I never said it worked well. It was just the pot calling the kettle black. For some reason I think a gold star family who were verbally attacked by Trump may work a little better than a plumber though. lol

I disagree, I don't think either is a great person to look towards for political acceptance. Neither has a thing to say that means anything of any value in that regard. May sound mean as they have lost their son in battle, however its true.

Actually I'm speaking about from an emotional level. I think you can evoke a lot more emotions from people when showing that a gold star family was verbally attacked, or a veteran and POW was verbally attacked than you can from hearing a plumber talk about politics or endorse a candidate. I mean Mr. Kahn had a copy of The Constitution in his hand and lost a son in war. Joe the plumber? Well, he was a plumber.

Now from the aspect as either really knowing anything about politics or having anything of substance to add, I agree that neither one does. But we both know that people usually don't vote on substance. It's more emotion based. That is a sad state of affairs but I believe it to be true none the less.

Lets further the discussion, I agree, the "joe to plumber" voter to use a pun will not know the difference. However lets be honest, out of those voters that you depicted not knowing anything about politics - how many of them are going to read MR. Khans name on her website and realize who he is? 1, 2? It is absolutely in my mind at least - and not unreasonable to suggest - that she is merely using his name as an middle finger to trump. which hey, if that's how she wants to run, all the power to her. But its not working. Running on issues has worked for some dems as we saw in PA w/ lamb. That's all I am saying.

To me I think she's trying to cover both her bases. Running on the issues works for some voters. Pulling the emotional heartstrings works for others. I don't know if it's intended as a middle finger to Trump, but it's certainly intended to remind people how Trump will treat anyone, no matter who, if they dare to question him. Even a patriotic American family who lost a son in war.
