(2006 Fall, when Americans were hated)
Oh...
So that was the year.
I thought it was 2013. Or was it 1996? No, 2002. Maybe 1988?
Yes, it was right at the height of like Europe hating George Bush, lol. Of course, Donald Trump basically said "George, you think they don't like you? Hold my beer and watch this" lol.
But yeah, it was crappy. I was in college with a few foreign exchange student buddies and we weren't let into a bar because I was American. I mean, we were on a bus trip and were given like a couple hours in some random city overnight. I don't even know where I was (sadly, I've traveled enough that that's become a reality).
But yeah, you'd think, with WW1 and WW2 and dealing with their mess in Vietnam, they'd say, "Man, the United States really has straightened out our messes". But, no. Instead, Americans aren't allowed into the bar.
Well Montreal is close enough to France for me. I don't have too much interest in Europe anymore anyway. I guess I'd like to go to Italy, and maybe Barcelona. But besides that, I don't really care.
I'd like to see Asia. But Jordan is the big one for me right now. Check out the Middle East. The birthplace of civilization
EDIT: Although the French are one of the reasons we gained independence. Plus, they did give us the statue of liberty. But the statute of limitation on the Revolution thing has passed, and it was good for them too. As for the Statue of Liberty, we could have built a bigger and better one ourselves. Stick it Frenchies
