Sashi Brown was fired! Hue was not fired! Haslam said that Dorsey's number 1 job was to find a qb.
You can use articles and quotes where Hue was covering Sashi's sorry ass all you want, but if Hue was responsible for all the qb missteps, he would have been the one gone. Additionally, guys like Joe Thomas would not have said what they did.
You and a handful of others are still playing the stupid agenda game. Sashi's gone! Get over it!

The conditional nature of the #Jaguars trade with the #Browns, per league source: Kessler has to be on the active 46-man roster for six games in order for Cleveland to receive a 2019 seventh-round pick from Jacksonville. 2:00 PM - 28 Mar 2018 Kessler

Just what is a conditional 7th round pick? Is that like pick 3,645 if he throws a td pass or something? It basically means we don't have to pay his salary this year.

Good luck to Cody.
I think Hue said 'trust me' to give the kid some confidence. IMO that two-word comment has been brought up unfairly by fans and the media.
Am I completely sold on Hue? No. I'm glad we didn't fire him though. He deserves another year.

I remember last year when I caught so much grief for saying Cody did not have the tools to be a good qb.
Heck, I even remember when he was a rookie how a poster went off on me and others agreed w/him when I disputed that Cody was not better than Wentz.
He probably won't even make the team, but at least there is a possibility of us getting something for him.
Another great draft pick by the bum, Sashi. So glad that clown is gone.
Hue came out as being behind that pick. He said "Trust ME" he didn't say trust Sashi.

We'll never know what actually goes on behind the scenes. Hue was just doing his job of presenting a unified FO. Whether it actually was or not.

Mike Silver always said that Cody was the FO's guy, not Hue's. And that Hue never should have said that trust me remark at the time. It was a big mistake. He said that once......almost two years after the pick was made. Here is what Silver tweeted right after the pick in 2016: Hue Jackson happiness level right now: Turnt up https://twitter.com/MikeSilver/status/726247006046277632Then the "Trust me" press conference Someone elaborated on the "trust me" comments a day later. Mike's response: Cause Hue thinks he can help mold the kid into a player. Not sure on the specifics. It's all a blur right now https://twitter.com/MikeSilver/status/726419855973306368It was Sashi's ultimate call on picks, no doubt, but he leaned heavily on Hue for QB preferences. He wanted RG3, didn't want Wentz at 2, "Trust Me", etc. Why can't people understand this? The evidence is right there in plain sight.

I think it's amazing that people can't understand that Sashi was fired and isn't coming back no matter how much people whine about it.

Hue was covering for Sashi's dumb ass. No way did Cody fit Hue's criteria. Remember when you posted this? And I still think that the reason they drafted Kessler over Dak and other qbs was because they [mainly Hue] had him rated higher. So speaking of agendas.......

You edited your post. You took out the part where you talked about Hue playing the media later on. You then tried to disguise it.
You aren't fooling anyone w/your low-rent tactics.
Sashi got fired. Hue is here. Deal w/it!

This Mike Silver tweet wasn't a part of the Hue PR campaign, so I removed it to be more accurate. Would you want me to include those other ones? I can, if necessary. It's not at all hard to do.

Right.
Like you said, you can do whatever you want. However, that isn't going to change that Sashi has been fired and hasn't landed another job, while Hue is still the coach of the Browns.
Stomping your feet and screaming at the top of the lungs might have earned you some candy when you at the grocery store when you were a 5 year old, but it isn't going to bring your beloved Sashi back. At some point, you might want to consider growing up.

But alas, the childish comments aimed towards other posters have arrived yet again. You do stay true to form. But how come you said this after Kessler was picked?: And I still think that the reason they drafted Kessler over Dak and other qbs was because they [mainly Hue] had him rated higher. But now claim he was covering Sashi's butt? I'm trying trying to find consistency.

I wouldn't expect an answer. I'm still waiting for an apology he promised a few months ago.
His opinion changes like the weather. And as far as I can tell no one is posting about wanting Sashi back. So I'm wondering who has the agenda here...

I heard on the radio that Kessler has to be on the Jags' active roster for 6 games in 2018 for the Browns to get that 7th round pick. Seems unlikely if they still have Chad Henne backing up Bortles. I believe Henne signed with the Chiefs.

I know, right? And then you see another post like this from Vers: I read where Hue said something like: "you'll just have to trust me on this one."
Why?
Wasn't Hue responsible for the Raiders trading for Carson Palmer and getting Pryor in the Supplemental Draft?
Sorry Hue...........I don't trust you on this one.
This pick kinda reeks of Hue's interference. The Browns went away from what was working for them.
This one could be a joke for a years. The Browns passed on Wentz and ended up w/Kessler.
Where is that one guy........oh, what's his name....loves Alabama? I can envision him saying:
"What's a Cody Kessler?" rofl I am interested to know why the change to now it's "Hue covering for Sashi"? I mean, I think we all have a pretty good guess but confirmation is always welcomed.

Hue Jackson is an idiot. Honestly some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth just makes me cringe. What was there to gain out of "Trust me"? STUPID.
Just like this past week when he said that the QB they draft won't play next year "no matter what". Why in the hell would you say that, what does it help? What if the QB comes in and by far and away the best QB ont he roster......
Dude is a simpleton.

I wish him well

It's the "sit there and take it" line that's so funny. Like nobody should question his authority. Sounds like Cartman.

Well unless you missed it, he is the HC. Droning on and on about how much he sucks really doesn't change anything. It really has no impact on anything.
It kind of reminds me of the guy who comes to work every day whining about his wife but doesn't divorce her. After a while that BS gets old! lol

It really has no impact on anything (1) I've never said he sucks (maybe sarcastically) as a HC, so if we're gonna bring up BS posts, well...I see one. I've said he is a jerk, to put it politely. Jerks can be good HCs. I've called out some of the things that he's done that are concerning, but I've also said he never had a complete roster. That seems relatively fair. (2) Well, unless you missed it, this is a message board. None of this has any impact on anything. Does that mean we shouldn't post opinions or call into question Browns players or personnel, or bring to light the credibility of people's posts?

First of all, I don't/didn't really shed a tear for Sashi. The guy made his bed, and he got fired. I think part of the plan was to be crappy, but at the end of the day, he traded with 2 teams that took our pick and got their (apparent) franchise QBs. So, I'm not trying to stick up for Sashi or anything like that...
but...
Putting Cody Kessler on Sashi is misleading/inaccurate. Yes, he was the GM with final say, but it was established early on the Kessler was a Hue pick. "Trust Me". Silver can try to walk back his and Hue's comments on the Kessler pick (~2 years after the fact), but I don't buy it. What I'm trying to say is... Sashi did more than enough to warrant his firing and pile on him on this message board, so why bother making stuff up/twisting history?
I'm glad Hue is still here. He's not perfect, and I'm not happy with his coaching from the last 2 years, but I think he can turn it around with the help of Dorsey and Haley. He's still green as a HC, and he hasn't been given enough time here yet.

If Hue is the one who blew the QB's picks, why was Sashi the one who was fired? The math just doesn't add up.
I'm also very interested to know what people expect a HC to say about the QB his team just drafted? "The kid sucks and they drafted him too early. But I'm stuck with him!" lmao
Coaches always talk up their players. People keep bringing this up but honestly I think they're just grasping at straws to try and paint the picture they want to present.
