His comment about Moore vs. Franken... You can't even compare the two! Franken had one accuser, an adult BTW, he apologized publicly TWICE and she accepted his apology. She also said she didn't want him to resign or step down over this! What Franken did was wrong, but you can't be more upset than the victim.

Moore has 9 accusers by my last count and denies all of their accusations while hiding behind religion! How disgusting is that! All of his accusers were teenage girls at the time he harassed them. 40 talks about 'proven guilty' knowing these women will never get their day in court due to statute of limitations. So it doesn't matter to him if it's 9 or 90 accusers, as long as a republican butt is in that Senate seat! Pedophilia be damned!

that is an absolute failure from the bottom up. we as americans can not complain about corrupt politicians when we refuse to hold their feet to the fire to begin with. the people of alabama literally enabled this guy his entire life/career because he knew he could get away with it.

and so now at MOST, he might lose the senate race. he's lived a full life and a great career while scarring so many others for the rest of their lives.

I am not as educated on these situations as you guys are, but from what I have read, both these creeps need to go.

Some in Alabama are actively defending him.

Career state politicians.
Church leaders.
Long-time rank-and-file voters.

Some have actively chosen to completely re-frame the issue- ignoring the nature of the allegations, the number/volume of claims, and scores of corroborating witnesses... and turning it into 'an attack on Good by the minions of Evil.'

This is how far they are willing to twist things.

Then, there's another faction who are saying: "I'll hold my nose and vote for him, because the alternative is electing a Democrat."


But the bottom line is this: Local cops (who knew everyone in this smallish community) banned him from a local shopping mall when he was a 30 year-old assistant D.A. because of his reputation of approaching and propositioning 8th, 9th & 10th grade girls. A man in his 30's.

Let that land- and marinate for a moment.

He: 30.
She: 14.


8th grade girls.
10th grade girls.


This is what we've become.

By the way, his most ardent supporters are Alabama's evangelical community. That's just how crazy this whole thing is.

Folks who believe The Bible to be the direct, unfiltered Word of God... are rushing to the defense of a person who chooses to use a public shopping mall as his hunting grounds for sexual encounters with under-age daughters of his neighbors.

I am appalled--but not surprised--that people are defending Moore and Franklin because of their political affiliations.

It's just more evidence why I am on an island w/family members, some friends, and other acquaintances that refuse to participate in such extremist ideologies.

Pastor supporting Moore: 'More women are sexual predators than men'

A pastor who supports Senate candidate Roy Moore (R) blasted the allegations of sexual harassment against Moore, saying they’re part of a “war on men.”

"More women are sexual predators than men," Pastor Franklin Raddish of Independent Baptist Ministries, a nationwide church, told AL.com. "Women are chasing young boys up and down the road, but we don't hear about that because it's not PC."

The news organization spoke to Raddish as part of an effort to speak with every pastor that endorsed Moore before the allegations against him were made public. Nineteen of the 29 pastors who responded told AL.com they were still supporting Moore.
Dozens of other Alabama pastors signed on to a letter released Friday calling Moore unfit for office and accusing him of preaching “extremist values” while comparing him to politicians who have “cynically used Christianity for their own goals.”

The letter also takes aim at Moore for the sexual misconduct allegations against him, saying his actions serve to "reopen the wounds of anyone who has been abused by leaders who should have been committed to compassion, to justice, and to healing God's world."

Multiple women have accused Moore of sexual misconduct in recent weeks, including one woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 16 and another who said Moore initiated a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 and he was in his 30s.

Moore has repeatedly denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated, and has resisted calls for him to drop out of the race from multiple prominent Republicans.

Kellyanne Conway suggested Monday that Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore’s potential to help pass the GOP’s tax bill outweighs the mounting child molestation accusations against him &#8213; a stance that represents a major shift from comments she made last week on the matter.

“Whatever the facts end up being, the premise, of course, the principle, the incontrovertible principle, is that there is no Senate seat worth more than a child,” the White House counselor told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday in response to allegations that Moore sexually molested teen girls when he was in his 30s.

But on Monday, Conway seemed all but ready to throw Moore’s accusers under the bus in exchange for the candidate’s potential to help pass the GOP’s tax bill.

“So vote Roy Moore?” asked “Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade after Conway bashed Doug Jones, Moore’s Democratic opponent in the race.

“I’m telling you that we want the votes in the Senate to get this tax bill through,” Conway responded.

Conway also suggested that “the media” isn’t truly concerned about sexual abuse allegations, noting that Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) “still has his job” after being accused last week of forcibly kissing and groping a woman in 2006. Franken issued an apology.

Moore has denied all allegations that he sexually harassed or assaulted teenage girls when he was in his 30s. The Republican National Committee and high-ranking GOP lawmakers have ditched their support for him, but Moore has refused to drop out of the race.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) have called on Moore to drop out of the race. President Donald Trump has remained noticeably silent on the matter, despite slamming Franken just hours after news broke of sexual assault allegations.

Conway hesitated on Monday when the Fox hosts pointed out Moore’s rapid decline in support, specifically from women.

“Right,” Conway said. “And you know what? I just want everybody to know Doug Jones &#8213; nobody ever says his name and pretends he is some kind of conservative Democrat in Alabama. And he’s not.”
