They said on WKNR that it could be a 3 team trade with the Redskins getting our 12 and and 2nd we got from Houston while SF gets Cousins an we get SF's #2 pick which gives us the top 2 picks in this draft ... I think I would make that trade
Why wouldn't Washington just take the #2 pick? That makes no sense.
Just telling you what they said and they added Washington was looking for multipe picks ...
I don't remember it was the show on a little before or after 6 ...
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
i would take garrett and allen back to back at 1 and 2
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.
Let's hope that one is false. Or, better yet..........the Browns are putting it out there in order to get NE to trade Jimmy G or Washington to trade us Cousins.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."
McCarron would have atleast had a playoff victory to his resume if a couple of Bengals players wouldn't have went brain dead. He'd be the best QB on this team in awhile.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Browns "aren't expected" to make a run at Redskins franchise player Kirk Cousins, but that three other teams have in the past 10 days and were "immediately turned down."
Profootballtalk reported Tuesday there's a "growing belief" in league circles Cleveland will make a play for Washington's disgruntled quarterback. Beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reports it's unlikely because of both the draft pick compensation and contract the rebuilding Browns would have to shell out. It's still not a categorical denial. The Redskins have adopted a "This Is Fine." public posture with their quarterback, but the rest of the league isn't buying it.
There is nothing going on right now. The media is manufacturing stories by connecting obvious dots. We need a QB. We have lots of picks and money available. Washington's QB wants to get traded. They want picks and he costs lots of money. The Browns are interested in Kirk Cousins!
You could post that in any of the following threads also...
Jimmy G 1-7 Report: Browns have interest in Geno Smith The Annual Tease: Josh Gordon per report 3 teams interested in the Crow Cole: Browns, 49ers could be destination in trade for Kirk Cousins...

Who said it on the show?
If it was said on WKNR it is complete and utter nonsense. It was likely said on 'The Insiders' with Erin and "insider" Je'Rod Cherry. The show and the super hot takes are cringeworthy at best.

I don't know what WKNR is known for other than the Cleveland Browns Daily Show. Whoever said that was on drugs.

WKNR used to be a quality sports station, it's a dumpster fire over the past several years. Every topic is the lowest possible hang fruit.
As for how bad it is.... Indians color analyst, Rick Manning, was asked by host Je'Rod Cherry last summer, "If Tomlin continues to struggle, is there any chance they replace him with Naquin in the rotation?"

While both those QBs are better then what we have, both are also on 1 year deals right now and would need to be signed to long term deals, I don't see Cousins doing that here, and really not sure Garrapolo would either. I mean you never know what could happen but even if we brought one here i wouldn't say QB problem solved. Not till they sign long term. And that's not agiven.
According to CSN New England's Michael Giardi, restricted free agent Malcolm Butler has "very much warmed up to the idea" of playing for the Saints.
Butler is open to playing closer to home. He grew up in Vicksburg, Miss. and played his college ball at West Alabama. In addition to the default hometown Saints, the Texans have also reportedly shown interest in Butler, possibly as an A.J. Bouye replacement. Neither team is likely open to giving up their first-round pick for Butler, though it's possible the Saints could be willing to flip back the Patriots' original first-rounder (No. 32) they got for Brandin Cooks.

my problem with acquiring Jimmy G (and that's a big stretch itself) is extending him ... what do you offer? what is he going to accept? that's a tough agreement to be had

I agree it's a concern for both those QBs. I wouldn't even do the trade till I had the contract already in place. They could easily come here for a year, refuse to sign and be gone again. And we'd be back at square one.

You could always let him play out the last year of his contract.
And then based on that year. You can either offers him a deal. Or franchise him.
If he's good. And we in turn are good. Money doesn't matter.
Unless you're Washington.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Bingo.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
Man FA market has completely died down after the Black Friday Sale!
We don't have a franchise QB so all Assume we are desperate for ANY QB...even McKarren who I think is a lateral move and doesn't make us better. Rather go with Kessler.
JG was legitimate but I think that has settled down as we are not falling for Pats trade conditions when we have the best deals for them. So they aren't buying and we aren't giving up our One or ONES! that they want. How stubborn or smart is BB will he end up losing JG for almost nothing to spite his face?
Well I think we are going into the draft with ONE possibly need that we would reach for...QB
And hey its been that way for a while. I seriously doubt we utilize #1 for the QB pick. And the rest will all depend on who Hue likes as our Guy!
We had a great PRE-Draft session...and this draft coming is so deep at certain positions its almost an automatic that we get better with young talent!
jmho
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
I think we will trade back if it is a QB we want. I have a feeling all are overvalued and will start going late first round.
It is all about gaining picks with our FO. Even if we don't want any of the QB's we will probably still drop back in the first to gain something elsewhere. My guess is for another pick next year. Possibly a 1st if we drop down in to the mid 20's. That may even warrant a pick this year....say a 3rd.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
Hunter has massively under achieved since being highly touted as a Soph/Junior in college. We'll see how he does in Pitt

Rex Burkhead's one-year, $3.15 million deal makes him the highest-paid Patriots running back since Fred Taylor in 2010.
The Patriots haven't paid a running back $2-plus million in over a half-decade. Some Patriots fans apparently assumed Burkhead would be a special teams-only replacement for Brandon Bolden. According to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Burkhead is "viewed as a key cog, both offensively and on special teams" by the Patriots, while the Providence Journal's Mark Daniels believes Burkhead "is coming to the Patriots with a chance to be their starting running back."

I hate to say this but Burkhead is perfect for the Patriots ...
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Patriots re-signed ILB Dont'a Hightower to a four-year, $43.5 million contract with $19 million guaranteed.
The Jets' birthday cupcakes to Hightower earlier this week weren't enough to convince him to sign with their league-worst franchise, while the Steelers never seemed to be a serious contender. All roads led back to New England. Hightower's market didn't develop quite like he had hoped, and the Patriots were able to keep their 27-year-old inside thumper after trading away ILB Jamie Collins to the Browns last season. Hightower was Pro Football Focus' No. 5 inside linebacker out of 59 qualifiers in 2016, receiving plus marks across the board for his pass rush, coverage, and run defense. Everything seems to be working in the Patriots' favor this offseason. They probably have more up their sleeve.
