LONDON – Thousands of Trump supporters and right-wing activists took to the nation’s capital on Saturday — a day after anti-Trump protesters had dominated the city.

While the displays of right-wing support were nowhere near as large as the enormous anti-Trump march that demanded the international media’s attention the day before, it was still a significant show of support for Trump from those eager to counter the claim that Trump had been unanimously rejected by Britons.

Critics slam 'embarrassing' Mayor Sadiq Khan for feuding with Trump while London faces rising crime, knife deaths

London Mayor Sadiq Khan slammed President Trump’s criticism of him as “preposterous” after allowing a giant Trump balloon at anti-Trump protests in London, but critics question whether the mayor should be devoting his energy to tackling crime rather than “embarrassing” the city in front of the whole world.

Trump reignited the feud with Khan in an interview with The Sun newspaper, saying the Mayor of London “has done a terrible job” when it comes to terrorism and crime. “I think he has done a bad job on crime, if you look, all of the horrible things going on there, with all of the crime that is being brought in,” he said.

But crime in London persists on epidemic proportions as murder rate soared by 44 percent, with 157 homicides committed compared to 109 the previous year, according to official statistics from the Metropolitan Police.

A former ambassador to the U.S., Sir Christopher Meyer, was the victim of a violent attack against him at a central London underground station this week. “I’m absolutely shocked by the level of the brutality,” his wife, Baroness Meyer, told the Times of London. “They really beat him. It’s appalling — like something you would see in a war zone.

Earlier this year, for the first time in modern history, London overtook New York in the number of murders. In February, London’s police investigated 15 murders while New York saw 11 homicides. In March, the Metropolitan Police murder numbers increased further to 22, while NYPD’s jumped to 21. The City of New York has since taken back the lead however.

London is also facing the rise of shocking acid attacks, skyrocketing by more than 78 per cent over the past two years, with 465 such offenses in 2017, up from 260 in 2015, according to police figures obtained by the Evening Standard.

This led to frustrated Londoners airing their concerns about the spiraling crime in the city, all while Khan remains preoccupied with feuding with Trump.

Nearly 1,300 stabbings occurred in London up to the end of April. Stabbings in London are at their highest level in six years, with around 21 percent rise from the previous year.

I don't hate them, they broke the law and were punished as the law stated. Change the law fix the problem.

The people who brought the said children 2000 miles some of the minor girls were given birth control because their parents knew they would be raped on the way to the US boarder. Others some time weren't as lucky they were left to die in the desert. A lot of the children were not even with their parents but with human traffickers and drug smugglers forced to carry drugs across the boarder. And then knowing if the came in illegally they would need to be separated. Do it legally with the proper paper work proof you are the legal parent no problem.

So don't lie and try to make it look like 40 and I hate legal immigrants or want parent and children separated we don't, we want them to do it legally.

Those who escaped did so in absolute desperation for their lives and their children's lives. They are refugees fleeing from a land where they may be killed. You too would do whatever you had to do to get your children to safety. Put yourself in their shoes...imagine for one minute what life in the slums of Tegucigalpa must be like. Imagine for one minute just how bad and dangerous it must be for parents to make that desperate decision to travel so far knowing all the dangers involved in the journey. You do it for the survival of your children.

First of all I do not hate South of the Border folks, I actually see them as hard working, family oriented peoples and they make a good addition to America. I see a White/Hispanic Majority coming and I think it will make America stronger.

Second, It is too bad those folks down there don't have our Second Amendment so they could protect themselves from the scum and overthrow their corrupt governments.

Third, we need to control who is coming here and know their intentions or we will end up a rat hole too.
