My take-away from the Pryor thing is that it clearly shows just how bad of a job Sashi did in addressing the WR unit.
Pryor was clearly head and shoulders above any other WR on out team in the 2016 season, yet he was just a guy on a poor Washington team.
Think about that!

I would welcome Pryor because especially because Hue Jackson is around. A wide receiver of Josh Gordon, Corey Coleman, and Terrelle Pryor is pretty good and that's without the inevitable addition through free agency or the draft.

There's still a risk of Pryor playing more like this past year in Washington, but he won't command anywhere near the amount of $ in this year's offseason as he did last year.
This time around, it will be worth the risk.

This time around, it will be worth the risk. Agreed. I think he will sign a contract similar to the one he did with Washington.

Think about that! Yeah. Him not going deep at the cornerback position in 2014 and WR position in 2015 is so bizarre. Only thing more bizarre is calling pass plays for these guys 30 times a game.

I agree.
But if we do indeed go with a rookie qb next season, a WR group of Gordon, Pryor, Coleman, and Higgins, with njoku, Duke, and whoever is the main rb is a good core to have.
Not to mention a drafted player. I can't imagine us not selecting a receiver somewhere in round 2. I'd say round 1, but at #4 is pretty high. It would have to be in a trade down IMO.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

Higgins had a big game against the Steelers, but him and/or Louis need to go from the starting lineup.
They're good development/depth guys, but the fact we're trotting one or more of them out there as starters...?

See, I don't think it was all that stupid. He wanted to get the big bucks... he tried for that, and when he didn't get it from us, he went to a team that had a legit QB throwing the ball vs us. I mean, how bad would he have been if Kizer had been throwing him the ball instead of Cousins?
Makes sense to me. He would have already been set for life if he stayed with us. If You can't make sense of that then you have my sympathy.

I mean, how bad would he have been if Kizer had been throwing him the ball instead of Cousins? Did he have a better year this year or last year? Cause last year he had Kessler throwing him the ball. And Cody is no better than DeShone. Hopefully we can get Pryor back. Hue and him seemed to have a connection

What does that have to do w/my quote? Seriously... k Not a damn thing. Our WR's suck, just lie our DB's do. YOU were the first and most adiment about our DB's\. I give you props for that bro. However I posted a lot about Pryor being an ass, and screwing up by signing with Washington while 99 percent of the folks around here bashed me for that.

I don't blame Pryor though. He listened to one of the greediest agents in the NFL and paid the price for it. We'll pick him up for a lot cheaper than we offered last year if we want him.

Well he sounds like he wants to come back and given all the other FA WR's I don't think he's going to get more than $4 mil a year. Of course all it takes is one team and he still has the same agent. Also, Dorsey doesn't have anything invested in him and might not want him back.

I think Pryor worked hard when he was here. I don't get the Britt comparison, either.

The one guy I want here...to go from nothing to VET LEADER of the WR corp....he still has game. Larry Fitzgerald! Give him his pay day! Probably the ONLY vet I would be comfortable THROWING a ton of money at to get here. Larry is a class act, and he would not be coming just for a payday. Too much character in him for that kind of stuff. But, I think he would want to a chance at a ring, no?

I think I would rather have Barkley or Fitzpatrick at 4 than Ridley, but wouldn't gripe about any of the 3.

This year and next year if we draft right and use our cap right in FA will turn this team into winner for years to come, so I would trade my 2020 1st rd. pick to move back into the top 15 to grab Ridley ... If things go as planned (My Plan) I would have my QB at #1 (Rosen, Allen, or Darnold) and my Franchise RB @ #4 Saquan Barkley, and then Ridley, this would transform this offense in 3 picks + other picks and FA's ...

Is there something specific that you remember? I remember numerous tantrums on the sidelines and getting in the QBs face a few times. One year earlier the world was wondering if he could make the transition, so yeah, he worked hard to get to where he was... A little early to look like Terrell Owens on the sidelines when someone didn't "get him the damn ball" though. Locker room cancer or just a "fiery competitor"? I'd still err on the side of the latter.

As of right now I believe we have 12 draft picks in total. Unless people really believe that our roster needs 12 more rookies plus UDFA rookies on our roster, we have the ability to trade back up into the first round to draft almost anyone we want past pick 20.
I don't believe that signing a FA WR who got lost on the depth chart in Washington is an answer.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I don't think Pryor should be considered an "answer". He'd be a low-risk, high-reward signing.
Put another way, we have a couple of WRs that got regular playing time this year that need to be pushed off the roster. Pryor should help with that.

IMO, you can't have enough 6-4 WRs who want the ball when the game is on the line! Pryor would like to play for Hue again...and that is not a bad thing!
