyer-Miller’s alumni is Mandy Grunwald, who ran the firm’s communication contract for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential run. She was also the head of communications for Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful 2008 presidential bid.

Jackson Dunn, who is a senior managing director with FTI Consulting, spent 15 years in Washington where he worked as an aide to President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hilllary Clinton.

Smartmatic has already encountered controversy in the ongoing presidential contest. It ran the online balloting for the Utah Republican caucus last March, when many critics said it was impossible to secure personal electronic devices that are used to register and vote.

I had poll training last evening. Here are acceptable non - photo forms of ID:

Questionable in my opinion:

Utility bill
Paycheck
Firearm permit
Bank statement
Government check

Not so concerning in my opinion:

Voter ID card issued by elections office
Non photo-ID issued by a US government agency
ID issued by another Commonwealth Agency

You make the decision regarding voter fraud. Given the first set, very feasible.
