The Browns' obsession with the bottom 10 on their roster is hilarious. Yo Sashi, check out the top 10 on your roster. It's a freaking JOKE, and two of them (Pryor, Collins) are probably outta here after this season. How do you consider this move an obsession? Uh duh, why aren't they signing any Pro Bowl players off the waiver wire? Stupid Browns.. which pro bowlers were thinking of? just curious.

It's funny how the guys who are wrong each and every time are the ones acting like others are clueless. Letting your better players go, not signing proven free agents, picking the scraps off of other teams' rosters, and spending much of your time on marketing ideas is surely the right way to go.

Working the waiver wire when you have first dibs and the worst roster in the league is totally valid. But they also need to spend some of that cap money for solid, quality free agents and start drafting impact players instead of trading down and acquiring picks. As awful as they are, and as many mistakes as I believe they have made, I am not ready to pull the plug on this latest rebuilding effort.

Come on man, they are constantly massaging the last few spots on the active roster, along with the Practice Squad, as if they - and only they - are the ones who see something in these guys that are other teams' dregs. It reminds me of the threads around here about UDFA's after the draft is over. They've picked up a few good players that way. The question is in whether they have picked up good players using draft picks.

They would do it because Haslam has proven to be cheap. He puts his money into marketing venues, not improving the team. NRTU A cheap individual does not voluntarily refurbish (5) area high school football fields with new synthetic turf...at likely 500k-750k per field. That supposedly cheap owner's FO offered a very competitive contract to the only player that they lost in FA who they wanted to keep AND had a chance to convince to stay and that player didn't sign it. There are plenty of reasons to bash the FO and owner (like screwing around with Schwartz-he wasn't low-balled)...but some people would rather twist the reality to fit their agenda.

I'd add that MOST Browns fans I talk with are adamant about taking actual players this next draft - in the top (5) or so picks - and only make trades to move into position to draft other player(s) that we really covet. No trading down early this next draft.

Wonder if this means that the Browns will let the Crow fly away? Might as well. They don't use him. Hue is more interested in his QB throwing the ball. We throw near 65% of the time. We get sacked over 10% of the time. That isn't a good combination. The coach needs to see this and make adjustments. I know you are a big "coach" guy, but I am not so sure this guy has what it takes. Don't get in a uproar, I am not calling for any heads or anything like that, but Hue has to make some adjustments.

LOL....as I said, I am not calling for any jobs at this moment, but I do agree that whole QB whisperer thing was pretty funny.
I do believe that in many cases a person reaches their level of incompetence.
A person who is fully competent to perform one job isn't necessiarly able to do the next job in line. Rex Ryan and Norv Turner are good examples.

Psssttttt............it's all about the lack of talent on the roster.
I tried telling you guys that BEFORE the damn season, but I was clueless according to all the football experts on this freaking board. I'm pretty damn sick of it.

Yeah...YOU are the ONLY poster on the board who saw that we lacked talent at the start of the season. Gimme a break. I don't remember ONE SINGLE POSTER who was claiming that we had the talent on this team to win.

No trading down. Take the pick in position of greatest need. The idea of getting more of the leftovers isn't working. Take your picks in the first 2-3 rounds at least and "play" with the crapshoots." Or use lower picks to move up for our biggest needs. At least three key FA signings might help, THEN attack the draft. Big numbers of "not quite" players just hasn't worked. Use some of the cap, set a percentage, or a number of players we want for sure. Having huge number of picks hasn't gone well; some may develop, but we need a Zeke type as far as degree of success IMO.

Browns waive OL Jonathan Cooper Posted 2 hours ago The Cleveland Browns have waived OL Jonathan Cooper. OL Alvin Bailey, who was suspended the past two games, will revert back to the active roster once his roster exemption expires tomorrow. Cooper joined the Browns via waivers from New England prior to Week 6. He appeared in five games with the Browns and started the past three games at right guard. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/arti...25-fcee985d91d6

I am surprised by this move. Cooper seemed like he played better than Bailey in his limited time with the starters.
Is this as simple as Bailey is under contract for next year and Cooper is not?

That's pretty surprising. I feel bad for Cooper, such a talent before the injuries. He must be done. I mean, we're carrying 4 rb's for whatever reason.

Unless there is something unknown going on, like an injury or an upcoming PED issue, I think this is a bad move. I don't get it.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

This is shocking. He didn't play as well this past week as the week before, but he isn't as bad as Erving.
Has to be another issue. Character? Drugs? I have no idea, but this move seemingly came out of nowhere.

I can't figure this one out either. He was PFF's highest ranked guard on the first week that he started. His run blocking is fantastic.

I am confused by this as well.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

He had atleast 2 vicous pancake blocks in this last game and this was his worst game as a brown which was way better than Bailey ever had in his entire career. This move makes no sense at all.

but he isn't as bad as Erving.
That statement is wrong.
What I do know is that he didn't seem to know the line calls as there was some blocking assignments missed sometimes making Erving look bad.
I didn't view him every play but I do remember us running left and he pulled he ran right by potential Defenders to block and then turned up field as if he was running the ball untouched. Crowell got crushed behind him. I hate when that happens its a simple concept turn towards the middle if there is not a kickout block and get a LB. That play stood out for me.
I thought he had a pretty good first game for us and got ecited but he slowly went downhill from there. Also what we don't know is any internal problems...the guy was a high draft pick and didn't get much playing time and then let go. Of course not there to know specific reasons.

Bailey has two years left on his contract, Cooper has none. That is the only thing I can think of. Maybe we sign Cooper back, if he doesn't get claimed, after Sunday's game?
