I ran into this thread while looking back at posts during the time of Cleveland's first Championship in 52 years.
The Cavs Championship two years ago. It's a real walk down memory-lane.
I actually took the time to read every post again.

Meet pop yet?
Do you care if you ever do?
My knee jerk is he's a loser since he doesn't care to travel a few miles to meet son (assuming you're a son).

I keep hearing about CoachB.. I wish i was around for that. Sounds legendary. Be glad you missed it. That person had me hook line and sinker. I'm embarrassed to even admit it.

I miss the old chatroom that we would all crowd into on Gameday and chat while we watched the game together.

It's similar, but totally different experience. The Gameday thread is mostly endless cussing. And the chatroom is chatting. But also cussing.

The gameday thread gets dominated by crybaby whiners. In the chat, you can tell them to STFU.

I sort of miss the old pick 'em, weekly, game by game contest - circa 2005.
Can't remember what that particular site was called then, but it was fun, and I enjoyed posting on it.
I also cannot remember the poster who did all that work every week (updated standings and such), but it was much appreciated.

No I haven't, yes I'm a male and as far as I know he's not dead yet. (In his mid-70s)

pre-dating this board, there were some classic Couch vs Holcomb debates
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Boston is far to the left as KC settles into the slot. Fannin is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Sampson are split in the backfield as the ball is hiked ... Here we go."

This goes back to the first board. Guys like Rock, Diam, Pit, Saint and Eo....who was the guy who posted as a girl for a year or so, then cane out and admitted he was a guy? I know some of you remember that.
Also....whatever happened to Dr. Flotsam?
There was a poster named Deke Dawg....he was from New Mexico....a bass player. He had one of the funniest come backs I ever read on this(these) boards.
In the refs forum some poster in bold letters posted WHO STOLE MY THREAD!, as it had been deleted for one reason or another.
Deke posted, Jarred of Subway stole your thread. With all the weight he has lost, he needs all the new threads he can get. LOL...I still laugh at that.

I know some of you remember that. I think his handle was "Ozzie82" or something like that. IIRC, when he fessed up, he said he thought he needed to pretend he was an older woman because he was posting from his grandmother's PC. It was lame as hell, but he had perpetuated that fiction for a couple years and didn't know how to walk it back. Then after he confessed, he got freaking hammered on the board, and disappeared. Heck, he may even still be here with another screen name.
