Yes. I know a lot of rednecks who call themselves that but if a city dude called them that, they would fight. I know a lot of women who refer to themselves as b*tches, but I don't want to be the guy that calls them that... I know a lot of families that pick and poke fun and call each other names in jest all the time, but will rally around if an outsider makes the same comment about a family member because suddenly it's not funny.. Browns fans make fun of how bad we are but get all bent out of shape when some non-Browns fan makes fun of us... this is a concept as old as time.. we (whoever we is) can make fun of ourselves and have slang terms for ourselves but if you are not one of us, then you cannot use them.. sorry, those are the rules.

This is the first time I have asked the question here, why do you want to make things up?

This issue should now be dead. The rules are written, the Owners and League have set the list of demands for employment. The players have the option of standing for the Anthem or remaining in the locker room. They have been given ideas to further their cause outside of Game Day.

If by chance the players decide to do an "up yours" and kneel anyway, which I expect they will do, they will be seen as saying "up yours" to the Owners, to the Profession, to the Fans and to America herself. Their insubordination will be seen as childish and privileged rebellious behavior. It will be taken as "We are above your rules and could care less what you think."

This will certainly not work in their favor or the favor of their cause. It may actually convince even more millions of people to turn off the games.

My final advice is to come out for the National Anthem and stand proudly.
This will be greeted with a rousing applause and show the world that the Professionals are acting Professionally while everyone will expect they will be pushing their cause outside of work.

Fans will return, money will flow, distractions will be eliminated and the Game will become more successful, benefiting everyone.

So? If they stay in the locker room during the NA they will be booed by all the racists fans in the stands when they appear on the field anyways. May as well stick it to them face face. Man to man.

If that is how the Players see it, instead of a call for Professionalism, then the cause is dead and the game is dead.

You see, this got out of the Players hands and has grown into a statement about our Society.

Professionalism, Patriotism, being responsible for your actions, and no one being above the rules and laws have become the focus.
