You see what happens when you disrespect republican Jesus on the debate stage.
Even Hillary knew better.

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
You mean the war on drugs that Bill Clinton, for his part, increased the anti-drug budget by twenty-five percent, proposed expanded drug testing rules and intensified efforts toward drug interdiction and prosecution?
This isn't even a decent spin job. This is a bad attempt to deflect off of what Reagan did. Clinton has nothing to do with Reagan. You also assume I'm a fan of Bill Clinton.
Also, what are you talking about with the drug testing rules?
Do you mean like the same thing you did, only you couldn't even stay on topic?

Just thought something that Trump uses is very funny. He always asks Hillary why she didn't "fix things" during her time in politics. Well, in case he or any of hiss followers are confused about that, she only had one vote in the senate. As a First Lady of a state or nation, you have no vote on policy.
No single senator can dictate law or change things on their own.
Just a post for clarification.

He also got on her for voting for a border wall. And that Obama deports million of people. He has no clue what he's doing and he has no clue how our government works.

Just what in the hell did Reagan's war on drugs have to do with abortion?
unfortunately for you, there is no war on abortion.
women's rights have won. you should probably focus more on making it easier for people to adopt. the adoptions process is way too expensive and way too long. there are plenty of really good people out there who can't have kids, but the process is beyond ridiculous.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Now when it comes to adoptions we can agree on that. The expense and the process are both asinine, and both make it to hard and to frustrating for some people to be able to do.

Thank you for mentioning this. I have an Aunt and Uncle who would make incredible parents. They physically can't have kids, but adopting is a pain in the ass.
Gary Johnson- I like some of his ideas. However, he comes across as too much of a goofball which hurts him.
Jill Stein- She really doesn't have any plans for her ideas and it's why she's losing badly to Gary. She says the "right" things, but I'm not sure if she has an actual way of implementing anything she says.
John Oliver pretty much put to rest anybody thinking about voting for those two.

Jill Stein is the left equivalent of Trump. She doesn't have a plan, but what she says sounds fantastic to her base. Her running mate is an extremist. This is a boring watch, but she also doesn't understand how nukes work.

And this is why it's so important that we not only vote against trump, but make this a landslide ass whooping to send a message that we won't be like the Roman Empire.
We won't be like hitler and Germany.
And we damn sure won't be trump and the alt right.

I think it is important to vote against Hillary so we won't be like the Roman Empire in regards to decadence and laziness. You know, the reasons for their fall.

Their fall was pointed out by the retired surpreme court justice.
Anyway, Hillary isn't the reason for laziness. We gotta look in the mirror for that.
Anyway, it won't matter, Hillary will be winning this election.

I'm sure the Germans thought the same thing.
I've already addressed that post.
Won't matter, Hillary will be winning. The American people would rather not find out if history will repeat itself with guys like trump. The master persauder ended up outsmarting himself.

The German/WWII comparisons are so outlandish that they're really not even worth responding to (irony noted.)
I've already accepted that Hillary will probably win. As I've written before, I see her as having some of the worst qualities of Republican candidates, Democratic candidates, and politicians in general. It is what it is. If she indeed does get elected then hopefully she has learned from some of her mistakes, surrounds herself with smart people and does a good job going forward.
they might seem outlandish to you, but to a lot of people they are certainly warranted.
again, when jews and germans are making the comparison, i'll stick to the people who know what they're talking about before considering your awesome breakdown of "outlandish".
you keep saying you've accepted hillary winning, but it seems you can't accept the "why" or "how". when people tell you the "why" or "how", you use words like "outlandish" and "confirmation bias".
you and your favorite comic strip writer's refusal to see the pink elephant in the room is not the fault of the majority. its the fault of your own.
maybe he should stick to comic strip writing. and maybe you should finally open your eyes and realize why Trump never was gonna win this election.
i told you day one, bro. day freaking one. the best thing that could happen to the democrats was Trump winning the republican primary. i really wish we could find those threads from last year.
Damn, maybe i should start writing blogs. at least i know i'm already a better source that the comic strip writer.

anyways, hopefully conservatives can finally realize that they need to appeal to a broader variety of people in this country. you kinda gotta appeal to all demographics, not just a couple.
they probably won't, because stubbornness, but still.

I appreciate your effort, but I disagree.
I already know that you disagree. Case in point: you say that half of Trump supporters are dirtbags. It's really not all that much different than Hillary's statement about half being Deplorable (racist, sexist, etc.)
That 'Pink Elephant' post would actually have a better place in the "The Divide" thread. Take what RocketOptimist says sometimes (paraphrasing): we should all make an effort to put ourselves in others' shoes, to try to understand how they think.
Doesn't that article more accurately represent what is actually happening than your assertion that half of Trump supporters are dirtbags? The truth is that where you see evidence of Trump being this crazy racist Hitler, I see nothing of the sort. When you break down the actual logical reasoning behind why he is supposed to be those things, it all just breaks down. You need a lot of inferences and yes, confirmation bias to get there.
Think about your day to day experiences. Are 20-25% of the people you know (i.e. half of Trump supporters or thereabouts) actually crazy, racist, dirtbags? That is so far removed from my experiences and observations that I just flat out think it's wrong/incorrect.
The reality is that people look at something and they see different things. Acknowledge that and you might have some hope of reconciling different views. You might also see why I think the 'half' number that you and Hillary throw around is outrageous.
you can sue anybody for anything, so whatever. doesn't mean you will win, but it's his right.
but man, this scorched-earth campaign he's running....who told him this was a good idea?
he doesn't have enough people backing him to have the pitchfork and torches crowd to work effectively in a campaign.
this is gonna look really bad for the conservative base and the GOP if they end up losing worse than Romney did.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
yea it's whatever. like i said it's well within his right to sue.
i guess the point i'm making is if you're actively trying to win an election, announcing things like this isn't gonna exactly help.

Accusing politicians of sex crimes/infidelity/weirdness to discredit them is like Politics 101 (maybe Pol 102.) It happens all the time.
Bill has been accused Hillary has been accused of intimidating victims Trump has been accused Ted Cruz with the affair stuff Bernie with the rape fantasy stories Joe Biden has his creepy-ass tape talking to a 13 year old Assange has been accused
etc etc. How much truth there is to any of those.. I just simply have no idea. What I do know is that politicians and political activists are regularly accused of some really nasty stuff at a very bad time for them. Certainly some of them are even true. Which ones? The ones that are directed at people we don't like, of course.
I think you're in denial about the nasty side of your party. I don't deny the ugly extremists on the left and try to label it as just an elephant in the room.
However, most of bill's accusations came after he was already president.
what i'm saying is if you're gonna sue the women making the accusations, go right ahead.
but if you're actively trying to win an election, then announcing that during the election season is gonna help at all. after the election, whether you win or lose, then fine.
these accusations happen all the time to tons of candidates...hell around the world.
what matters is how you handle it during the election cycle. So as of right now, the way Trump is handling this is telling me either:
A. he knows he's not gonna win so it's YOLO, witch trial hunt time, or
B. he is flat out refusing to take any sort of advice from his campaign staff and just trying to replicate the same success he had during the primaries.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
also, he needs to tell his son to keep his mouth shut, if he is indeed trying to win an election:
In an interview with Seattle-based conservative talk radio host Dori Monson Friday, Donald Trump Jr. said that conversations like the one in which his father has described his penchant for groping and kissing women without their consent are “a fact of life.”
“Obviously, he’s not happy about that,” Trump Jr. said of his father’s language on the tape, which sparked a small stream of revoked endorsements from prominent Republicans followed by a wave of sexual assault and misconduct allegations after it was released to the public earlier this month.
“We all know guys that have had conversations with other guys that go a little bit in that direction,” he continued. “That’s a fact of life.”
I played sports in high school, and the Army might as well be one big ass gym membership, and never in my life have any of my homeboys, nor have i heard anybody through passing talking about sexually assaulting women as an ok thing to do.
fact of life? he really needs to just go away.

I'm perfectly aware that there are some nasty people on the right as well. My main disagreement is on numbers and prevalence. You say it's 50%. I've said it was 1% and honestly I even think that is high, but it already sounds like an aggressively low number as it is so I just say 1% and move on.
If Trump gets 60 million votes this election, that 1% represents 600,000 people. Many of those are very vocal and not afraid to share their opinions.
Let's say .1% of those 1% (i.e. 600 people) are really dedicated and want to go out of their way to cause havoc. With skilled manipulation of social media, using multiple accounts, proxies, VPNs, various scripts, etc. they could pretty much completely swamp social media with a whole lot of nonsense.
You might disagree with the numbers but a lot of that is going on, on both sides. Even one of the Wikileaks releases said something like 20 members of Clinton's CTR team (basically paid leftist trolls) can post an incredible amount of material on many different sites. Call it force projection or whatever.
Think about your experiences in the real world. Do you really think half the people who support Trump are dirtbags? I just think you are not realizing that people can genuinely hear what Trump has to say and come to very different conclusions.
It's not even about Trump at this point-- I imagine we've all made up our minds on who we're going to vote for. It's about understanding what 'the other side' is thinking. The same can be said the other way around, by the way. I'll save that for another post though (maybe).
Oh, I have no doubt she will win. I won't vote for either of them nor support either of them.
I am commenting on Hillary because you brought up Trump and the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire was actually successful while they were conquering the rest of the world. Their demise was caused by their laziness, decadent life-style, gluttony, etc.
Hillary is going to aide the lazy and make hard-working folks pay for those who don't want to work. It's no surprise that so many like her.
Do nothing......get something.........and complain about how bad our country is.
you claim to be unbiased but then go on to slam people who support hillary as lazy, yet say nothing about the other side.
but thankfully, you're wrong and it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
Our nation will be fine with Hillary running it. continue whining to somebody who will listen.
