Texans are hiring former Raiders’ special teams coach Brad Seely as their special teams coach, per source. Seely worked in New England with Texans’ HC Bill O’Brien. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/953717839193673731

I've read that too. I have to believe that had the won the game agains the Jags, his personality wouldn't be quite the issue it is now.

Nobody seemed to have a problem with Tom Landry's personality.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I thought that he was our best position coach. I am still shocked that Hue let him go. I can see that one coming back to bite us. I think that Wilson is a very bright coach.

Holy crap: “I’m never going to go on record or publicly and bash any of our players individually or one of our coaches,” Keim said during an interview on 98.7 FM in Phoenix early Monday morning. “The bottom line is, and it’s [not an] excuse, our special teams, it’s been unacceptable. Point blank. That’s something that needs to improve, and I’ll just leave it at that.” That is the GM!

Amos Jones, I haven't seen anything made official yet about him coming here - but reading what little I have - please don't. Please stay away.

Amos Jones, I haven't seen anything made official yet about him coming here - but reading what little I have - please don't. Please stay away. Maybe he'll be a special teams assistant. I have grown to hate the job that Chris Tabor did, so I welcome most replacements. I just hope we don't grow to accept mediocre special teams play the way we did with Tabor. Every year, it was always some sort of Special Teams problem. Worse than we ever had before he showed up. And I started actively following the Browns with Butch Davis as the coach EDIT: If whoever the new guy is sucks, I hope we just fire them and get someone else. Not like we did with Teflon Tabor who made it through regime change after regime change as the sole continuity, besides Joe Thomas, that we've had on the team

Yeah, even though that's nothing more than a guess and conjecture on your part. lmao I do agree that if things don't improve next year, Hue will be gone. And yes that may make it a little harder to draw in top coaching candidates. But just making BS up doesn't fly.

I just want one example of a scenario like this working. GM (Sashi Brown) and coach (Hue Jackson) are hired at the same time. GM (Sashi Brown) is fired, the coach (Hue Jackson) stays. A new GM (John Dorsey) is hired and is forced to keep the coach (Hue Jackson). Just one example.
I'll give you several, off the top of my head, that didn't work.
Hue Jackson with the Raiders, Jim Caldwell with the Lions, Mike Mularkey with the Titans, Eric Mangini with the Browns, Leslie Frazier with the Vikings, Marty Schottenheimer with the Chargers (fired after a 14-2 season!), ... ...

He signed w/Houston. I think they had an advantage because Seely and O'Brien worked together in New England.

Maybe we did and he said he wasn't interested? Coaches turn down interviews for any number of reasons. Maybe he still has a year on his deal and he just wants to chill for a year. How many in here would be very happy to get paid for a year, but not have to go to work. Big bucks too, I might add. Even low paid ones make $150,000 a year or more. The average is probably around $250-300k per year. In my book, that's big bucks.

#LSU running backs coach/assistant HC Tommy Robinson just completed an interview with the #Browns for their RB position, source said. Would be an intriguing hire for Cleveland, big loss for the Tigers. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/954491053733744640We know about two interviews for the running back coach position. Both have been college coaches. I am intrigued.

Do you have a link that says the entire coaching staff will be gone in a year? I agree. None might come to Cleveland on a 1 year deal, but for a standard deal....3-4 years, you have your security. All coaches know that not making it to the end of your contract, still employed by the team is a real possibility.

NFL insider expects Browns to speak with Todd Haley Could another former NFL head coach surface in Cleveland's search for an OC? https://247sports.com/nfl/cleveland-brow...Haley-113953129CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora would be 'very surprised' if the Cleveland Browns do not speak with former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley before wrapping up their own offensive coordinator search. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin recently made the decision to part ways with Haley. The 50 year old spent six seasons with the New York Jets (1995-2000), three seasons with the Chicago Bears (2001-2003), three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys (2004-2006), two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals (2007-2008), three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2009-2011) and six seasons with the Steelers (2012-2017). Haley was the head coach of the Chiefs and served as offensive coordinator for both the Cardinals and Steelers. The Pennsylvania native left Kansas City two years before now Browns General Manager John Dorsey was hired. The coach that Dorsey fired in favor of Andy Reid was Romeo Crennel. The Browns have already interviewed former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo and Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan for the position. Head coach Hue Jackson is believed to be targeting candidates with play-calling experience. Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey has also been mentioned as a coach of interest.

There isn't any real hurry. We may still be waiting for the season to end, but it's unlikely any candidate with play calling experience is going to emerge from the remaining teams.

I don't think Haley would be a good fit w/the Browns. He's smart and talented, but the last thing the Browns need now is a contentious voice in the building.
I am of the opinion that Sashi and Grigson are gone in part due to their unwillingness to work cooperatively w/others. You simply can't have a situation where the main guy in the FO and the coaching staff aren't speaking to one another.
I think the new FO and coaching staff have both addressed the importance of working together. I don't think Haley is the right guy to add to that mix.

Flip has been the Eagles QB coach, helping to develop Wentz. Flip could be a possibility for the Browns OC position...

I think Ben might be the other half of the discord in Pitt. I also think Tomlin was getting a little nervous about his own job and so Haley was an easy fire.

I think Haley would be a real important hire Anytime you can have land another teams coordinator it's a bonus The Steelers offense wasnt the best in the NFL because Of the 3 Bs. You need someone schematically make it work Don't forget Ben was the least sacked QB 2 yrs running Haley knows offense He know how to maximumize a players talent Tell ya what you land Haley you might be able to land Bell in FA It's about time the Browns had a OC that knows how to Rwally produce points Too many bozos like Brian Dumbell and Maurice Carthon have littered the landscape
