j/c:
I am not saying we should cut Gordon. I just think it's a shame the "team" has to deal w/his constant drama. While I lean toward agreeing with you on this, at the same time I don't think the "team" has to deal with anything. It seems to me that the coaches and FO are on the same page as him with things, so whatever it is, it is just part of Normal. Us not being in the loop, however, gives us the impression that there is something to deal with.

If this is "just part of Normal", it has to make one wonder what abnormal looks like.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It is stupid to count on Gordon. Sure it is. But let's say we go with someone other than Dez. Jordan Matthews let's say. 1) Landry 2A) Matthews 2B) Higgins 4) Callaway 5) Damien Ratley or Josh Gordon Who would you rather have. Josh Gordon or Ratley? And that's only if we kept just 5 receivers Cutting Josh Gordon doesn't make sense. Nor does counting on him. Let's go ahead and sign another receiver. Let's not sign a guy like Bryant and all the headaches that he brings

I'm not so sure. We seem to have more talent and seem more focused. For the most part. Unless you mean "Josh Gordon normal". Which I still consider as a situation that's abnormal. lol

As of now we both have our opinions. The proof will tell us who is wrong.

j/c...we spent so much effort and time on him...at this point If we lose him, I want just rewards for him. Worth to jerk around with him this season the bottom guy #53 goes and Gordon come on board...probably Cajuste???
He can help to win games...I believe he becomes an RFA next season lets get something for him somebody will give a first rounder for him. Especially with some positive stats during the season.
Or we keep him here if he is done with the charade.

I don't see anyone giving us a 1st round pick for Gordon even if he's the best receiver in football this year

Why does everyone keep leaving Janis out of the discussion at WR ? He has speed, hands and is a veteran.

Only cause we had a preseason game and I didn't see him at all if he was out there that is almost worse cause he was incognito and he plays a position that should make some noise.
PPE Even if he's the best you don't think a team will offer a first rounder? Sorry but that doesn't make sense???

A live reading of his separation papers from the Browns resulting from Dorsey finally seeing the light and cutting him? Yeah, I know... no chance. But I can dream, can't I?

Still puzzles me why he posts in social media without browns gear...
Is it the orange that causes him anxiety?
Maybe he likes green more....

I'm really close to calling this a slap in the face to the Browns FO/org. If I were in his shoes, I'd be doing WAY more talking to the coaches and FO and teammates than I am to his fans on social media. It's almost as if he's playing a game with being away.

i'm growing tired of his drama.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

My guess: Josh will be back by August 23. My reason: He left on July 23 and most rehab programs are a minimum of 30 days.

Well I hope he is the best and we will see then. I still say that doesn't make sense IF WE ARE TALKING that he stats out as the best WR in the NFL.

i'm growing tired of his drama. Growing? I’m so beyond that. I just believe Hue when he promised that Josh will be back. That’s my take away and the only positive I’ve seen out this latest drama.

Typical. I've always wished the best for Gordon (and still do), but I think we are witnessing, in real time, the smooooth transition from Josh Gordon - drug addict, to Josh Gordon - drama queen.
This started with "me, me, me... because I need help", and continues with "me, me, me... because I'm the man, you fools!" And I guarantee the whole "time away" was spoiled milk over his contract - not to go get his head straight.
Please, oh please, deliver the goods Josh, we're all waiting with bated breath.

All the best WRs in the game are divas (said with a bit of sarcasm). If this means we have a Pro Bowl WR diva on our hands, so be it. I'll take that over a suspended timid pothead. I still think the Browns go along for the ride until he screws up one more time. It's costs them nothing to wait and see. If he backslides, the decision is easy to cut him because the league will drop the hammer on him. I still hope he does well for us this and next season. Beyond that, I hope he gets a big contract and plays well into his 30's. I don't want to see him fail. He may not have earned this hope from me, but he's a young kid and we all have made mistakes. I don't think he's an evil kid, just confused and battling an inner demon.

Flash will either return, or he won't. He will either contribute to the season, or he won't. There is nothing I can do, or say, that will change that. I am not emotionally invested in the outcome. My only concern is that if he doesn't, I have to replace him on my fantasy team.
I want what is best for Josh and his life. I also want him to stud out as a Brown. I would be happy if both happen, but if it's either or, I wish the best for Josh.

Cleveland Browns' Josh Gordon stepped away from team days after child support order in heated case WKYC Channel 3 reports that Josh Gordon is involved in a heated child support case with the mother of his three year old daughter. Matters came to a head on July 18 during a child support hearing before a judge. On July 20, the a judge ordered Gordon to begin making payments on August 1 when he resumed work with the Browns and collecting a paycheck. On July 23, Josh Gordon announced that he would not be at training camp. Join me, my friends. I have jumped off the Josh Gordon Drama Train. You can too, before it's too late...

If this is the reason he has been missing time, and the team has his back like they've shown they do, then I'm good with it. Same here. That kind of legal/family drama isn't going to make any relapse-type urges any easier. As for the social media nonsense? At this point, I'm with anyone not wanting to see or hear about it if he's not coming back. To Hell with the teases.

Court records also show Gordon earned so little money during his NFL suspension that he did not file income tax returns in 2015 and 2016.
However, court records show he expects to resume collecting his $800,000 salary and return to the Browns for their first game on Sept. 9.
lol how is he supposed to make child support payments when he doesn't have income?
Glad his management team got ahead on this one and that Josh is doing everything right. Hard Knocks episode 3 is going to be fun.
