Oh, the days of abuse. Not betterment for all. Probably believe the treacle down stuff too.

Sad days here. I cannot rejoice in these priorities like you do. I think things are lousy. Maybe if I played more golf, if I could afford to blow our money on that. Sorry. No sale.

I believe I'm on record here, probably multiple times, that spending is the main issue. Spending is too high.

Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to veto spending.

And, sadly, there isn't a politician around that would get elected if he/she promised to cut spending.

It's the world we live in. Politicians want their gov't. jobs to get the pay, and the benefits. To get the job, they promise.

As long as they're running our country into the ground, I may as well keep as much of my money as possible, don't you think?

you actually did vote for increase spending. you were aware (should've been anyway) of the track record of politicians in federal government increasing spending, and you voted for them anyway.

but regardless, nobody can tell others how to vote, we can only suggest a certain way that won't screw everyone over in the process.

cutting social programs while increasing military spending is common amongst totalitarian governments and nations stuck in a military industrial complex.

you keep thinking you're gonna keep your money, but if the country goes to crap, the money you keep won't be worth a damn anyway due to inflation and other factors. then you'll be using said money to burn for a fire at night since the lights got cut off.

but overall, it shows that the national debt wasn't REALLY a big deal in the first place with a certain demographic.

the direction of this country needs to change. and right now, the people in country, and specifically the party in control, isn't leading us in the right direction, especially with yet another soon-to-be failure which is a trickle down economic plan.

the difference is you don't really see me complaining about spending overall. people in your ideology do it all the time, but then whine about the spending increase even though you knew damn well it was gonna happen.

that's like marrying a prostitute, then getting upset when you catch her with a dude in some back alley. you knew what was gonna happen, but you decided to go that route anyway.

because every single time i start defending my position, people like you always think i'm angry or in a bad mood.

and combined with the fact that you guys NEVER say that about anyone else, it makes it hard not to go there.

and that's a common issue in America, btw. society in america like to portray minorities, specifically AA's, as angry black men or women when we bring up certain issues.

maybe it's because you're not up on social dynamics in this country. you're not up on a lot of things so i guess i need to give you a pass.

I'm "not up on a lot of things"?

Ok.

You're not an angry minority. (and I never said that anyway)

Quit using "you guys". You distinguish yourself and your position.

i always distinguish myself, that's why i said I a lot. when i say "you guys" it's because you aren't close to being the only person who has said something like that.

'guys' is plural. ya know, as in more than one.

EU cash grab is a huge boost to Trump's tax-reform effort

-In the same day, the EU is demanding that Amazon pay Luxembourg $300 million in back taxes and that Ireland grab $15.3 billion in taxes from Apple.
-This daily double tax whammy is inadvertently making a great argument for Trump's call for 20 percent corporate tax rates here in the U.S.
-It's time for the Trump team and the congressional GOP to use today's news as a rallying call for their plan.

Those companies have lawyers that will tie this up for years in court. No way they pay all of that. They don't live by the same rules that we do! lol

I hope Trump can entice businesses to relocate in the states and bring jobs, good jobs! I just don't think dropping his pants in tax legislation will do the job. Personally I think if we could roll the living standard back 40 years, where it only took one income for working families to live we'd all be the better for it. But nothing Trump has done so far say to me he is the guy to get that done. Nothing.

I agree, I don't think its wages that are the problem, I think its the cost of living more so. A vehicle back then cost 8K now 20K. Gas, milk, food, heck going to the movies cost you 100 bucks for 4 people. FIX THIS and everything else goes into place.

Back then people didn't have a cable bill, a cell phone bill, a internet bill. They didn't go out to eat all the time, they packed lunch instead of buying lunches. They cut coupons. They didn't blow 5.25 per day on a Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino at Starbucks.

Where's the plan details? What are the tax brackets? I'm certainly not going to rally for a vague Trump tax plan. Not from a guy that has filed bankruptcy 6 times and doesn't presently pay federal income taxes. Sorry I don't have much faith in it. IMO The middle class is going to get bent over with this plan.

House passes budget, the first concrete step toward tax reform

-The Republican-controlled House passed a budget resolution on Thursday.
-The close vote was 219 Yeas to 206 Nays, with more than a dozen Republicans voting against the budget.
-The House vote was the first concrete step toward enacting major tax reform later this year.

You like saying that about everything Trumps does. Except you want answers now on the russia investigation. You know, it takes time and it's "step by step by step..."

Anyway, can anyone explain to me how you make a new tax plan when you don't even have a clue what the new healthcare plan will entail.

I understand your point, but people don't do that today and still struggle.

Daycare - cheapest in my area 1,000 / month
ave car payment for 2 cars - 600/month
gas for cars a month - 200-300
groceries - 400/month
mortgage 1000-1500
then you tax all that crap (which is money you already been taxed on to work, see how that double dipping the gubment does)

Inflation only goes up because WE make it go up. when I say WE I mean the gubment.

The house passed GOP healthcare too... Let me know when you have 60 senate votes, then I will bother to look.

Looks like we are figuring out how this is going to get paid for

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/10/04/democrats-respond-senate-budget-medicare-243436

Senate Republicans are proposing to slash Medicare spending by $473 billion over a decade, once again diverging from one of President Donald Trump’s key campaign promises, according to Democrats on the Senate Budget Committee.

The panel’s minority party staff, led by Sen. Bernie Sanders, published the figure in a five-page report, obtained by POLITICO.

Although the cuts would occur under the fiscal 2018 budget resolution Senate Republicans unveiled last week, the details are not outlined in any public documents the GOP has released so far.

The Republican plan would slash $5.071 trillion from domestic programs over a decade, but it provides almost no detail on what accounts would be targeted.

Democrats have warned that the GOP would largely cut from safety net programs, which make up a large share of mandatory spending.

Sanders and other liberal senators have seized on the proposed cuts, in part because Republicans plan to use the budget document to lower corporate tax rates.

Democrats say the GOP’s budget resolution would also include $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, another figure not specifically included in the Republican budget outline.

About $660 billion would come from discretionary programs, while the vast majority would come from mandatory programs, which could include housing aid, Medicaid or food stamps.

Democrats have predicted potential cuts under the Republican proposal by estimating the reductions proportionally. That could mean a $100 billion cut to Pell Grants, $37 billion to Section 8 housing assistance and $37 billion to the National Institutes of Health.

The Senate Budget Committee will begin marking up the budget resolution Wednesday afternoon.

slash programs to keep people alive, buff programs to continue killing people.

cut taxes for the wealthy who don't need it, give the rest of the scraps to the peons to fight over.

pretty much every gop tax policy.
