I think it is more likely that we offered something last year, but that SF kept at it this year and we did not.
Whatever the reason it comes back to gross negligence on the FO part.
I do not trust them having another draft.

I seriously doubt that BB would take less compensation to make JG happy.
I agree.BB will do what's best for the team and taking a lesser offer to please a player doesn't seem like it's in his personality.
I mean he's considered one of the best head coaches of all time for a reason.

I don't think there could be any other explanation when we previously offered a first round pick and he gets traded instead of a 2nd round pick.

Shanahan made it public he wanted JG when he was with us. That said, I thought they would aggressively go after Cousins. SF's season just got interesting and pretty much guarantees we will have the #1.
