UCLA versus Texas A&M is about to start. It'll be interesting to see how Josh Rosen does after his injury and with a more pro style offensive coordinator (Jedd Fisch). Jaelan Phillips, #15, is a true freshman defensive end for UCLA and he is supposed to be a beast.
Should be fun.

They haven't had an offensive line in a decade and Jim Mora screwed around with the offense. He's probably going to get fired at the end of this season. Mora got a lottery ticket in Josh Rosen and he wasted it.

Hmmmm............I always kinda liked Mora, but I don't know a ton about him. Is he making bad choices at UCLA? Are the natives restless?

The Va Tech/W.VA game is pretty good.
Flipping back and forth between that and the Tex A&M/UCLA games.

Is he making bad choices at UCLA? Are the natives restless? The current Texas A&M offensive coordinator, Noel Mazzone, was forced at UCLA because Mora wanted a "pro style" offense (Mazzone was the coach that had UCLA winning with Brett Hundley). Last year UCLA had Kennedy Polamalu as their offensive coordinator, who had never called plays, he was fired at the end of the season. It's a mess. My guess is that most UCLA fans will want More fired at the end of the season.

Thanks.
Man, their OL is terrible.
Btw--------you are responding to me, but I tried to send you a PM about the Zeke Elliot situation, but it said you were ignoring me.
Strange.
Anyway........I encourage you to read the articles I posted. And I would like to hear your thoughts. I think it is a clear case of "framing" someone for public relations issues.
I think this story should "blow up." I'm not kidding. It's much bigger in my mind than the Brady thing or the Kap thing.
These people are almost certainly guilty of criminal acts.

Rosen went off in the 4th quarter. Damn impressive. Though his second to last TD was a 'hope throw'. Fading away, off his back foot, into traffic. His WR found the ball and went down for it. I'll say Rosen had enough arm to get it there but I won't say there wasn't a touch of luck mixed in.

The CB was in perfect position squared up to catch the ball and the ball went threw his hands and right into the WR's hands. Should have been an easy pick. It was fun to watch but there was quite a bit of luck in there.

Amazing performance. He put the team on his back. I turned the game off when they were down 34. Then my phone started blowing up and I knew something happened.

heck of a night last night ... both games were tense.
the UCLA comeback was incredible (and A and M's decline)

looks like Kevin Sumlin is already on the way out after last night. Here's what a member of their board said last night on his Facebook page. "I'm sure I may be criticized for this post," Buzbee began, "but I honestly don't care. I've been on the Board of Regents for the A&M System for almost seven years. During that time, I've not once commented on Kevin Sumlin and his performance during his tenure at our school. I never said a word when he and his agent manipulated a much bigger and longer contract. I said nothing about his arrogance and his mishandling of multiple player controversies. I said nothing when we had multiple awesome recruiting classes, only to see key players leave our school or underperform. "But tonight I am very disappointed and I have to say this. Kevin Sumlin was out-coached tonight, which isn't new. He recruits well, but can't coach the big games, or the close games. Our players were better tonight. Our players were more talented tonight. But our coaches were dominated on national TV, yet again. "I'm only one vote on the Board of Regents but when the time comes my vote will be that Kevin Sumlin needs to GO. In my view he should go now. We owe it to our school and our players. We can do better." https://www.cbssports.com/college-footba...-ucla-comeback/

I agree... If your offense gets consistent then I think UM could have a big year
Man what a let down by A&M last night... defense just died and some horrible play calling on offense in the second half
Looking forward to the game tonight... Brother in law is a big UT fan...

Buckeyes host the Terps October 7th. Great to see a quality Big 10 win. I like the Longhorns though. I hate to see it come at their expense. Texas has had losing seasons in 2014 2015 and 2016 ??? You hittin' the wine early PastorMarc? That's OK. But nonsensical posts aren't. There's nothing wrong with liking teams with losing records. I'm glad you're not the Pastor of my church. All I was saying was Maryland may not be as good as they appear ... Sheesh Maryland is improved. It will be interesting now that they lost their QB for the year but the freshman who will take over is highly touted, so we will see. He looked pretty calm for coming into that situation in Texas.... Texas scored 41 points but they had an INT for a TD, a blocked FG for a TD, and a punt return for a TD, there offense was ineffective in scoring points. They moved the ball but kept shooting themselves in the foot when they had chances to score. And Maryland's defense is a lot better than it was the last couple years. That said, Texas at #23 was a joke. That team hasn't been over .500 in 3 years.. but they brought in a new coach so let's put them in the top 25. I think that is just wishful thinking on the part of the predictors because they want the big name schools to be good, even if they aren't. Better ratings, more clicks if you put Texas in the Top 25 than most other schools. Big 10 Conference looks pretty good though, there should be a nice battle for the top 3 to 4 spots (OSU, PSU, Michigan, maybe Wisconsin), then a heck of a battle to see who can stay at the top of that middle tier.. that's what I'm hoping for the Terps. The Alabama vs Florida State game was underwhelming.. good defensive effort by both teams, Florida State's special teams coach should have to run laps or give back half his paycheck or something.. Way too many mistakes.

They have to play Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Penn State.. if they could somehow manage to pull off just one upset over any of those teams I would be ecstatic.. Heck, if they could not lose those games by 50 like they did last year it would be an improvement.

Some thoughts on games I watched:
--Penn St is very, very good. They are fast and strong. Barkley is a beast. Athletic qb. A couple of those guys on D, #s 2 and 4 are freaking awesome. I'm worried about them.
--TUN is faster on D this year, but QB looks shaky. The end of the first half was a cluster.....by both head coaches.
--Lamar Jackson was amazing! I can't believe how much more accurate he has become as a passer. He's good.
--TCU's fast. Glad to see the fat, big mouth Bienemy got drilled for Arkansas.
--The Iowa/Iowa St was very exciting. Props out to Matt Campbell.

OU with 5 trips into the OSU side of the field, scoring only 3 points, doesn't bode well for their intension to win this one either.

I came in here tonight just to complain about the OSU offense, but not long ago when I was reading the board, I thought.....Tulsa hasn't posted for a while. I knew you had posted about having some health issues and I was a worried. Happy to see you posting.....even though you are the enemy for the moment!

USC's running back is very fast. That was a very impressive win by USC. Having a running game and a defense to go along with Darnold is making USC look like a very scary team.
