Can you quote where I said Lamar was more accurate then Mayfield?
All I've said about Lamar accuracy is that he wasn't inaccurate like you were saying.
We can disagree without you purposefully shifting the goalposts on me.
I think you read most posts to know kingodawg (I think going on memory) stated that actually I copied your post which sort of by a large margin shows and argues the fact that Lamar.
But my statement nowhere accused you of stating that just sarcastically stated that for anyone who believed that Lamar was more accurate.
I however did challenge your secret rankings...its tough on a board I guess you should have stated that its possible that GMs just might have him ranked higher than the analysts.
My experience with the draft is that they have their (they your Kipers, Mayocks, Schefter, those guys) inside guys who give them little tips on where they stand. They dig and dig and by the time lets say one week before the draft they get it close to accurate especially in the top 10 picks.
But QBs like Rudolf and Lamar just are not included in the top QBs. Allen (I don't know why), Mayfield, Darnold and Rosen are. You all have followed the draft and yes usually threw the shorts process one guy flies up the board. So we will know in a couple of months a better grasp of the top 10. But if Lamar who as I noted.
I think has incredible running skills. Has the height (not weight) but 1-2 years of conditioning can build up those legs and add muscle without conflicting with his throwing motion.
He has the starts that GMs love to see in a QB and in a decent size program (not Division 2) Has an incredible TD-Int ratio.
The kid is not a dummy (we will find more out as scouts/GMs will grill him) and he has no drugs or law problems.
How in the heck can he not be discussed as the over all number #1 pick or at least a sure top 5 pick QB? As noted I have looked at his game film and come away with a negative in the Accuracy department. So much so that he seems to have been taken off the Elite QB list at this juncture of the draft process.
After the Combine and visit process we would get better feedback from the GM/Scouts who talk to certain Journalists.
So that if Lamar is in the good graces of certain GMs and it starts to be rumored he could go #1 or #2...then I will ASSume that what I saw in his accuracy has been corrected enough for him to rise up the ranks.
But all this unknown Rankings or he doesn't talk to the media so they only promote those who give good pressers. Which I think you also stated that it was a ill conceived thought process by said poster.
Actually Ed...we agree a lot. You showed that Mayfield by the stats which don't tell the whole story but are a good barometer by far not even close is more accurate than Lamar.
You also agreed in logic that the ides that popularity via media will be the variable to have QBs promoted higher than other as prospects for the draft.
So I did no goal post shifting. The message board is not perfect and I apologize as my posting habit is to directly hit reply (not quick reply which puts the author of the thread as who I'm speaking to) So then I will make a comment towards the quote or the poster...and then rather make a new post I continue on with other thoughts which you are correct I should either name rather than make certain points.
But you were so far from stating that actually you proved other wise I don't know why you made a big deal about it. Again I thought it was obvious to who I made that sarcastic remark and I based it off the Great Info btw, that you provided so why would that be remotely directed to you. I think most posters reading would know that it was not to you and I did not slander you name. But then again maybe not - so in that case I do apologize. See I'm not the Ass that some J'accuse me for.

Its a long time before the draft. Lets be civil. And we all are Browns fans (although were you a Redskins fan or RG3 fan and landed here and liked it???) and as mentioned face to face (except for the female who slapped me in the face...lol another story) I have yet to meet a Browns fan that I did not LIKE.
On the board it is so hard to get it wrong. But trust me just about everyone on this board and other probably are really good people.
I have met with Diam, Brown to the Bone, even Vers (long time ago) and others. All great people face to face.
I have learned a lot over the years. I think I'm retiring from coaching so that process of learning will cease. But I'm still involved with some individual training. Speed Training, Football, Baseball and Golf.
Also I am thinking of writing a book on Golf as I am embarking on a position in life where at 62 will lose a leg and will try my best to become a single digit handicap golfer again. I will look to memorialize that process. So I will try to communicate here over the next couple of months with my phone. I got some surgeries ahead of me and I will be at a rehab facility for a couple of months. But I'm hoping that if I am mentally good with my new place in life and willing to work hard it will be a better quality of life as I have not been able to walk well and lately hardly able to walk at all. Am in constant pain unless I dose up with my Oxy or Percocet (oxy with tylenol). So this might be relief. I feel bad for my wife and medically my economics are depleted. I have a house with equity that I was saving for my retirement but might be forced to sell before the right time or get forclosed on.
I need this board for some sanity. The last thing I wish to do is have confrontation. I love my Browns and love sharing it.
I thought it best to bring all out into the open cause I need sanity. I don't need pity. I don't need enemies or fighting. I don't need all to agree with me..please do not. Just lets discuss cause the reality of it all we are all just fans and cannot change the course of action which our teams take.
So I said my peace. Just came back from Church as I am a Greek Orthodox and this year our Easter is one week after the rest who got it wrong...lol So today was the start of our Lent!
Later guys and gals. I respect you all even though I don't show it. Oh so I'm going into the hospital next Friday as they will do an Agiogram of my legs to see all the veins/arteries and what condition they are in so they can make a plan on amputating my leg.
