quote above by lead:

".and they wonder attendance is as such"

I've thought about this often the last few years when the Indians were doing great.

Last year, for instance, the Indians had one of he worst home attendance in the majors - despite winning the AL crown.

Of course it doesn't help that the game yesterday and today were both sell-outs and the Indians fell behind in the first inning.

It sucks going to a game and not having much reason to cheer.

Allen should never pitch in any inning than the 9th

If I said Kluber pitched 7 innings with 0 Earned Runs and 13 K's, what would your guess be on the outcome?

Wrong-o!

Counting on Tomlin to end a losing streak is like:

Couple Tomlin's recent troubles with the fact that we are facing Indian-killer Ervin Santana today and it looks like a steep uphill to a win. Which is precisely why the Featherhead hitters are going to put up double-digit runs today and gobsmack the Twinkies. Because in baseball, to quote Joaquin Andujar, youneverknow.

pathetic series...I wouldn't blame anyone for not going to games when you score a whopping 2 runs in 3 games.. Tito better figure out what's going on, I think we def. need to be buyers for trades...I'd put anyone not named kluber, ramirez, lindor on the block . As bad as our starting pitching is you can't expect to go out and not score and expect miracles..a great 2 weeks totally erased in one series

Yep, Tribe goes into a 3 game home stand against the team that is chasing them, up 2.5 games with a chance to add some distance and scores 2 runs in 3 games...... Unbelievable.

You were at the game?!? Awesome! Didn't you say she was new to baseball? What a fantastic introduction!

Yep! I've got a quick stint in Ohio with her, then we're back in PA. I get to go to NYC with her and her family during the 4th, and then I'm back in NE Ohio towards the middle to the end of July.

We're going to try and make it to one more game.

You generally don't trade every day players at the trade deadline in baseball, you trade prospects.

Last night was fun to watch. I didn't hear but it has to be some kind of a record to score 15 runs without a homerun?

At the end of the 6th inning, the Tribe had 12 runs and ONE extra base hit.. a lead off double. That is some efficient hitting right there.

Coincidentally, the record does belong to the Cleveland Indians....

If you’re wondering, the record for most runs scored in a game without hitting a home run belongs to the 1923 Cleveland Indians, who defeated the Boston Red Sox 27-3 on July 7, 1923 at Dunn Field.

And those pesky Twins lost last night, so we're back in first.

Those fans in the stands were so richly rewarded.

man allen is inconsistent. Always count on him to blow it in non save situations

It feels like the Tribe suck this year.

And all our preseason arrogance is gonna be punished. (preseason arrogance - "The Tribe is a Lock this year!")

But there they are in first place.

Hey maybe the Tribe is a Lock.

I don't like game like two nights ago. Yeah we won with a great comeback and scored a lot of runs, but it's one game. I feel like those games set the team up to fail the rest of the series.

Last night we lose by one after only scoring one. Ugh.

We'll see about tonight.

We are only averaging 3.6 runs per game over the last 5 games... unfortunately we scored 15 in one game.. which is why we are 1-4.

Looks like another rough outing for Cody but we hold on for a 5-3 victory

Good morning!

Earliest Tribe start of the year today - 12:10 pm EST.

I’m gettin’ ready (us tax preparers, teachers, self-employed, third-shifters, vacationers and retirees get to do this)

Actually the first of 5 noon games this year.

One in July, one in August and two in September.

I love it that the next two are against west coast teams (well - Colorado and LA).

Especially when it’s the opener of a east coast road trip for them and their biological clocks are on 9 am and they’re eatin’ egg McMuffins in the dugout.

Lead, go to a SB blog called letsgotribe. Read up on their recent articles on Cody Allen and the rotation. They give great insight using sabremetrics.

read that article..mostly hogwash...except the part that says he creates the situations himself and he's the luckiest guy on earth...i mean he already has a pretty high probability of getting the save when you're only asked to get 3 outs with the lead, just simple odds, when he's asked to do more he normally gets drilled, I get why Tito swapped him with miller for awhile to rest miller, but he hasn't been good since then. I've never been high on allen, I think he loses command pretty easy, but he's gotten the job done for the most part and not even close to our biggest issue.

But I will say that I think our best closer could be Salazar, I'd love for him to be put in that role as a trial if he flounders when he gets back

Kluber is really close to being a lock for AL pitcher of the month, June 2017.

Last year he won it for August 2016. Salazar won it for June 2016.

The Tribe played 12:10pm EST games earlier this season on May 17th against TB, June 1st against OAK and June 15th against LAD.

As for today's game, another outstanding performance by Kluber. Five doubles today for the Tribe. Hammy said on the radio broadcast the Chisenhall had his 9th pinch hit RBI today.

Go Tribe.

Oh yeah!

You know what I was doing, for games on the schedule that were already played, I was looking at the time of the game. As in the length of the game - how long it took.

Funny, I didn't remember all those 3:07, 3:29, 3:17, 2:56, 3:14 start-times.

Every game played so far.

The column heading wasn't on the screen. But still.

I could have sworn there was a night game or two played so far.

You know who fell off the face of the planet was Cody Anderson.

I guess he's on the Indians' DL but I'm not sure. Last I heard he had elbow surgery in November 2016 and was expected to need 2 months to recover.

I guess he didn't recover. As far as I can tell, he's like done. But I'm not sure.

Anderson won the AL Pitcher of the month for September 2015.

The Indians rotation looked invincible going into 2016.

You know who really has surprised me this year, Lonnie, he took something that was a weakness(hitting lefties) and turned it into a strength this year, I love seeing homegrown talent pan out. I'm hoping Meija gets fast tracked, Catcher for me is still a glaring weakness, but if everyone else is hitting for average its ok because both are above average defensively. But I love a power hitting catcher, loved the days of vmart and alomar.

Cody Anderson had Tommy John surgery, and is recovering from that surgery now. It's only been 3 or 4 months.

He'll be back.

Long way for a pitcher from A to the bigs.

Heck, he could be used in a trade and never even see AA here.
