Attempting to engage in football discussion would be the bigger waste of time then this current "discussion". You can't even accurately keep track of the comments you make in your own posts. btw you were the one who brought up 1 & 4 I just answered it. ^^False: Hey ed, I wish him well. I just know one thing. He is not going to come even close to being taken #1 and #4. Its tedious having a 'conversation' with you because you make so many false, inaccurate, misleading comments that its tough to sift through. The above exchange is yet another example. But forget it...i'm tired of exposing your posts. When you are ready to engage in adult football conversation. You know where to find me.

Your obessive dislike for Lamar and how personal you take it is amusing.
Nice to make up things. Obsessive? how so just the fact this is a thread on the Wonderlic and per chance he scored 13 not my doing.
When we talk about QBs you got Lamar as the best and Mayfield as the 2nd best.
I think your internet contributions are excellent. I think your football contributions are marginal. I think your choice of BEST QB in this draft class is totally missing the point and its like you talk things (which I'm sure you just read and then regurgitate which is ok) but then you actually shocked me when you put your hat into the Lamar ring for best QB.
Obsessive dislike for Lamar...no, if we are having a discussion about QBs I for good reason do not have him up very high.
When the NFL becomes a flag football league that is when I'll go along with a Lamar type QB, until then I think he is a poor choice for an NFL QB. I don't go thread to thread with some anti-Lamar agenda. If you or others bring it up, sure I will shoot it down but what are you asking? For me to let you say what ever you wish and if I actually join the discussion and don't agree with you, you make this absurd suggestion that I'm obsessed with this.
I can smell BS a mile a way and although I appreciate you internet sharing of facts I don't relate that to you ACTUAL knowing what you are talking about.
Do you actually read the facts you put forward. Why I actually was shocked to learn Lamar is your guy. I can see if you like the kid. He is a good kid. But to state he is the best QB in this class...well absurd.
later. And stop making up stuff about me. I don't know you personally but as mentioned I think you are full of crap. Nice!

Well then he's a hypocrite. Read his last post. Lol, he's making the obviously fictional claim that our discussion of Lamar was specifically about picks 1 and 4.
Wah! Wah! my goodness btw you were the one who brought up 1 & 4 I just answered it.
If you are claiming a QB is actually the best then we have to be talking about #1 or #4.
I'm done with you. I don't expect you here long cause of the RG3 movement to the Ravens...If you wish to remain a Browns fan great.
But talk football if you would like. If Lamar is the best explain why.
Not attack me.
As was noted he is not that accurate. His biggest plus is making up his own thing and playing street ball and running around. In the NFL and with his slight frame (Cam Newton is built like a LB) he will not last. He is no way near the QB Watson is but if he runs like Watson did last year he too will end up on the IR...how long to QBs last getting beat up in the NFL. RG3 light years better. He has a tough time getting a job cause he is damaged goods now. That is the major reason I dislike Lamar as a QB in the NFL and think he is a poor investment.
You have to have success throwing in the pocket or making some lateral moves within the pocket and make Accurate throws. If you cannot do that basic fundamental QB function you are doomed as an NFL QB.
Maybe Lamar can learn and really become a football intelligent NFL QB but there we got that White Board inefficiently and also a low Wonderlic test to boot.
Balls in your court, I like the kid nothing against him personally I do think anyone touting him as the best QB in this draft doesn't know what they are talking about.
tabby at your best

Sorry Ed, I gotta agree with Tab. The NFL is moving away from running QBs. Even big guys like Cam don't run like they used to. Lamar won't be running as much after Pro LBers hit him in the knees couple of times. Then what do you have, an inaccurate QB who might not be smart enough to find his way to the stadium on Sundays.

I heard the same things about Deshaun Watson last year...inaccurate yada...yada...typical "running QB stuff". Russell Wilson SB, Aaron Rodgers SB, Mitch Trubisky, Carson Wentz SB, Cam MVP, Marcus Mariota etc i'm sure you're right though about the league moving away from the running QBs. I'm tired though. Since this is now the Lamar thread what is your prediction for the draft and his career?

I don't know what his hands are like because he would not listen to any talk about WR. But if he is fasts they say and has decent hands....well maybe.

i know, they look durable QB's like Sam Bradford....
what is your definition of a running QB?
any QB that extends plays or shows any sort of mobility?
black QBs? (that wasnt a shot, but come on, its a serious question)
lets go down the list of nfl starting QB's:
NFC West:
Carson palmer - lolol he's hurt all the time, pocket QB Sam bradford, his replacement....do i even need to post his injury history?
Russell Wilson - healthy, despite fitting the label of "running" QB.
Jimmy G - got hurt in 2nd career start, pocket QB
Goff - so far so good, pocket QB
AFC West:
Rivers - been hurt, pocket QB
dunno who the starting QB is for the broncos anymore, but manning was injured
Carr- injury history
Chiefs - alex smith was healthy, mahomes remains to be seen.
NFC East:
Manning - healthy, pocket QB
precott - what is he? he extends and runs too. healthy
Alex smith kirk cousins - healthy
Wentz - already got hurt, pocket QB
AFC east:
Brady - healthy, pocket QB, has some injuries to deal with
Tyrod - healthy, "running" QB, despite throwing for way more yards.
Tannehil/cutler - extensive injury histories, one mobile, the other pure pocket
McCown/bridgewater - mr helicopter ride and a guy with one freak injury
NFC North:
Stafford - injury history, pocket QB
Aaron rodgers - lolololololol
Trubisky - healthy
Sam bradford/Bridgewater/Keenum - the only one healthy was keenum
AFC North:
Kizer - healthy
Big ben - on and off with his health
Flacco - some injury history
Dalton - healthy
NFC South:
Cam - on and off, mostly healthy, mobile
Brees - healthy - pocket
Ryan - healthy - pocket
Winston - on and off, pocket QB
AFC South:
Mariota - injury history
Watson - injury history
Andrew luck - lolololololol
Bortles - healthy just sucks

yall keep throwing running QB around yet nobody seems to want to define what that actually is.
wonder why.

A lot of guys came into the league as running QB but could do other things too. Mariota comes to mind. Cam ,Russel Wilson Rothelisberger ect. They can still extend plays when they have to but don't run first. I wonder how many have designed running plays How long do you think JT Barrett would last in the Pro's?

no offense bro but this doesn't make any sense.
come into the league as running QB's?
do you realize Cam threw for over 400 yards in each of his first two nfl games?
mariota's rookie year, he threw 19 TD's and 10 picks, and only ran the ball for 252 yards.
mariota's best year running the ball was 2016 when he had 349 yards rushing.
aaron rodgers rushing for more than that 2 different seasons, and has 8 seasons with 200 yards rushing or more.
by your own logic, OMG DAWG DUTY THINKS RODGERS IS A RUNNING QB.

No I don't think any of these guys are running QBs anymore. Maybe Wilson but he can throw too. Lamar is a run 1st and under 60% passing. I can't think of any running QBs anymore. Just Lamar and he won't be running in a few years.

How is a QB with better overall passing numbers than most of the top QBs considered a run first QB?
Now you’re just making things up.

Wow Swish, you're rippin' it up tonite lol. Great rundown on the QBs, pocket-passers take the brunt of the abuse because they are sitting prey. QBs that move in the pocket and are a threat to run, do well... when they play like Russell Wilson (the gold standard). Run first QBs have a very short shelf life in this league. Great QBs use their feet to become more of a threat... it's a fine line.
Bottom line... is Lamar an elite QB in this league? If he is, his feet and athletics just make him that much better. If not, well, it doesn't really matter.

guess what Swish. QBs get injured.
Btw some of your analysis is ridiculous.
Just to let u know. There is no such thing as a running QB in the NFL. Some are able to scramble n make plays, some can move the pocket around. But point blank if u are not an accurate PASSER u are not a good NFL QB.
Possibly there is such a QB in college but that just wont be in the NFL. Why some GMs asked Lamar to get reps at WR.
??? Do you consider Pryor to have been a running QB? He plays what position.

Once I partied at Nelson's Ledges and watched two drugged up guys fist fight over rights to a dirty pillow laying in the middle of a footpath. That pathetic spectacle was much more entertaining than ed and eo's sissy fight. However, both of those epic showdowns pale in comparison to the unbridled excitement of Wonderlic test results; My quarterback has to know if he wants to leave a 12% tip on a $17 tab and he gives the cashier $19.29 that he should get a quarter back. Not only should be know that, like right now, he should be able to answer 50 questions of that nature in about 10 minutes or be struck from the draft board.

I never made the claim that there are running QBs. So it’s odd that you will come at me but not the actual guy who made the claim.
Typical.

Lol, "Running QB" is an arbitrary term that gets tossed around without any semblance of uniformity or parameters.
Reading this thread/forum I think the basic breakdown appears to be something like a running QB is a QB that can run but hasn't played in the NFL yet. If they get to the NFL and have success then they are pocket passers.

My other favorite thing is that how running QBs are more injury prone than a pocket passer. I'm not a Doctor, but I don't think a QB's gait is what determines if he'll get injured by a 6-4 300 lb linemen hitting him.

Reasons why I like Allen the most in this QB derby- old saying, a good big guy is better than small good guy- Allen should be able to take the hits from big mean guys better than smaller guys. A reported Wonderlic score of 37- smart better than not as smart. Last- want to, his background tells me he'll work his butt off to make believers of those who doubted his abilities- opposite of you know who......GO Browns!!!!

For a quarterback, I would choose the guy who was a tennis prodigy, who could've been the next Roger Federer if he was born in Europe, who gave it all up for football. I choose the guy who is dedicated to being the GOAT through his proven work ethic, not media narratives.

Well I do understand why tab would be defensive when someone keeps trying to promote a QB who is most certainly in the second tier in this draft class. That's far beyond silly.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

All this beautiful animosity and no one has mentioned Tyrod Taylor has the lowest wonderlic score of starting QB's in the NFL (15, was it). Relax...it's only a game.

If he had the chance to practice for the test, I bet he would've scored significantly higher.

Sorry to say this, but on film he does not look good, not his game but the way he carries himself, or in this case the way he does not carry himself. Kid looks dumb, and with the importance of media nowadays, this is not a good thing for a franchise QB. Honestly don't see him fit has a QB in an NFL locker room... and I love him has a player. On he plus side, we don't have to worry about concussions... Just kidding... :-)
