Who is covering anything up? He reported the ALLEGATIONS. Thats all it is. Allegations. Don't call someone a harsh name like Woman Abuser when he has never been convicted of anything. If I start saying you beat woman does that immediately make you guilty?

This is all ridiculous. It was dumb for Urban to lie. I don't get it. I also don't understand why Smith was fired now as opposed to back then. I imagine all of that will come out soon enough. However the witch hunt on Meyer is unfounded right now. The only thing he did wrong is not be completely honest with the media. Big whoop. That is not a crime.

Like I said earlier, the claims of the wife coming to practices drunk and going off will be easy to prove or disprove. The claims that she called 911 so many times w/in a short period of time that they quit responding to her calls because they were not credible should be easy to prove or disprove.

Yet, we got guys like cfrs and Swish convicting men and an institution before the facts are in.

What will you say if it is proven that the wife made so many bogus calls to the police that they stopped responding to them? What will you say if it is proven if the wife went to practice several times and was drunk and unruly? What will you say if it comes out that she is doing this for money?

What will you say if the allegations are true? What will you say if Urban knowingly protected a woman beater?

I'm all for letting this play out, and Meyer absolutely deserves for this to be investigated and proven one way or the other. If the wife lied, prosecute her. If she didn't, Smith should be in jail and Meyer should lose him job immediately.

I agree with this ... however, the issue lies in the gray area ... what if NEITHER is proven?

I will say that both men should be punished.

And for the record, I will admit that I really don't believe the woman. I believe that the couple had some huge issues and things got out of hand. However, I think she is whacked and trying to make money off of this.

There's no doubt her case looks MUCH weaker today than it did 2 days ago ... my point is that neither side will be proven 100%.

If you put a gun to my head and asked "What happened?" .. my GUESS would be that she's unstable and they've had TONS of incidents, fake 911 calls, and drama for years.

I wasn't talking about the actual investigation. I was referring to some of the posters on here and a large segment of the national media.

I want to add that he might be punished/terminated even if the facts don't support a punishment because the university is receiving so much scrutiny over the allegations.

I’ve only said that if these things are true he will be fired. I’ve never called for him to be fired right now. Nice try. Also, this is the largest platform I have. So of course I will voice it my opinion, if I had a larger platform I would say the same thing (as many are).

So, if, it comes out that Meyer did report it, and it was investigated, and it was found that it's just a he said/she said with no solid proof of abuse, then will you use your platform to apologize?

There is a reason you need to use phone records in court, not just screenshots of your phone.

If it did have his phone number, could you even recognize it?

Also, reporters don't get access to phone records. If you guys are waiting for a court case, I'd suggest you don't hold your breath.
