Oh...

So that was the year.

I thought it was 2013. Or was it 1996? No, 2002. Maybe 1988?

Yes, it was right at the height of like Europe hating George Bush, lol. Of course, Donald Trump basically said "George, you think they don't like you? Hold my beer and watch this" lol.

But yeah, it was crappy. I was in college with a few foreign exchange student buddies and we weren't let into a bar because I was American. I mean, we were on a bus trip and were given like a couple hours in some random city overnight. I don't even know where I was (sadly, I've traveled enough that that's become a reality).

But yeah, you'd think, with WW1 and WW2 and dealing with their mess in Vietnam, they'd say, "Man, the United States really has straightened out our messes". But, no. Instead, Americans aren't allowed into the bar.

Well Montreal is close enough to France for me. I don't have too much interest in Europe anymore anyway. I guess I'd like to go to Italy, and maybe Barcelona. But besides that, I don't really care.

I'd like to see Asia. But Jordan is the big one for me right now. Check out the Middle East. The birthplace of civilization

EDIT: Although the French are one of the reasons we gained independence. Plus, they did give us the statue of liberty. But the statute of limitation on the Revolution thing has passed, and it was good for them too. As for the Statue of Liberty, we could have built a bigger and better one ourselves. Stick it Frenchies

Peru and Vietnam are the two places at the top of my list for future destination. Vietnam being #1.

Have to go to England for Christmas to see my father-in-law who is turning 80 so, our money will go there this year, however.

A coworker just returned from Peru. Had a great time. Didn't have much time to discuss his adventures today but I will see photos and hear the low down soon. He did say Machu Pichu was everything he had invisioned it being and more. And apparently the hospital care was good and cheap. A kidney stone issue flaired up on a cotraveler. They spent 2 of their 14 days at, or around the hospital in Cusco.

Having had one this is a fear of mine. I have since become very aware of my water intake and try to drink 80-90 fluid ounces a day. I'm hopeful to never go through it again.

Yeah, my wife and I did a Gate 1 Tour that was over 9 days or something.

It was wonderful.

I purposely didn't do much research on the country so that I could surprise myself (figuring the tour guide will tell me the stuff i need to know), worked out wonderfully.

I went to Macchu Picchu not knowing what to expect, and it was quite a sight. But the rest of the country is pretty amazing too. Lima, Peru is nothing special. Although the area I stayed in, Mira Flores was nice and had a mall built into a cliff on the ocean.

But Cusco, Lake Titikaka, The High Plateau, the Sacred Valley, Macchu Pichu, all of it was amazing.

I was looking for something different, and I've seen a lot. Well this was different. It was just a wonderful experience.
