I agree. I don't remember Hue saying anything about there being a elite QB prospect out there.
Too bad the team gets your season ticket money before the draft. If not and they drafted a QB at number 1 this year, I'd dump my tickets.

Hue may have said that. I just can't find the link.
I just noticed that tab is using that information to say that the Browns are going to draft a qb in round one. I'd just like to see some proof.

We won't know that until they coach the senior bowl, possibly combine and pro days.
I'll tell you this though. If Hue and the coaching staff feels like there isn't the guy in this draft class, and the FO takes one in the first round anyway, it's gonna be some major beef between the FO and coaching staff.
I know Kessler was Hue's pick, and more than likely he's just a backup, with for a third rounder is fine. But I still will trust Hue's judgement on QB's in the draft over Sashi and Paul.

I don't know that it came from Hue but I remember about half way through that season there was a report that the Browns were looking at a college QB as a possible answer to the QB situation and then shortly after that it came out that we were scouting Trubisky.

I remember hue saying that as well. The question was if he thought there was a franchise type qb we could get for next year and his response was vague but confident kinda of like "oh yeah there is one".

I did read the part about them scouting Trub and Watson. Along w/Garrett and maybe a couple of others.
That's a far cry from tab said, though.
Right now.......I don't believe any of us have any idea what the Browns will do. There are possibilities that make sense:
--Draft a qb in the first round [I don't think this makes sense, but that is just my opinion...LOL]
--Trade for Jimmy G
--Wait to address the QB situation until next year.
I don't know what the Browns will do. And I don't think anyone else on here does either.

Yeah it's one thing to say this what they should do or what I would do, etc. It gets annoying when people act like they know what will happen. It's all fun speculation until then. I will say this though. The 1st thing to likely go down will be Jimmy. Whether it's us or someone else it impacts us A LOT and will give us a much clearer picture.

Vers...I go every day onto the Browns Web site first and usually read some articles and watch some videos. Every day.
All I remember is that it was during the season - not at the beginning we were at least around 9-11 losses. And it was a passing question as in a statement to Hue saying there is not Overall #1 pick worthy QB in this draft. When Hue said emphatically that there was.
Sorry I cannot provide the link...I did try to look in the videos of Nov. December. but I think they do not save all of them.
But it was something that made me do a double take and I remembered it. You can believe it or not. Possibly they pulled it cause we are in draft mode now? Shortly after was reports that we were very interested in Trubisky.
But I know what I heard so I will continue to think we will pull that trigger at #1. Hey as long as HUE is certain.

Mary Kay i believe and this is solely on recollection asked Hue if there was a franchise QB in this draft possibly worthy of being #1 one. Hue said I believe there is but we will have to let the process unfold or something to that extent and it may not be at #1.
thats based on my memory anyway.

No problem. I looked for it and couldn't find it. I thought you might have the link.
I wanted to read it in context.
Again, I maintain that none of us know what the Browns will do in the draft. I bet they probably haven't yet decided who they are drafting yet.
Just trying to keep things real.

Mourg's recollection jogged my memory. I do believe he's correct.
