Am I the only one who can just see Kim Jung rutrow raggy screwing up and having one of his test missiles land in Beijing?

Regardless of whether the test launch worked or not, the Fat Kid has still extended a middle finger to us, as well as the Chinese. He appears to be seriously unhinged, and therefore, dangerous. I heard an analyst on TV recently say that our best hope is that his generals have eyes in their heads, see how things really are, and stage a military coup to take this loon out of commission, and then try to establish some sort of normalized relations with their neighbors and the U.S. As it stands right now, his people are starving and his coal shipments - which reportedly represent 40% of the NK economy - are being turned away by his main customer, China.

Seth Rogen and James Franco are on their way to Mar Lago, as we speak

On FOX News Sunday the second in command of intelligence was asked directly if we had anything to do with the failed missile launch in NK yesterday.

She said, "You know I can't discuss anything in the area of Secret intelligence, but it certainly was a big fizzle."

Bottom line is the only thing keep us from wiping NK off the map is China, NK has a million man army true, so do we, but we'd never need to step foot in the country..we could take out their infrastructure from afar and let them rot from within. Their Navy and Airforce is a joke..So all those foot soldiers are just more targets for us. They don't have ICMB capability....yet, so until they do, there is no way they could even retaliate. They would be literal fish in a barrel as they have no way of deploying..but as i said, China, while not even close to our strength as a military, are still much more formidable than NK...so until china has had it with fat boy and bailing him out and his boisterous rhetoric, we stand pat. But I think we still need to do what needs to be done to prevent further nuclear and icmb development regardless of cooperation with china or not...but I feel China is coming around on agreement on this...They just want peace and would rather do this politically. But at some point enough talk is done and some won't be persuaded. I think we're almost at this point. The more perceived successes fat boy has, the more confident he becomes that he can stand toe to toe.. he can't, but a fool never realizes until its too late. Just ask Hitler

Thing is Seoul is in such close proximity to NK that from what I understand it's within NK's conventional artillery range. Not to mention that there has always been talk and the occasional discovery of tunnels being built from NK to SK. The SK's stand to take the brunt of whatever military action NK takes.

Probably why we have a Carrier strike group in the area. Add that to bases already in Asia and we have to ability to control the sky and take out NK operations centers.

Trust that we have the skies on lockdown, nothing will be launched without us knowing about it, and SK is alot more prepared for this than the first go around. I was with USFK twice in my time, first time we had several hundred NK cross the DMZ, and another a handful which we fired warning shots at them...this has been a chess game for decades. But like I'm saying, Our targeted attacks would take out infrastructure and more than likely anything that could threaten SK. It would happen before they knew it was happening. But again, this is with China approval or agreeing to stay out of it.. until then, its all posturing

We just showed NK what happens if you try to play the "hide in tunnels" game... all it means is you are already buried.

I wouldn't think the MOAB would be a very likely option in NK because it has to be delivered by C130, which is a very large, slow, and non-maneuverable aircraft. I have to believe that the NKs have a great deal of anti-aircraft guns at the border and near strategic areas, and that big airship would be a sitting duck. It just happened to be the perfect weapon near the Afghan-Pak border.

It looks like it will take them until the 25th to get there since they're still 3000 miles away. But come to find out all the BS we heard earlier that they were on their way was just that, BS.

Really? They made a statement about it.

But I'd say if you find out nobody is out there off your coast, you'd probably be more inclined to laugh about the BS.

You're just finding more excuses for his continuing lies.

Here's another statement. From USA Today, April 9.

Quote:
Amid rising tensions with North Korea, an aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS Carl Vinson was heading toward the Korean Peninsula.

The aircraft carrier and its accompanying ships had been scheduled to leave from Singapore for port visits to Australia on Saturday, but Adm. Harry Harris, head of U.S. Pacific Command, ordered the strike group to head north toward Korean waters instead.

“U.S. Pacific Command ordered the Carl Vinson Strike Group north as a prudent measure to maintain readiness and presence in the Western Pacific,” Cmdr. Dave Benham said in a statement.

Now, Singapore to North Korea is some 3000 miles, and the ships were scheduled to be in/near Australia sometime soon, as well.

So, where were the ships when they were ordered to n. korea?

And, how fast does an aircraft carrier travel? I don't know.

Most aircraft carries have a top speed of just over 30 knots. My old carrier the USS Ranger used to cruise at 34 knots which is roughly 40 miles per hour.

Trump can't even tell the truth about some damn ships.

They were steaming toward a port of call in Australia when the story first broke. I recall seeing all the memes of "imagine all the angry sailors inside this tin can that just got hosed out of liberty ashore in AUS".

As for speeds - the carrier can outrun pretty much anything she is sailing with, but they move as a group, so whatever the max steaming speed is of the slowest ship is the speed they'd be doing. My ship, doing on average of 14 knots (our standard cruising speed, our flank speed was 21 knots theoretical... closer to 19 knots actual) took us almost 12 days to transit the Atlantic from the Norfolk area to Gibraltar.

They left Singapore on the 8th to steam north to Korean waters, but were first diverted back south of Singapore for Ops with the Australian Navy... however long those exercises took would determine when they finally departed for Korean waters. They are slated to arrive there toward the end of the month.

Not sure what the problem is ... i hope everything were hearing now is lies ... smoke and mirrors ... not sure why we want to let them know where we are ... makes no sense to me on any level ...

Make them track us ... the oceans not exactly a confined space ... and I'm not sure witch countries have the naval capability to track us ..... not exactly sure where China or NK will be able to pick us up ... is it 20 miles out .... 50 miles out .... 500 miles out .... not sure of the access points ....

I don't understand making the other sides job easier .... if we can use the press to try and deceive .... use it to your advantage ..... its just another tool in our belt ...... and right now .... Trump has decided on our direction and is starting to lay down the ground rules .... so lets get everyone guessing about as much as we can get them guessing about .... u know ... DON'T DO THERE JOBS FOR THEM ....

I don't understand announcing our ships movement to the world .... makes zero sense to me ...

I didn't know we were the enemy. It would have been very easy to say nothing at all rather than to lie.

Yea he should've just kept his mouth shut.

Let the military play the deception game. That's their jobs. The president shouldn't be trying to run interference.

And that's why it's so weird. He complained about obama announcing moves to the world, then he turns around and does the same?

Well, he also told Obama several times he should stay out of Syria in 2013 after Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. So there's that.

I agree ... he should have just kept his mouth shut ... having followed him since his escalator ride I learned a long long long time ago .... keeping his mouth shut is not an option about 93% of the time .... he simply can't .... the press hates him and he certainly helps them out on what seems like a weekly basis by giving them a gift ....

meh - the ocean is a big, big place and those are very small blips on the surface of it.

Besides, once a fleet hits port, you know where it is and you know when it leaves..... but, beyond that, unless you are tailing that float (which Russia does all the time), you won't know anything. Additionally, any nation with satellite capability knows every single movement as it happens - so, it's kinda moot.

The thing with our fleet is that this isn't WW2 - we can tell you where we are and where we are going and what we'll do when we get there -- and nobody can stand in our way. Yes, OPSEC still matters above all, but there is also political/diplomatic value in saying the kind of thing he said... and that is what the military is: it is the enforcement arm of American diplomatic policy. The Navy is the manner in which we project our power ashore around the globe.

When you end up with two crappy choices, the best you can do is vote for who you think is less crappy. I don't really see that as an endorsement.

But yeah, Hillary was the worst the Dems could do.
