That would have been DISASTROUS .... we would have won 3 or 4 games maybe even 5 .. Sashi would not have been fired and lord only knows what the coaching staff and roster would look like then ,,..

Not a fan of some of the draft picks but overall i’m THRILLED with this roster .... and i shudder to think what it would look like if Sashi were still here ....

It was HORRIBLE living through ... but now were on the other side ... lets hope Dorsey and Hue can make it worth the pain ....

Because they are trying to reach an audience of millions, not just die hard football fans. The point of shows like this (and why the NFL allows this one) is to make them marketable to a segment of the population they currently are not reaching.

The Browns have me so apathetic over the past few years, it's really hard to get excited about another NFL season. I'm an all Ohio guy, so between the Buckeyes, Indians, Cavs and Blue Jackets, there is/was plenty to keep me occupied and in better spirits.

Having said that, I've really enjoyed the first two episodes and look forward to trying to catch the game tomorrow. If anything, I want to see how the Coleman situation plays out in real time and contrast it with episode three.

I appreciate all of the different takes on "What We Saw" so far. I'm just hoping for the best and will be there in the Gameday thread rooting with everyone else. Fingers crossed that there will be something to see after halftime and the need to turn off the TV and go cut grass won't be necessary.

That was my favorite episode so far.

My favorite episode. So many quotoables from Haley, Highsmith, Williams, Nassib, etc etc..

I normally temper my expectations, but this hardknocks stuff making it difficult to not get excited.

I hope this is the rebirth. Been a long time coming.

I am really liking this show. It's very well done. Some takeaways.

--Hue is a great motivator and now I see why he never lost the team. He's real. He can tell you when you mess up and he can praise you. He talks to the guys like men.

--Baker has a strong presence about him and he strikes me as being intelligent.

--I think Landry was brought in to bring not only great skills, but some toughness. I think he and some others are there to help change the culture.

--Nassib is kinda weird.

--Not sure how people think Landry's block was dirty. It was a great block.

--Kirksey is a great teammate.

--Dez was respectful and upbeat.

--Haley is smart, but we gotta keep his negativity in check.

--Wylie is a character. But, he's right about playing w/a great base.

--Tyrod strikes me as a very serious and hard worker.

--I don't complain about officiating much, but man, some of those calls were really odd.

--I think the culture is starting to change in Berea. I find that encouraging.

I like his weirdness. It's endearing.

That s... was real! He really believes it! Now, I don't know if I agree w/him...LOL...............but, he's selling it and it's easy to see why guys want to follow him.

My Takeaways:

- Hue is like a baptist preacher, lol.. the mans words makes you believe anything. I think the dynamic of Hue being a great motivator, with the sternness of BOTH his coordinators.. We are making a blueprint that teams will start to envy and try to copy.

- It's interesting to see the different leadership styles between Tyrod and Baker. I see all seriousness in Tyrod, so to see him laughing and joking with teammates this episode was encouraging. Baker though, he oozes leadership. I finally see what folks were saying about him. You just naturally gravitate toward the guy. For that reason, Tyrod is gonna have to put in some serious work to keep the Baker chants down in the stands once regular season starts. I'm a little nervous to see how this will play out.

- I hate jerks. Haley and Williams are that, but I think its what this team needs. Williams demeanor never changes. 1 way all the time. Haley can turn it on/off. When he turns it off, he keeps me laughing. The Nassib interaction was funny. 'Don't call me bro' lmao

- Speaking of Nassib. I've been pretty tough on him this off season, and really lost hope. The spotlight in this episode, showing his grind, his grit, gave me a glimpse of hope again. Seeing how Orchard shot himself several times in the foot this last preseason game, Nassib probably has a roster spot. 'Cmon Carl!!'

- I was really hoping to see Dez sign a contract and announcing it on HardKnocks.. I think someone on Twitter gave me hope of that happening. Disappointing. I like our current WR's, but I think our locker room would benefit from having his passion. Still hopeful we sign him, but I get it if we don't.

- Glad the coaches are pushing the issue on penalities. Wayyyy too many. Can't win games with all those penalties.

- Jarvis Landry has a short fuse. If he's letting Terrence Mitchell get to him, then I'll be darn to see how he reacts to better corners. Glad Terrence was sticking to him though. That should make him better. Pushing for him to start with Ward. Perfect example of iron sharpens iron.

- Kirksey having a talk with Landry was good to see. True leadership. Right or wrong, you gotta have your teammates back, and take care of each other. True grown-up moment.

- Game planning to run the ball was a point of emphasis after a poor performance in the 1st game. Let's hope we can play some balanced ball. I'd like to see some good playaction plays next game.

- I'm really confused how we ALWAYS get screwed on OBVIOUS fumble recoveries. Duke Johnson one year. Cajuste this last game. Like what the heck!

- Josh Gordon.. lets see what happens. Hoping he's ready by Game 1.

Get the hell outta here w/your garbage. I get that you are butt hurt that Hue is still here, but if you can't see how he commands a room and motivates players, than............well, I can't say due to possible suspension issues.

I think players are just tired of training camp.

All the Tweets I picked are from unbiased observers. Bill Simmons, a Florida based reporter, and a 49er blog. I only picked verified accounts. There were many more comments that were much more negative.

I think you are wrong again. I think Landry is here to help change the culture. Did you guys miss the exchange between Hue and Landry after the incident? This team needs to get tougher and play w/more attitude. Landry is bringing that. We absolutely have to change the culture.

ARe you saying you agree w/those tweets? Because, I am seeing a totally different picture and I know quite a bit about coaching and playing for coaches.

All good. Everybody has an opinion. I just don't see what they are seeing, especially in THIS episode. Like what could you hate on?

Episode 1, I get it. You know the interaction with his coaches, him telling him that its his team in so many words, etc. But Episode 2 and 3? He's been perfect. Hue is leading this team, motivating this team, and I think preparing this team to make a huge turnaround.

I want to address the first episode. Let's look at three examples.

--The cameras show Tyrod arriving early to the facility. Later, they show Hue calling Baker over and asking him about when he was arriving. He mentions 5 [Taylor's number] and suggests that Baker might want to do the same thing. Hue didn't call Baker out in front of the team. He didn't chastise him or embarrass him. He privately "suggested" that Baker might follow Tyrod's lead in putting in extra work. In episode 2, we see Baker at the facilities very early. Message delivered. Message received. That was pretty powerful.

--The cameras show Hue receiving the news of his mother's passing from his sister. He cries. He bangs his head. Next scene........."One hour later" shows Hue out there vigorously coaching the team. That is the epitome of perseverance and resolve.

--A lot of Hue Haters love pointing to the conversation w/the RB coach and Haley. However, if you watched one fo the videos posted by either Grateful or PDawg, Haley talks about how he appreciates how Hue actually listens to his coaches ideas and how other coaches do not. He also said he is 100 percent behind Hue.

So.............I don't think he came off as bad as some folks like cfrs want us to believe.

It made me genuinely happy, as a person and as a fan, to see Josh Gordon back.

The stretching stuff from Bob Wylie was hilarious. I don't think someone with his physique should be giving advice on physical fitness. Funny guy though.

It's going to be sad when Roback and Cajuste (and probably Nate Orchard) are cut.

Hue Jackson definitely didn't know who Brad Paisley was.

Both QBs seem highly competent.

I think what Todd Haley said is true. Being undisciplined in practice, touching the QB, leads to being undisciplined during games, the low hit on the QB.

If Terrence Mitchell holds as much during games as he did while covering Landry in practice then he will be unplayable due to all the penalties he will be flagged for.

I legitimately want to know if what Dez Bryant wore for his visit is standard attire for NFL visits. He literally wore a tank top and cut off sweats. Is that normal?

Hard knocks episode 3 takeaways;

1) 1. So happy they introduced the real Bob Wiley...And his Wileyisms!! Historian, magician, anti-stretcher extraordinaire. I hope we get more next week.

2) I still love Todd haleys surliness. I can’t help but think of Eeyore when I hear his comments

he is a professional, hes going to say what he needs to say. His actions and words when he is not giving an interview TO ME say differently.

Look Vers, you like hue - that's cool. I think he is a wonderful human being, a great LEADER, and a great family man. I think as far as a HC goes, he is in over his head. You cant back every single thing he does. There are things I like, and things I dislike about him as a HC. I like he is a players coach, I like how he HANDLES players personally. I DO NOT like how he handles them on the field with his schedule and practices and tempo's, and lack of discipline with penalties - we have seen now for going on 3 years a lack of discipline when it comes to idiot flags. Bad time management, bad decisions during game time, etc. I think Hue is more suited as OC, then a HC. We have heard more than ONCE now how easy the practices are and how laid back they are. If you are 1-31, you practice hard.
