I don't like Telfer at all.
Also I hope with one of our late picks 6th 7th round we get a kick butt FB. One who can actually catch and get some YAC. as well as block. Telfer disappointed me in his blocking.
Devalve got more and more reps whose blocking improved.

Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

Telfair is basically worthless, obviously as a pass catcher especially
Njoku needs to make a big jump IMO
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yeah, the players not executing the plays that were called had nothing to do with it. I keep forgetting it was Hue who dropped that pass in the Steelers game, not Coleman. Buck has to stop somewhere man. Sorry, 1-31. No accountability. We talk about changing a culture and losing mindset. Yet we just told EVERYONE ON THIS TEAM - 0-16 is acceptable.

Maybe if we had a coach to develop those players, and COACH them to execute, they would. Its a chicken and egg scenario. I see teams drafting guys consistently in rounds 2, 3, 4, 5, and they CONSISTENTLY gets starters and even pro bowl players our of those rounds. Meanwhile, we have 1st round pick after first pick that cant catch a ball. Its not the players we are drafting, its the coaching/development or lack-thereof.

Yeah, every draft pick should be great. A roster of first and second year players should be great. Let's not expect them to execute the playbook and blame the coach for that. Rocket science isn't your strong suit.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

excl, I like some of that but I will put in a plug for kindred at ss. I do not think it is automatic that peppers beats him out. kindred did a good job in run support and broke up a number of plays in the backfield. it should be a very good competition.

I don't like Telfer at all. The reason Crow was so upset on that running play that went for a loss is because Telfer had his man blocked and because of it they were in the way of two other defenders. Then, inexplicably, Telfer pulled off his block early letting all three defenders hit Crow for a loss. It was at Telfer to whom Crow was aiming his anger. You keep Telfer on the roster pretty much as a blocker only and he gives up on a play during their most important game of the season.

with time to reflect, it's just.....man this crap sucks.
i don't even want to wear my browns gear out anymore, to be completely honest. i dunno why, but i feel like the browns FO personally went out of their way to play the fan base like violins.
1-15, followed by a winless season? guys, we are literally the worst team in history. no other team has lost more games than us over this timespan. 4 games in 3 seasons.
Man, i want to have faith in the coaching staff, but damn if it aint really hard right now. i've tried to spin away for Hue and the coaching staff during the season, but the reality is that they are just as responsible for this crapstorm as Sashi was.
who throws 62% of the time with the youngest roster in the nfl, the youngest QB in the nfl, and horrible WRs? sure, you expect your QB to make basic throws, but 62% is inexcusable no matter how we slice it.
how many times have we heard Hue talk about running the ball more, only for Sunday to come around and Crow and Duke don't have 15 carries BETWEEN them? i mean damn one or two games we ran the ball TWICE in the second half.
thats indefensible. coaching should account for at least a win or two, but we can't even muster that?
So i just want to let you guys know that obviously we are all loyal, but i can't get excited about any hires because we've been played like this over and over again.
I've seen the same excitement for Dorsey that i did for Holmgren. and we got burned. i saw the same excitement for Hue as we did Chud and Mangini. got burned.
i mean......we could end up with my personal dream draft, and i STILL wont be excited, because we'll have Barkley rotting on the sideline since Hue wants to throw the ball like we're down by 17, even though we're only down by a TD or FG.
i can't stand another season where our Coach tosses yet another QB under the bus. tosses our entire roster under the bus.
i'm in general support of Hue coming back for another season, but i'm not excited about it, i wouldn't be upset if he got fired/traded.
right now, i'm just blah to any moves we make. until we start seeing the results in the W-L column, all of it is hot air.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

That's where I'm at, and have been for a few seasons - it's just, I feel more blah now than in the past. Draft time: It was always "Oh, we got this guy, and that guy, things are looking up." Or, front office: "Oh, we finally got the guy/s. Things are looking up." I'll be excited once things finally DO start looking up. Not until. The Browns can draft whoever, hire whoever. I won't be excited until the proof is on the field.

In many ways .. that is where most of us are. We know the plan .. we understand the plan, but until we see results on the field it is almost impossible to get excited. Kinda numb. shruggs

Great points, Vers. As much as we fight with each other on the board, we should all remember the common bond we have of carrying this awful cross. If the Browns ever get good again, I don't think any of us will know how to enjoy it. - I don't care if Crowell goes. Easily replaced, maybe by Barkley??? - I like Rosen, but also Allen. Not too big on Darnold after that Buckeye game. - Someone called Garrett Courtney Brown 2.0. I disagree and sure hope I am right. I saw flashes and think he'll be good. - Our defense could be great, if we only had an average secondary. We have to invest some of those second rounders there. - I am not quite ready to give up on Coleman, but man! He is a disappointment. Agree that we need another stud to pair with Gordon. - The two young tight ends could take a big step next year. Finally, this is our time! All we ever have is the draft, and man, we have it in spades this year. April is the peak of Browns football season. Have a great new year, fellas.

I understand where you three guys are at. I don't blame you and I have been of the same mind-set for quite awhile. I respect what you three are saying and I think it's cool that your not throwing a fit to have Hue fired. Yet, I sure as hell can understand your trepidation.
I will only say that because of the disconnect I understand why one of the two guys had to go. I'm glad that it was Sashi instead of Hue. I also like the hire of Dorsey.
Of course, there is no way that I can proclaim that this is going to work. I just feel more encouraged than I would have had we fired Hue and kept Sashi.
Just my opinion and not trying to get anyone to agree w/me.

Oh.......okay. It makes sense now. If it was the 2nd to the last game or against a non division team it probably wouldn't have hurt as much.

The beautiful thing about finally reaching the point of "blah" and not getting excited about any of the moves they make is that it means you have finally let go. It means you also no longer are upset by their determination to continually fail. Let Freedom Ring ('cause that's the only ring we're getting).

That's the part that gets me as well. I GET that we tore down the roster and that Hue had very little to work with. I GET that if we fire him, we're likely not going to get a better replacement, and we'll lose any continuity that we might of had. And I GET that the players still want to play for him and haven't quit on the coach ... but I can't wrap my mind around his choice to run so much of his offense around a 21 year old rookie with no weapons around him. It's like he set him up to fail. And then when the run game shows promise, he goes away from it and goes back to whipping the nearly dead horse. Part of me is afraid of drafting Rosen or Darnold, just because I feel like Hue is going to do the same thing and potentially ruin them before they have the confidence to do good things.

I'm encouraged for the Brown's future.
We kept a good coach and the players won't have to learn another system. I think that coach will run the ball more when our passing game improves and we don't have to face so many stacked boxes and are not trailing by double digits in almost every game.
We added two good football guys to the FO in Dorsey and Highsmith.
We got rid of a FO guy who undermined the coaching staff.
We have the first and fourth overall picks.
We have money to spend in FA and I think we have a guy who will spend it.

Watching this Post season talent in the first wild card game.
I feel it is just sad that we won't yet get to see what all this Browns talent could do with a better coach.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
