(I can't figure out how to post a poll.)

Let's say the Browns use their #1 pick to take their QB, and by some luck, both Barkley and Fitzpatrick make it to the #4 pick. Who do you want the Browns to take?

Or you can just get both and and trade up to draft Lamar Jackson.

Interesting that Fitz has recently said he's most comfortable in the Slot.

Rams are contemplating Tagging Watkins. Leaving Johnson and Joyner available. Also seeing they might Tag Joyner instead.

I definitely see us going after Trumaine Johnson. Also Joyner or Boston.

Landing a CB and FS in FA could swing us towards Barkley or Chubb. Then again, adding Minkah-Fitzpatrick to that would seriously upgrade our WORST unit.

Fitz. I can't get a player close to him in the 2nd round. I can get a back close to Barkley in the 2nd round. Even the 3rd round.

FA aside, I would be torn between the two. Leaning somewhat to Fitz though...

There was a time when I thought we had to use the 4 for Fitz. I have come around to thinking that Barkley needs to be taken.

If the plan is to sign a lower tier vet and draft a QB at 1, THEN....sign Lamarcus Joyner in FA and take Barkley at 4.

Personally, I don't think Barkley lasts to 4. If he is still there at 3 the Colts will take him.

Barkly because we have to have a consistent run game and most importantly we have to score more point. You can't win if you can't score.

Plenty of options to have a consistent run game rather than using your first two picks to do it.
Not that I don't like Barkley mind you. I'd like a QB and Chubb or Fitz @4.

So much depends on our FA period though.

Did u watch this years Super Bowl? .. or last years? ... the most glaring thing to me ...

all 4 of them had RB’s by committee ... all 4 teams put up HUGE OFFENSIVE NUMBERS w/o a STUD RB or not a SINGLE HIGH PICK SPENT ON A RB spent by them (to the best of my knowledge) ...

And OFFENSE WASN’T THE PROBLEM ... wink ...

Our secondary should be priority after QB in both FA and the draft, plus RB is loaded in this draft so I say Fitzpatrick ... thumbsup

Fitz - need at FS > than RB. Good RBs are available later in the draft.

This pretty much covers it for me. The drop off from Fitz is huge while this draft is loaded with good RB's.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Fitzpatrict. I remember Tom Darden, Don Rogers and Felix Wright. It's been a while.

Repeat but it's ok.

We have till the draft which is on a snails pace to get here. We gotta talk about something.

I understand all the Fitz people. He is supposed to be a really good safety/CB. Smart and a defensive leader. No doubt he can help the Browns.

Barkley is the best player in this draft. Not only that but he does not need a rookie year to learn. He is ready to plug in and play.

His impact would be enormous. Immediately. He would make every player on offense better. He would make our ability to score way better from many places on the field. Special teams as a returner. In the passing game as a receiver. Obviously as a runner from anywhere on the field. He impacts play action. He opens up the pass game as a run threat. Great guy for screens. His locker room presence nothing but positive.

You can talk all about the other runners and how we can get a good runner later. Look at the results of the runners recently taken in the top five. Barkley is better than them.

The drop from Barkley to number two. Please no comparison.
Wait till you see this guy at the Combine.

He is going to blow people away.

Fitz should be great. Barkley is can't miss.

Everything hinges on the QB, and we have to walk through that door before the draft. The QB we sign in FA (if we do) will have a direct bearing on how much breathing room we have with raw talent in the draft.

If we DO NOT draft a QB at #1 there are two possible scenarios:

1. Barkley AND Fitz... along with raw QB talent by moving back into the 1st ~ Allen, Jackson, Rudolph, Ferguson, etc. TWO transcendent players and your QB of the future.

2. Barkley OR Fitz... along with raw QB talent drafted at the slot you gained in a trade for the 1st overall. PLUS another 2nd rnd pick this year and a 1st and 2nd next year.

As we talk about the talent disparity between Fitz and all other DB's or Barkley and the RBs, we also have to address the same between the three "coveted" QBs and the rest of the field.

This!

Plus, imo our TOP 3 needs are.......

QB, FS/DB's, WR's
or
QB, WR's, FS/DB's

QB @ #1(the one THEY want)
Minkah @ #4
Wr @...........?

Plus, I really think Fitz will be one of those "generational players".

No doubt a lot depends on FA.

Barkley - all day every day. BPA and he is the best player in the draft. Love Fitz, but if Barkley is there at 4 - run to the podium and be forever grateful.

Fitz for several reasons.

--I think Barkley is overrated by many. He has some dazzling skills, but I question his vision, his propensity to want to break everything outside, his large number of carries that go for no gain or losses, and his uneven numbers against better competition.

--I think we need a FS way more than a RB.

--I think there are a ton of good RBs in this draft.

--Fitz is a very cerebral player and Saban has never praised a player more than he has Fitz.

The reason I slightly prefer Fitz is that our secondary was garbage and he'd be a big upgrade. There are times when the best defensive player in the draft -depending on plenty of factors, of course - is the guy to take. And from what I've read, he is the best defender coming out.

Agreed. Fitz is the best D player in the draft from what I've read and heard. We can get a good RB later on because the draft is so deep there. JMO

note...both are going to be studs.
I know there are plenty of RBs in thus draft but Barkley is going to be special. 230 4.3 speed got hands of a stud WR...can block when asked.
An asset for the ground game as well as air. We would instantly have an offense. Oh wait...and we drafted our franchise QB. What better way to welcome the Browns finally into the NFL then with a once in a decade talent. We are the Browns...welcome back!

Now Cousins signed to contract that is high but not one that makes you crap anger, both Fitz and Barkley would be astronomical to our team.
