That sounds like an insult, sir.
I could add names to the list, too...........as long as we wanna be sarcastic.
How about Paul Hubbard. The next great savior. LOL
Things work both ways. Please don't suspend me for that.

I think he's talking about Josh Lenz. That's the guy. Did he ever make it back into football?

What point is there to this madness? The original point, by YTown, was that Leslie has not signed with a team yet and cutting him will likely not be a mistake. Hence the Josh Lenz comparison.

And..............???? Are you guys really making fun of people who praised Lentz? Seriously? I get that you have "numbers" on here, but the positive posters who defend the organization constantly are far more deserving of criticism than those who supported guys like Lentz.

Carlton Mitchell is the only true savior of the Browns. However, we turned our backs on him.

Well the practice squad is full up now...we got two roster spots still to fill I think??? We don't need another QB but I'm wondering if we move up the kid Nacua from our practice squad to replace Prior.
We just brought in 3 WRs that we felt were better than the ones we cut: Payton, Hall (my favorite) and Leslie. Think we are looking for something special high reward types. Great speed Davis who maybe after an off season with our trainers will get bigger. Williams, big strong and gets the ball. Coates when he is on he is very good. All upside.
Good analogy on Lentz similar to Leslie...after it is all said and done its not the reason we were not good.
Everybody must post the way Vers says you have to...lol unbelievable.

I'm wondering if we move up the kid Nacua from our practice squad to replace Prior. Nacua really hasn't impressed me. He just always seems to be late to the play. Very blah, backup type player. I don't think he's going to develop into the next Tashaun Gipson or Mike Adams or anything. Ed Reynolds and that other guy were better in preseason IMO. Maybe as he learns the NFL and defense more, he'll start playing faster. I just wasn't seeing it with him. Probably the weakest backup on the team I think

Nacua stunk in preseason. Gotta wonder what all those people who were expecting big things outta him were thinking. I think reports were that he was slow, then people pointed at 40 times (I think). Truth is, you can be a track star, but that doesn't necessarily mean you're a fast football player. Nacua is slow. There's gotta be someone out there better than him to backup our safeties. Ibraheim Campbell I guess would be our primary backup (and he's better than Nacua), but there's gotta be someone else out there

I forget the guy's name, but he jumped up the positional charts during camp, got hurt, and we released him. Do you remember his name?
That kid impressed me more than any of them in the short time we were able to watch him.

I was not critiquing his play but just stating the fact that he is on our practice squad. And probably would contribute about as much as Prior which would be on Special Teams.
One thing I really like is how much Kindred has improved over a year ago.
I'm sure there is somebody on that released list that can fill the spot. Just he would need time to learn the D.

There's a guy named Justin Currie on the depth chart from early August......... I think he's the one I'm referring to. We'd be better with him

My guess is Hue or Sashi liked him and he was brought in for the week to work him out and see if he was worth developing. If they like what they saw then he will probably be put on the practice squad.

I watched the first three preseason games. Didn't bother watching the fourth. I don't care what the stats say, Nacua was late on every play. That's what I saw. A guy who simply was too slow out there

Yeah, Justin Currie is the guy I was thinking of. He was an undrafted FA who shot up the depth chart. He looked good in the preseason and I remember writing about him in a Postgame Thoughts thread.
He hurt his ankle right after that and was later released.
I also agree w/you about Nacua. He was always late to the ball. I have no idea how PFF came up w/that ranking and I've often wondered how they evaluate coverages. If a guy is late to the party, is he given a pass because he is so far away from the receiver? I don't know. But, Nacua looked consistently late when I saw him.
Currie was just the opposite. It's a shame he got hurt. I think he would have made the team.

This is what happens when you depend upon stats to try to form an opinion.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I can't find any news on the transaction, but the Browns have signed CB C.J. Smith (5'11" 189 lbs 2nd year) to the PS. He was released from the Eagles PS on 9/12.

The Cleveland Browns have placed WR Corey Coleman on injured reserve (hand).* In addition, the team signed DL Tyrone Holmes and WR Jordan Leslie to the practice squad and released DB Najee Murray and DB Channing Stribling from the practice squad. Coleman started both games this season and recorded six receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown. He sustained a fracture in his hand during the fourth quarter at Baltimore. Holmes appeared in the team’s season opener as a reserve and saw action in 11 games with the Browns in 2016. Leslie led the club this preseason with two receiving touchdowns and added nine receptions for 93 yards. He spent time on the Browns’ practice squad last season. Both players’ full bios can be found in the 2017 Cleveland Browns media guide. *Each team can designate two players to return from injured reserve. Designation does not need to be made until that player is able to return to practice. A player placed on injured reserve is eligible to return to practice in six weeks and must miss a minimum of eight weeks. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/arti...c8-90622063f0be
