A 48 year old white heterosexual male with anger issues . I have narcissistic tendencies and unresolved feelings of economic inadequacy due to a poor childhood . I tend to mask those problems with too much alcohol , too much work and too little therapy .
That do for starters ? Lol

LOL..........certainly not the reply I expected.

We all have our issues, Ire. It's a pretty crazy world, especially for us working stiffs who have families.

Hopefully, we can learn to support one another rather than degrade each other.

But, it isn't boring.

I said this earlier...........and no one responded, not even Clem.

But, consider this...........think about all the energy that is expended on insulting, hating, degrading other people and groups. I mean............it's overwhelming and why I don't read most of the posts on this forum.

Now, what if we took about half of that energy and time, and dedicated it to trying to help one another? What if we spent the time researching how to help people instead of degrading them? What if we took the time to honor one another rather than insult one another? What if we tried to make our nation stronger by supporting one another rather than spending so much time and effort on in-fighting?

Wouldn't the world be a better place?

That's not "boring," 40. That's like incredibly uplifting and interesting. It's a different take. It could be rewarding.

And you know what, 40? Even if we can't help others as much as we would like.............the benefits to the "self" in trying to help others is incredible.

Stop being consumed by hate and bias. Open up your hearts and try to mend the differences among us.

High schoolers charged: Henry Sanchez, 18 (pictured) and Jose Montano, 17, have been charged with raping a 14-year-old female classmate in a Maryland high school bathroom

Disturbing new details have emerged in the case of two teenage immigrants living in Maryland, one of them illegally, who are accused of brutally raping and sodomizing their 14-year-old female classmate in a bathroom stall on campus.

The alleged assault happened Thursday morning at Rockville High School in Montgomery County, leading to the arrests of 17-year-old Jose Montano, from El Salvador, and 18-year-old Henry Sanchez, from Guatemala, on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sexual assault.

A probable cause statement filed on Friday at the Montgomery County District Court by the arresting officer painted a harrowing picture of the rape, based on an interview with the alleged victim and physical evidence gathered at the scene.

According to the court document, obtained by the station WJLA, Montano and Sanchez accosted the girl in the hallway at around 9am Thursday.

The girl knew only one of the teens, Montano, who allegedly asked her for a hug, then slapped her butt and asked her to walk with them.

As the trio were passing by a boys’ bathroom on the way to the gym, the 17-year-old Montano repeatedly asked the girl to have sex with him and his friend, and when she refused they allegedly forced her into the restroom.

The probable cause document describes the assault in extremely graphic detail, recounting how the alleged victim grabbed onto a sink to avoid being forced into a stall, but the two suspects shoved her inside.

Once in the stall, the document states that Montano allegedly opened the girl's top and 'pulled her breasts out to play with,' then unbuckled her pants and pulled them down.

The two teenagers then allegedly proceeded to take turns holding down the young girl while forcing her to perform oral sex on them and raping her both vaginally and anally on the toilet multiple times while communicating with one another in Spanish.

Throughout the ordeal, the document stated, the victim screamed out in pain and repeatedly told her friend Montano, and Sanchez to stop.

After the horrific attack, police said Sanchez covered the victim’s head with his coat and led her out of the bathroom as Montano ordered her to be quiet.

The freshman girl immediately reported the assault to school administrators and law enforcement officials were summoned to the scene to investigate.

A forensic expert was later able to recover physical evidence in the form of blood and semen from the bathroom stall.

Henry Sanchez is believed to have entered the US illegally from Guatemala via Mexico seven months ago, at which time he was detained by a Border Patrol agent in Rio Valley Grande, Texas.

He is now facing deportation proceedings as he had a pending 'alien removal' case against him, according to the Washington Post.

Montano arrived from El Salvador about eight months ago. Immigration and Customs Enforcement won't report on his immigration status because he is a minor.

Despite their age, both the boys were placed in the ninth grade.

Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Dr Jack Smith on Monday told Fox 5 that Sanchez and Montano were enrolled in the Rockville school's multidisciplinary program for English learners.

Montano is charged as an adult, but police have not released his booking photo.

On Friday, Rockville High School sent a letter to parents addressing the incident and the arrests, according to WUSA.

'Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment for all of our students is our top priority. Our staff remains vigilant in the monitoring of our school each and every day,' the note said in part.

Gboyinde Onijala, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Public Schools, said that staff at Rockville High will increase monitoring of the hallways and bathrooms. The school has one school resource officer.

The rape of a 14-year-old girl inside a Maryland high school, allegedly by at least one much older illegal immigrant, is stoking anger but having little effect on local politicians committed to so-called "sanctuary" policies.

Parents of students at Rockville High School, where the victim was brutally assaulted in a boys bathroom by two immigrant classmates, ages 17 and 18, vented at a PTA meeting Tuesday night.

"I'm very mad. I can't believe this is happening in my kids' school,” said a parent who identified herself only as Liz. “There are a lot of people here that maybe don't belong here. They haven't been checked out and I really need to know that my kids are safe."

“I know that if this country enforced the laws that are already on the books those two young men would not have been here and this rape, this horrendous rape, would not have occurred."

Residents of the Montgomery County community told Fox News the suspects have no place in classrooms with children several years younger. Illegal immigrants with language deficits are typically placed in lower grades at public schools in sanctuary communities around the country.

“I know that if this country enforced the laws that are already on the books those two young men would not have been here and this rape, this horrendous rape, would not have occurred," said one local parent.

Said another: "I'm really outraged by the situation in Montgomery County, I'm a lifelong resident."

Most seemed unmoved by school officials' defense of the policy of not cooperating with federal immigration officials.

"This is not an issue that we're going to move to the political level, although a lot of people want to do it,” said Jack Smith, superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools. “The fact is, these students were not in the same class, but many students between the 9th and 12th grades are in the same classes, in the same band class, in the same world language class, same play after school."

Robin Ficker, an attorney who attended the meeting, said officials do not seem to grasp the situation.

“The mood was simply, 'cover our reputation,'” Ficker said. "There were long speeches from the principal, from the superintendent, from others who were associated with them explaining why this could never have happened when it did. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound to cure it.”

The community is one of several in Maryland considering formal adaptation of sanctuary status, a designation marking varying degree of non-cooperation with the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

At least one of the suspects in the attack last Thursday, 18-year-old Guatemala native Henry Sanchez, had been stopped by a Border Patrol agent in August 2016 in Rio Valley Grande, Texas, when he entered the country illegally from Mexico. Sanchez was ordered to appear before an immigration judge, but the hearing had not yet been scheduled.

The immigration status of the other suspect, identified by police as Jose Montano, 17, of El Salvador, was not clear.

“You have young adult males that really do not have our culture and you are putting them in the same classroom as our 14-year-old girls and they are saying, 'There is nothing we can do about that – sorry,'” said community member Theresa Rickman.

Asked by Fox News why Montgomery County actively cooperates with Federal authorities on illegal immigration only after a crime has been committed, Montgomery County’s Council President Roger Berliner replied, “One of two individuals was stopped by ICE in Texas and released. How is this on us?"

That attitude did not sit well with critics of the sanctuary policy.

“The smugness and disingenuous language being used by Berliner is heinous,” said Jeff Werner of immigrant watchdog group Help Save Maryland. “Blaming ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for letting the illegal immigrant stay in the country [is] almost as if they are sidestepping the whole problem by saying, ‘We welcome everyone, regardless of their immigration status.’ They don’t even know if these illegals even have a crime record."

Montgomery County Public Schools has a "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy regarding illegals in the school system.”

“We do not conduct background checks on any of our students. There is no provision in the law for that,” said Montgomery County Public Schools spokesperson Gboyinde Onijala, “We have students in our district that are US citizens that commit crimes and/or come to our schools with criminal records.”

When asked why the school district is resisting calls to examine its policies with regards to illegal immigrants, Onijala turned on the questioner.

“The U.S. Supreme Court… requires that schools not take any action that may discourage participation or exclude students based on their immigration status," Onijala said. "It is appalling that Fox News and others are insisting on making this a conversation about immigration when the focus should be on the victim… This is a crime that could be committed by anyone—white, black, Asian, Hispanic, documented and undocumented.”

I think you may be missing the point my friend. Yes, you certainly can post those types of articles, but one thing they likely won't contain is situations where the perpetrator shouldn't have been there to commit the crime in the first place.

I don't weigh in on this thread too often because honestly I don't know how I feel about it's purpose. I can see on one hand where it could be seen as exploiting these tragic situations. But on the other hand, by discouraging people from bringing this stuff to light is dismissive of the horrible things that someone like this girl went through.

I do know however that anyone who claims building the Wall is racist, will not be effective, or is impractical is purposefully being disingenuous and obtuse. Walls have been used to great effect throughout history. The Israelis built a wall and the number of suicide attacks dropped dramatically. The Communists used it to good effect to keep people in back in Germany.

The need to control the movement of people is something we do in nearly every facet of our lives every day. We build fences around our homes and around businesses. Heck, we even use barricades and velvet ropes to control crowds entering a venue. Imagine Cleveland Stadium if they got rid of the security checkpoints, ticket scanners, opened all the doors, and got rid of the turn styles?

We'd have an unsustainable flood of people on Game Day. Sure, most will be good fans, but their will always be that contingent of Steelers fans mucking it all up.

In Wake of Rockville Rape, School Superintendent Accuses Parents of Racism

In Wake of Rockville Rape, School Superintendent Accuses Parents of Racism

In the wake of an alleged brutal rape at Rockville High School in Maryland by two illegal aliens last week, Montgomery County Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith is accusing parents of racism and xenophobia. He also claims threats are being made against students and schools.

"While I know this tragic incident has become part of a national political debate, I want to remind community members that the lives of real students have been forever affected," Smith sent in an email Thursday morning. "While many have chosen to engage civilly in the conversation, far too many have crossed the line with racist, xenophobic calls and emails. MCPS is working with law enforcement to identify those who are making threats toward our students and schools. This behavior will not be tolerated in our community."

Nowhere in the email was it mentioned the suspects are in the country illegally, with at least one facing deportation.

Parents have been protesting outside of Smith's office in recent days and did not mince words about the situation during a public meeting Tuesday night. One parent said he took his daughter out of school last year because of an unsafe environment.

Smith avoided questions about the alleged sexual assault for days and had to be confronted by a reporter in the parking lot outside of his office before finally answering questions. He is in charge of 204 schools in the district.

Meanwhile, Republican Governor Larry Hogan is demanding answers.

"Why is an 18-year-old man in a class with 13 or 14-year-old girls? Why was his status not known to those folks? Why was he allowed to enter the country after he was picked up for illegally crossing the border—both of them? So there are a lot of questions,” Hogan told Fox 5. "My biggest concern is the Montgomery County School System and their lack of cooperation and the lack of information they've been providing. Not only have they refused to provide any information to us, but they've refused to provide information to the state Board of Education, which specifically requested more information."
