of course Reagan would be elected in today's GOP.

he believed in trickle down economics and lowered taxes that screwed up the economy.

thats part of the introduction manual in how to GOP properly.

So we haven't had a good economy since Reagan?

i never implied that. however, it depends on what you consider 'good'.

Well the top marginal tax rate has been tweaked up and down since Reagan but has never gotten close to what it was before him.. so we have had trickle down economics for over 30 years..

speaking about that,

that's funny. Trump talking tough about mostly black players while in his safety bubble surrounded by a sea of white people.

funny, he went after the CEO that left the board after charlottesville.

black.

went after steph curry for not wanting to go the WH.

black.

going after the nfl players that kneel.

black.

even though other white people also claimed he was a white supremacist, he decided to only target jemele hill.

black.

yet won't blast his white homeboys who own the nfl teams after they issued statements. didn't say much of anything when those white CEO's also left the council. won't blast the white owner of the warriors for the WH snub.

message sent loud and clear, trump supporters.

i feel bad for puerto rico.

they aren't getting nearly the same attention as GOP states Florida and Texas, yet they are american citizens.

sad how conservatives treat minorities, yet we're "equals" according to them. smh.

One of your dumber posts.

You don't think his NFL owner buddies aren't sweating losing advertisers and audience over this?

You don't see the white players kneeling too?

You don't think the CEO of the Charlottesville Board was responsible for setting up the protests to turn into fights?

You didn't notice that Steph Curry acted like he was honoring the White House instead of it honoring him?

the nfl owners were aware of that BEFORE whatever trump said.

and yet they STILL issued a statement in support of their players.

did you not where i said "mostly black" i saw white players kneeling too and i commend them, but trump is clearly going after black people, as i pointed out.

you didn't refute anything i said. that makes your post the dumber one.

but that's a common theme around here. i come here with straight facts, and nobody is refuting them.

Trump is a draft dodger. you actively support a disgrace to the country in the oval office. stop talking to me.

Yea, you really expect the owners to go against their players so they are ticked off and lose the rest of their games?

he's done plenty alright. he's empowered white nationalist to come out of hiding.

congrats, if you're into that sort of thing.

Nike, an NFL sponsor, takes clear side in Trump vs NFL

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nike-becomes-first-nfl-sponsor-take-side-trump-vs-nfl-193639102.html

wow. once again we have shady ass corporations showing more leadership than our POTUS on heated social issues.

sad, very sad.

Bull! He has allowed them to continue to rob our 7-11's and shoot up the DC streets at night like they enjoy doing.

He has not impeded their game of shooting everything that moves in downtown Chicago.

He didn't have Sammy Sosa arrested for trying to pass.

Its not really leadership when you have black athletes as your spokes people, and you make billions off them.

Its just common sense business practice.

rather have them robbing 7-11's than the white people molesting kids and having sex with students.

sure it is. it's absolutely a form of leadership. Nike is not just a major sponsor here in America but around the world.

they *typically* don't take strong stances in one direction, or in direct support of something. typically business try to remain as neutral as possible. it says something that they were willing to completely take a side on this issue, knowing that the same people who said they weren't gonna watch the nfl anymore also will probably *claim* they will stop buying merchandise. they knew they would likely take a hit in profit, and still issued the statement.

I will educate you on something I bet you didn't know...

You ever see those jets flying thru the sky leaving that white mist behind them?

Well that is a secret plan, hatched by the KKK and all 57 American Nazi's to spray Sammy Sosa lightening cream in the air.

They developed that plan in the time it took to tap a keg.

Soon, we will have no race problems.

great, so now us minorities will have to act like white people and spend all day in the tanning salon trying to change their skin tone from pasty to not so pasty.

anyways, i think Trump is just trying to distract the masses because the new GOP bill is about to tank.

he's been taking L's left and right as far as actual policy goes.

That didn't help at all. It was just stuff to say to keep a verbal tennis match alive.

That's not a real conversation. I'm here for something better than you seem willing (or able) to provide. So... later, tater.

Well I guess I wouldn't mind if the players all gathered together and took a knee after the game, in the middle of the field to protest their cause of the day.

The Press could cover it.

Perhaps they could march together after the season in their home cities.

Perhaps they could buy airtime to speak on TV.

What they are doing now don't fly.

why? they are only doing what worked for Trump. do something that brings attention, and don't have to pay for advertising.

One thing I really like about Trump is that he doesn't back down.

When you say or do something controversial-- and apparently standing for the National Anthem on the Squealers in 2017 is controversial-- then have some damn conviction and stand by it. Otherwise when you backtrack and apologize, the people who you are really throwing under the bus are the ones who took up and defended you.

Say what you believe in and then stand by it, or just stick with safe cliches. Both are preferable to saying or doing what you believe in and then cowering into an insincere apology.
