Get Barkley 1st then Baker at 4 and it is on. Pick up a stud WR in free agency. Let Baker call his own plays. Go Browns!

Can't risk missing on Mayfield. Very likely he and Rosen go 1-2. Draft Mayfield #1. Fitzpatrick #4.

Mayfield, Fitzpatrick is an intriguing combo
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

If we value Barkley over Mayfield, fine. But don't expect Mayfield at 4. We can def get one of Rosen, Allen, or Mayfield at four (if we select Barkley). But if there's one we prefer, we'd have to select them at 1. Anything else would be stupid

I think the most interesting option is Bridgewater.
Only Bridgewater and Cousins would preclude drafting a QB at 1. Haslam will not pay for Cousins.
It will be interesting.

It will be interesting. I don't want Cousins but Haslam would absolutely pay for him if his GM and coach want him.

I think Haslam likes his money and would tell them to come back with another option.

I think Cousins is going to get $30 mil a year and at this point, I would pay it.
I could then maybe see us not draft a QB round 1 if we have that much invested.

Hue has a way of retarding everything!!

But would Cousins want to come here? Even if we offered 5 million more per year?

I'd honestly take a look at Minny's situation ... Keenum will probably get re-signed ... is it worth a look at Bridgewater?

I'd try to hedge my bets if I was the GM though and pick up a Drew Lock or a Kurt Benkert later in the draft. Dorsey doesn't have anything invested in Kessler or Hogan.

We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

Cousins is going to get paid wherever he goes.
so why get paid in cleveland we he can get paid AND be in a stable environment on a decent team?
sorry to bust people's bubble, but him coming here is about as realistic as Jimmy G coming here.

Pipe dream: Teddy Bridgewater, Lamar Jackson, Kizer
What I think will happen: Baker Mayfield, Kizer, Hogan or Sam Bradford Re: Pipe Dream - and then when we schedule Florida St, Wake Forest, Duke, NC State and Georgia Tech - we'll be fantastic! Think the NFL will go for it? Darn. Re what you think will happen: puke.

I mean, I bet you've taken the Browns to the Super Bowl like a dozen times on Madden. #Amiright Back to reality...I actually wouldn't mind Barkley at 1.

Mayfield is going somewhere in the top two ROUNDS and I'm not sure it's going to be the round you think it is. Well - I take that back. We'll probably draft him at #4 while the rest of the league laughs at us. So never mind, I take it all back. We should trade back to #22 and take Johnny Mayfield there. It would be so #Browns. Tradition and all.

I thought Mayfield showed zero skills today that would translate to the NFL.
Therefore, I fully expect the Browns to draft him.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Sadly I agree with this, but you have to at least try right? I'd back the brinks truck up for Garoppolo and see where the chips fall. There are only so many winning caliber NFL QBs. I think there a total of 6 I'd be willing to try and go get this offseason via FA/trade/draft: Garoppolo, Cousins, Keenum, Alex Smith, Rosen, Josh Allen. That's it. And Allen won't be ready to start day 1 like the other 5. If we don't get one of those 6 - we're having this exact same discussion next January.

The simple fact is that there are about 10 teams that could possibly draft a QB in the first round. Some will be for development.
There are 5 or so that will go. I only see Bridgewater going in as a starter. Possibly Smith or Manning, depending on what those teams do.
So you better get when you have the opportunity.
Welcome back, Joe, we missed you!

sorry to bust people's bubble, but him coming here is about as realistic as Jimmy G coming here. There aren't that many teams that will be able to afford Cousins. The 49ers just took themselves out of the equation with JG. Out of the other teams with a QB need that could afford him, we have the most ammunition to improve.

I don't want to be snarky, but Cousins isn't exactly Charlie Frye. I haven't watched much of Mayfield (college ball isn't that interesting to me). What makes Mayfield so good? Please don't say "he's a winner!".

Please don't say "he's a winner!". Leadership, terrific arm strength, accuracy, he can read the defense, great passer, very good pocket awareness, and excellent under pressure. He's a two time walk on and only walk on Heisman winner. He is a football first player and does the things necessary to be a winner.

Why is everyone else missing besides you? C'mon cfrs...he thinks height is his ONLY negative, on top of him being significantly BETTER than Kirk Cousins. What is everyone else missing? I'm going with being related to Mayfield.

You tell me then what his negatives are... and why some other QB in the draft is better.
