I'll start with English 100, that is remedial level, just for you. In the article, there is NO STATEMENT which refers to multiple comedians. There are MULTIPLE statements which refer to ONE comedian. The plural is "references", not comedians, the author at no time quoted multiple comedians in the same statement, she made several statements quoting an individual comedian. "quoted a comedian several times" is both factually and grammatically correct. As for gender, I used "he", not as a definitive statement, but as the standard, established pronoun to use when gender is uncertain, since I did not check because I do not consider it relevant, because it isn't.
Next, reading comprehension. The statement I made, was countering the authors contention that ALL, or nearly ALL, poor white southerners were involved in working with the slave trade in some way. I stated that this is not true, nothing you have said counters this contention. The fact that slave patrols existed does not mean every poor white worked on them, or as overseers or plantation managers, which the article referenced but you keep ignoring. At no point did I state or imply that there were few slave patrols, or that few poor whites were involved in this activity. I DID state that the percentage of the overall poor white population participating in this endeavor was nowhere the near-total inclusion that the article implied.
I made no insult, I related facts. You have repeatedly demonstrated an inability to differentiate between small numbers. That is a fact. The inability to differentiate between small numbers is an indicator to the mental capabilities of a low-grade moron. That is also a fact. Make of it what you will.
The statement "both racism and economics were factors" does not indicate either one as primary. Irish and Italians were in fact used as slaves, both in this country and their home areas. You might want to read up on some English and Roman history.
I did not state no leftist would mention GGS but I DID state they would not discuss it, and they have not. The reason they won't is because it does not scream "RACISM" every 5 seconds. It certainly does counter the article as it lays out in great detail that the primacy of certain ethnic groups is based on accidents of geography, weather, animal species distribution, and random chance, and has nothing to do with race or racism.
Sonny, I have Destroyed both contract and divorce attorneys in court, based solely on my ability to both read and comprehend. You, on the other hand, have repeatedly failed to understand statements in clear English.
"Here's a ball, perhaps you'd like to bounce it." Don't mind me, I just grabbed a bowl of popcorn and a coke. Please, the two of you may continue

Lol, ok, simmer down. Your anger is clouding your vision. In her essays, she quotes TWO comedians a few times. In a summary of the essay you said she "quoted a comedian a few times." What you said what grammatically correct, but not factually correct. As 1 does not equal 2. I know you envision me as a teacher, so I am glad I could teach you this lesson, but unfortunately you're going to have to talk to Diam about further appointments.
Yes, I'm aware that He used to be the default gender, when identifying someone's gender. My point is that you haphazardly read pieces, and now you're telling me you didn't bother to check out the name of the author, which is right under the title? These are weird points to harp on. How your misreadings of the pieces are totally justifiable and excusable.
For someone who can't tell the difference between the numbers 2 and 1 apart, you really love this "differentiate small numbers" line. I assume it's been used on you a few times. It's seem to have stuck in your mind.
The statement I made was correcting your assumption that the poor and working class did not actively participate in slave patrols at anything more than a minor level, by telling you how state militias, made up of poor and working class white people, were used as slave patrols for over a hundred years. Not to mention the men of the local communities who would partake in protecting that community. I then said that during the Civil War mostly all southern men were either slave patrollers or Confederate Soldiers, both jobs sole focus includes enslaving black people. I am not defending the article or stating that it's true, just rebuking your Dixie nonsense that just a few people enslaved black people, when in reality, it was 99% of the population.
There were Irish slaves in the 1850's? Rome was around in the 1850's? Did you get your history degree from the same place you got your undergrad? I can see why you're so lost now.
You stated that no leftist would give GGS any attention, despite me constantly bringing it up to you, as well as it being posted by a leftist. You probably haven't read it, so it's useless to convey this to you, but Diamond does talk about political societies grow from a small bands, to a tribe, to a chiefdom. He would state that the socially acceptable violence found in a chiefdom was pointed towards slaves during this period in America. GGS is actually a good starting point for this essay, as you can see how groups are formed around ideas just as "whiteness" and "eurocentric". Of course the book primarily deals with history before America and isn't exactly a rebuttal, but when you're reading it, anything is possible.
Congrats? You've destroyed lawyers too dumb to learn corporate law and emotional vultures who couldn't cut it as a personal injury lawyer. Am I supposed to be impressed? That's some very low hanging fruit there. Even lawyers with bus seat ads are far too prestigious to try to gloat about that. But congratulations, it seems like you caught the bouncing ball as a small time lawyer, giving it to divorce lawyers. lmao

Is gluten free ice cream even a thing? Ice cream is usually made from dairy; gluten comes from wheat or other grains. Ice cream should be gluten free by default. all well. Maybe the Swish should refrain from gluten free WEED! Vambo smoking that ergot

Count your comedians and your verb tense. You are incorrect.
I do not envision you as a teacher, you have claimed it and I am astonished any district has accepted you as such.
The author's name or gender convey no useful information. You are the one harping on it.
You are the one who has failed. 20% > 3, remember typing that? Dealing with a total of 10? That was you.
I never mentioned slave patrols, that is your obsession. I referenced overseer and manager jobs, as were referenced in the article. The sole focus of the Confederate army was combat, not enslaving black people. 99% of the population is ridiculous liberal crap.
Both were indentured servants at that time, Both were chattel slaves in the past, and, surprisingly enough, Rome is still there today.
Your statement constitutes the first actual discussion of GGS, and you got it wrong. Groups formed around a grain crop which could grow where they were, be stored a long time, with a trainable draft animal and good weather for a sustained period. Clan identifications were simply all the folks in your neighborhood.
What I did in court you could never accomplish.

Oh, I am so frightened, whatever will I do.
Eve, I could not possibly care less.
I do not judge my opinions or statements by what others think of them, most people are idiots. Known that since about age 7. I seek out accurate information, compare, run analysis, do the math, run multiple permutations, and determine what is factual, and what is meaningless babble.
Most of the ignorant flapping yaps here are no more than mildly entertaining backround noise, full of sound and fury yet signifying nothing.

Should that be in the porn thread? we have one of those? anyway, my soap is gonna be about those disenfranchised americans who are too mixed up to claim a race on applications, so they have to mark 'other'.

All soaps have:
Love triangles Murder mysteries Psychopath rapists Gaslighting Mental cases stealing someone's husband/wife/girlfriend/boyfriend Evil bitches Men with evil backstories who are lying about their identity Token gay guys who never get any screentime except to prop up a gay cause. Short girls wearing very high heels who are also secret detectives creeping around dangerous places. People are always pregnant and having very many children who are never seen onscreen. Someone either drowns or gets blown up, or murdered in a park. Failed wedding ceremonies.
Oh I could go on and on, but I will stop.

Networking and IT diagnostics. 30 years now, billing mostly over a 100 per hour. Self-employed the last 15 years with no advertising needed.
No supercomputer, just 99th percentile and genius level IQ. Tests vary, but consistently just over the line. High reading speed, prodigious memory, getting a bit rusty with age. Just the other day a customer asked me for the password on a system I hadn't touched in three years, one that she had made up, and I went to tell here what it was, just like always, and for 3, maybe 5 seconds it just wasn't there. It was a bit scary for me. FingerTips.
There is only one kind of math. The kind that gives the right answers.
No real need for calculus, though it does illuminate a number of mathematical progressions, these are not really helpful with folks who can't count past three, and don't understand who percentages and probabilities work. Those were the schoolteachers among you.

I would say that this is a common trait among IT people. Especially Type A self employed IT people. I have no patience for stupid stuff either. Thank you for sharing.

yo have you noticed how they do the psychopath rapist in some soaps?
you end up building some empathy for them as the episodes go on, throughout the story. its almost as if the director/producer creates a sort of stockholme syndrome relationship with the viewer and the character.

Yes.
On General Hospital right now, they have one former rapist who they are trying to "redeem" and made the story he did his evil deed because he had a "brain tumor".
Brain tumors are a total trope in soaps. They excuse all bad behavior.
And the other story is a med student being sexually harassed by a Dr, and he is going to force her to have sex with him, because he knows she slept with her mother's boyfriend and is going to blackmail her.
They like to do current event type causes, so that is their #metoo cause.

Victor Newman is still around on Y&R. Although I don't get to watch that soap much anymore since they changed their timeslot to earlier and i'm still working when it's on.
Mostly I watch General Hospital. And if I get my work done particularly early I catch some of Days Of Our Lives (although it's a bit cheesy)

The actor is 77. Yeah, soaps move kinda slow with their storylines. They like a long lead time. But I've noticed during sweeps weeks and such they bring things to a head in a hurry.
Some soaps have gone off the air. They have a ratings problem in general. And I'm thinking they are gonna have to speed up their storylines a bit, or better/more creative writing that can give some action daily.
We are in an instant gratification world now, and people like their 1 hour primetime dramas, Soaps are gonna have to adapt to that format. Maybe not exactly, but more bang for buck.

No real need for calculus, though it does illuminate a number of mathematical progressions, these are not really helpful with folks who can't count past three, and don't understand who percentages and probabilities work. Those were the schoolteachers among you. I'm not calling you a liar, but I think braggadocious and embellisher are a definite fit. Networking and IT diagnostics. 30 years now, billing mostly over a 100 per hour. Self-employed the last 15 years with no advertising needed. I see the geek part, 30 years makes you a tech dinosaur, and billing that rate as somebody self employed probably makes you one of the cheapest guys in town (unless it's a small town), so no doubt you don't need to advertise. Throwing the billing and advertising bits in there make you look self-aggrandizing, then the rest of your self-description just reaffirms my initial thoughts. I would literally have to witness you take an IQ test to believe your IQ was over 140. Just your common spelling mistakes alone make me think that bit is a stretch, and don't get me started on the logic you present in most of your posts. Also, I would think you might have a degree of fame being both conservative and certified genius, that has to be a rarity. But sadly I've never heard of you outside of here... lol The prodigious memory almost made me spit my drink (luckily it was water), the embellishment story was corny at best and if this had any truth to it whatsoever you would remember getting burned the last time you tried to match wits with me. But your dislike of people in general does fit the picture you paint and your social awkwardness is on full display in almost every post, so you get a few bonus belief points for that. So I think the truth is you are almost genius IQ-wise and that sucks like second place. Been there done that. I believe your work bit too but I don't understand your need to embellish unless it's not all peaches and cream. So again, not calling you a liar, I just don't fully believe you. Let's keep it friendly and just say you are almost presidential in that way. PS: Typos are common but abhorrent to almost any higher intellect, I find it very un-genius of you to include 3 in such a short blurb. BRILLIANT! If you did it trying to fit in though.

Do you like looking at pictures of me as much as I do? If not, why don’t you move along? Me and one of my bosses - Katherine. Katherine is smart, ambitious and maintains high expectations from her staff. And she facilitates us achieving them. An excellent Director. Unfortunately, she’s a super minority, minority. Me and my poker buddy Joe. I've posted this one before. If you’re old enough, you recognize Joe (Joseph Lieberman). He was the 2000 Democratic nominee for U.S. Vice President. (All Gore’s running mate) and the first Jew on a major American political party presidential ticket. Around the time of this picture, Joe was on Trump’s short list for Director of the F.B.I. But he had to decline it would have really screwed-up our Tuesday night poker game. One more. Let’s see, Black, Jew… Oh yeah. Cripple. Me at a Buckeye party.

I would like to ask a question.. what difference does it make that the author quoted a few comedians or two comedians twice or whatever the final tally is on comedian quotes? Comedians are just people too with thoughts and opinions, some of them are pretty intelligent.. and their art form is putting things into words in ways that most people cannot.. so the fact that they give some memorable quotes isn't all that surprising, is it? In my life, there are quotes I remember that resonate with me that have come from song lyrics, books, movies, comedy, etc.. it matters not who said it, what matters is whether or not it rings true for you.. As Exhibit A to what I'm talking about I offer the following... Crowd Cheers when valedictorian quotes Trump. Then reveals it was Obama Thomas Novelly, Louisville Courier Journal Published 5:19 p.m. ET June 3, 2018 | Updated 1:40 p.m. ET June 4, 2018 LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Kentucky high school student wanted to share some words of wisdom with his graduating class, but there was a twist that no one saw coming. "This is the part of my speech where I share some inspirational quotes I found on Google," said Bell County High School valedictorian Ben Bowling in his speech. " 'Don't just get involved. Fight for your seat at the table. Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table.' — Donald J. Trump." The crowd burst into applause. "Just kidding," Bowling said. "That was Barack Obama." The 18-year-old valedictorian said the crowd quickly went silent.
