We all know that Hue is the one who made that throw.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

At about 300 PSI!

The misses are maddening because he has already locked down. Hue could pick some routes over the middle and TE delays and such. Kizer makes those sometimes. Might as well try it. Waiting is always worse. Let Duke throw a few.

I think it's both. But I'd rather have Crow run in the red zone than Kizer throw.

I also really think they need to have Duke and Crow on the field more, especially with Duke as a WR. The defense just doesn't know what to do on that play. Duke is such a good offensive weapon, someone who can play the 'Percy Harvin' position in the NFL.

You mean throwing it at his feet isn't the proper placement for that pass?

He shoulda' Weeden-flipped it to him.

I wonder if it was maybe a timing issue, he looked like he turned, stepped, and threw, like he was throwing to a spot. But should have been an easy throw.

Who could have seen this coming?

Quote:
The same-day decision to fire Sashi Brown and hire John Dorsey sparked a sense that the Browns are finally moving in the right direction. Everything that has happened since there hasn’t.

Apart from comments from Dorsey that undercut the notion that Jackson is safe, there’s a concern that Jackson has lost the team.

As one source explains it, it came to a head with Jackson’s comments about running back Isaiah Crowell‘s 59-yard run in the team’s most recent loss. Jackson credited the gaping nature of the hole for the gain, and he said that inspired running comes from breaking tackles.

Crowell has been inspired to “like” various tweets taking up for him in this back and forth with Jackson (and taking shots at Jackson), contributing to the perception that players are done with Hue. There are also rumblings about friction between defensive players and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and his son, Blake, the team’s linebackers coach.

Losing tends to contribute to the frustration that leads to dysfunction. The question becomes whether the Browns can pull it together for 60 minutes on Sunday, in order to score their first win in exactly 365 days.

Regardless of how it turns out, there’s a lingering sense that G.M. John Dorsey will lobby ownership for the ability to hire his own coach. The mounting losses and the internal strife won’t hurt Dorsey’s cause.

Anything is better than Haslam. After the Tennessee coaching search it's pretty obvious how we ended up with Chud being fired after one year, Pettine, and Jackson.

Completely forgot about the Haslam aspect. So we're going to pick a HC who can be bullied by the GM, but can still entertain the owner with football platitudes. I bet Todd Haley will be our next head coach frown

Jackson needs to be fired immediately as he is one of the most incompetent offensive coordinators\coaches I've ever seen. Clear indictments and issues that warrant firing.

1. What is his record, like 1-29? That should be cause for firing alone.

2. Handling of the QB situation. He has completely ruined Kizer's confidence with whatever he's done.

3. Offensive gameplan and strategy is god awful. We never run the ball and I am convinced Jackson is against the whole philosophy of actually running the football. I have no idea what we're trying to establish or accomplish on offense. NO TEAM IDENTITY AT ALL. You don't have to have players right away for this either. It is a mind set that you adapt and draft towards. IMO we have absolutely no identity and its annoying.

4. Offensive sets are stupid. No I formation, no fullback blocking on runs which angers me. No twin sets. Wouldn't that be quite a switch to see Crowell and Duke in the backfield at the same time. Maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong if this has happened and I didn't see it. Jackson knows he is allowed to line up like that right? How about a freaking bootleg or rollout play? Has this guy ever heard of the running\ball control offense? Why hasn't Matthew Dayes played at all?

5. The play calling is way too advanced and does NOT adapt to the player strengths. I think our offensive philosophy flat out sucks and seems to be too complex for its own good. Perfect examples of this would be passing it on 3rd and short and having it intercepted.

6. Bottom line, the guy is not putting his players in the best positions to succeed. This is what any manager is supposed to do and this man is bad at it.

7. Recently Jackson's answers at his press conferences have pissed me off. I don't like his general light hearted attitude to everything and laughing. Dude, look at your record, realize how frustrated the fans are. Just stop.

Man I'm glad someone on here understands what I'm talking about. I mean, you have to be a "Basket Case" to want to keep Hue as head coach. Com on man!!

Really thats what you see there?
Its a simple pass any HS QB can make to their RB in a quick swing pass...he throws it where the HS would right in his hands we got a shot at a TD on that play...there isn't a guy within 5 yards of Duke and he has a track record of being near the goal line with loads of space.

Sometimes I got to wonder cause you are so anti Hue right now you see the wrong play call. I see a play that a HS QB can complete and possibly score. You tell me what the problem is??? oh right the play called smh crazy

1. The obvious, these games are not ones that we have to win to get in the post season.

2. When we pass we got guys open and not just one we usually catch teams playing against the run.

3. Possibly he wants to make sure Dorsey knows for a FACT 100%
FACT that Kizer is not THE GUY.

Do you blame him? He was saddled with Kizer this year because of the last BMIC.

4. If the players were giving up on Hue I'd actually switch my tune on keeping him...but the fact is the players here (not the ones we got rid of) want to play for him.

5. If we get rid of him...JT probably does not come back.
Cause its another overhaul.

6. If we get rid of him...we have no chance of signing FA's with all that Cap room. Hue gets them wanting to play for us.

7. We got so many young kids but they have known no other offense but Hues...I want to see us go into year 3 and some repetition!

8. He actually is a good teacher for the QB. As bad as Kizer is he is playing so much better than he was in the beginning.

I want him here with our REAL FRANCHISE PROSPECT.

Jumping ship now is not the right thing to do...we are closer than you think!

jmho

I started like I usually do from the deginning and this post hit me from my oooooold friend Tabber.

I actually agree with much of what you said and will agree as well with Bone.

I think Hue was saddled with poor FO help on some levels and the FACT that they passed on 2 pretty good prospects at the position we have needed to fill for far to long, QB of course.

I agree Hue needs to stay, that I am 100% sure of no matter what he needs to stay.

Its not that I think Hue is perfect, however he brings continuity and we need that as much as we need a franchise QB.

I think that Hue has and continues to focus on execution from the QB and WR's/TE's. While I believe in a perfect game plan you stick with the run when it works and most times when it doesn't as well.

Having said that we aren't and weren't going anywhere this season, and Kiser needs the reps executing the offense in differing scenarios; so do you hold off on developing him in favor of perhaps winning a game by running and running and running?

I sure don't think I have the answer to that question, but perhaps/maybe that is why we all (hand raised) become frustrated with Hue not running more especially when its working, right?

I keep going back to the pre season when he ran I think 3-4 screen plays in a row, which was a head scratcher for me at the time. Then it sort of hit me he was focusing on execution and not so much on play calling. I think its his way of developing the offense. I could be wrong here I will allow that ???

That said I think Hue has totally focused on developing Kiser and his WR/TE's giving them every possible opportunity to execute and having failed to hopefully learn ??? Remember we weren't going anywhere this season, that in my mind shifts the focus to developing and shaking out the players and non players. (evaluate)

At the end of the day I hope we keep Hue although its hard to build a case for a coach with his record thats for sure. Perhaps my faith is misplaced I sure don't feel as strongly about Hue as I did Mangini but I think I understand Hue's approach and I think its the correct approach. But that has to be proven right??

Actually if you read my post, my problem isn't with the play called, it is that the play doesn't have an option on it. That's a simple concept to install and makes the play 30x more dangerous. Instead it's a gimmick play action play that's outside Kizer's skill level 😭😭

That's Hue's legacy. It can continue into next year, when they start 0-14 again.

Just think of this.

The Browns started in 1946, and in a horrible turn of events in 1995 had to Re-start as an expansion team in 99.

And in all the years until 2014, the team never failed to win at least 2 games a year, Until Hue Jackson arrived, no matter what the other circumstances were.

Kizer didn't lose Any games for the Browns in 2015, the 1-15 year, and now that Sashi is gone,
the Defensive coordinator has changed,

Going forward, the only Main character in this tragedy that will have been here for "all" of the losing will be Hue.

So, IF!!! < and that may be the biggest "if" ever,

You stick with Hue, and find yourself in this same position next year, and get all that you want,
with the same results,

Then you can feel better again by saying

" We weren't going anywhere this season" at this time next year.

I know. It's crazy that Sashi Brown picked all these high character players that are willing to play hard even though their coach disparages them in the media every chance he gets.

I just love hue's justification for abandoning the run. We ran that play again and t was for minus two. Sorry hue but u ran it twice more with crow for 3 n 4 yards.

Five of us could run through that hole. Just belittle your running back why don't you. Why go there?

Just sick of this jackass.

A few things, I'm not sure if Dorsey is the boss as the GM. At least I hope not. A boss can still be a bully if they use the tactics of a bully. And most companies work better when the employees work with the boss instead of for him. Especially when the boss oversees a separate sphere. Finding talent and cultivating talent are two different fields entirely.

I’ve tried to see the argument for keeping Hue, I’ve really tried, but if the only reason is continuity then he should go. That seems to be the only argument I’ve read on here. He definitely hasn’t shown to be a good manager of players, media, or anything really. He can’t seem to gameplan well enough to win a game. He doesn’t look like the QB guru people have said he is. So what exactly has he done to deserve to keep his job? I mean really, he’s won A GAME, ONE SOLITARY GAME, I’m not sure if any other coach could have been this bad. Even with a suspect roster. Good coaches find a way. Hue has not.

Which is why it doesn't work with the Browns. Jimmy Haslam is the person you are talking about.

Oh I understand that Haslam is the problem. I just don't believe that what's stated to the fans is what really goes on behind closed doors.

Maybe not anymore, but pre-John Dorsey I think it was pretty clear three different people had Haslam's ear.

I don't think Dorsey will be a bully if he selects his own HC. But the dude just lost a highly publicized fight between Andy Reid. One where it was leaked that he drafted Kevin Hogan and paid Eric Fischer rather randomly and without consulting others. Then he dragged his feet on extending Houston and Eric Berry. These aren't exactly the signs of someone who works well with others. Also most head coaches want to have a significant amount of power on their team. Will Dorsey allow this? I have a lot of doubts.

Personally, I didn't like Sashi. He had good drafts, but that's not hard when you have 35 picks. He was horrible at roster retention, but not worse than Farmer. I also kinda like Hue, but wished he bounced more ideas off of his offensive staff and told Gregg Williams that the defense needs to make QBs like Brissett, Hundley and Trubisky beat us with the long ball. Also, I realize that Hue's days are number and I'd be more upset if the Browns fired him midseason than anything. Could you imagine if Pep Hamilton or Greggggg Williams was our interim head coach? I'd rather trade the 1st pick in the draft for Terry Robiskie to be our interim HC.

Pep Hamilton works for the University of Michigan, but your point is well received.

Hue Jackson would be a lame duck next year and would be sacrificed eventually. Just look at the Colts' situation right now (or Mangini with us previously). These things never work out.

There is not one. We have a run game coordinator, but not a passing game coordinator.

Oh my god. I just solved our problem, the reason we suck at passing is that there is no one around to coordinate that part of our game!

I'm not so sure I would trust what people call "leaks". If there's anything to it, it sounds more like Reid was trying to take over and tell the GM what to do. It's not the first time Reid has been in a power struggle and he lost the one he was in at Philly. So Reid has a track record in that regard to consider.

And having the golden opportunity to finally address the QB position in the draft, I wouldn't trade our first pick for Terry Robiskie. lol

Things is 'Double B' thumbsup , if Sashi left something worth building on, how do they justify his firing then? So far the justification for keeping Hue is that Hue hasn't had enough talent to work with, which would mean at least the majority of this roster is worthless.

Either Sashi did a good job, or he did a bad job.

I think pretty much by default Sashi's firing has to lead to a roster purge.

In any event, this is 2 games that were the least inspired this team has played. Just looking at how differently Hue has interacted with Kizer on the sidelines since Dorsey arrived shows me he's setting Kizer up to be his next scapegoat. And Kizer's demeanor looks as if he's saying "But I executed the play the way you told me to!". There's no HC/QB relationship there and I don't think there has been for awhile

Sashi did not get fired because of the roster ... Sashi got fired because he either directly dis-obeyed the thief on the AJ deal or he proved incompetent by not getting it submitted on time .... AND he failed to get a QB and lost Hues trust ....

U guys want to act like the NIGHTMARE at the FACTORY of SADNESS never happened .... that led to an all ready toxic situation going public ....

They simply couldn’t work together .... that was OBVIOUS to me from day 1 ...

The right person got fired .... now the question is .... is Hue talking/coaching himself out of a job? ....

Sashi ... he didn’t get fired because of the roster ... he got fired for dis-obeying the thief, being incompetent and having a toxic relationship with Hue .... lets be clear on that ....

Sashi left us in GREAT SHAPE with some young talent and a ton of high value assets ...

NOITHING NEEDS TO BE BLOWN UP ... it needs to be ADDED ON TO!!!!!!
