The #Patriots are getting close on a deal for #Browns WR Josh Gordon, source said. Not official yet but headed that way.

Good for them. He's worthless here.

If that helps them beat anyone else from the AFC North in the playoffs, go for it.

Highest bidder is all I'm asking (three 1st rounders smirk ).

I wish him the best. I really do. At some point, you have to draw a line in the sand, no matter how much talent someone has.

The Browns had their line, josh went over it. And I was one of his biggest advocates on this board. It was time for us to part ways.

Well, if Brady and Belichick can't straighten him out, no one can.

Hope we get a good asset for him, since there seems to be so much interest.

Aaaand, he owes us some loose change for Shelton. I predict they give us back our 2018 5th round pick from that trade.

I have mixed emotions about Gordon being traded unless the Browns suspect that Gordon has already fallen off the wagon or is damn close to it.

Is it too much to ask of Gordon, be on time and don't lie to us?

Showing up on Saturday, claiming you have a hammy bothering you..that was a BS move on Gordon's part. After putting up with Gordon's crap for so long, knowing the guy has the ability to one of the very best WRs in the NFL, yet can't get his freaking head screwed on straight.

It sucks for the Browns..but that seems to be par for the course in Cleveland. One way to look at it..we did ok without Gordon yesterday.

Hopefully the Browns get something for him.

Maybe Belichick is going to have Gordon move in with Tom Brady?

Brady has kids and a wife.

Would you really want Gordon to live w/your wife and kids?

He could always teach them how to be late, not be a good team mate, screw over your employer and waste your career. Who wouldn't want a role model like that around your children?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

He's a victim and we have no reason to move on from him.

Yeah, that is sarcasm.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

First of all, somebody on here mentioned that he already [explitive, past tense] on the Browns earlier today. Posted a video of him laughing at the TV saying the team lost trust in him.

Here's the thing, and I'd love to hear people more knowledgeable than I weigh in on it. Is going to NE really the best case scenario for these guys (guys like Coleman and Josh)? I get playing with Tom Brady is awesome for WRs, but playing on that team is SO much more than just catching passes from one of the greatest QBs ever, right? The whole culture is just so intense and demanding on so many levels. How can anyone expect a kid that walked into his coaches office throwing a temper tantrum about running with the 2's to survive, much less thrive in NE? How can anyone expect someone that just up and leaves TC with no warning and really not that great of an explanation, and who routinely shows up late (blah blah blah, not gonna rehash all of Gordon's issues) to stick in NE? Everyone knows it takes talent to win, but Bill B is a honeybadger, and if you don't conform, you get tossed out on your butt.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

He's 27, not a chance he makes the hall of fame. He is looking to get paid and when he does he will go back to being Josh even if he does manage to get it right in NE.

The hammy sandwich is more valuable.

Trade now agreed to: Patriots are sending Cleveland a 5th-round pick and if Gordon isn't active for 10 games, Patriots get back a late-round pick from Browns, sources tell ESPN.

As @rapsheet reported, Patriots were closing in on trade for Gordon.
Trade now official.

New Patriots WR Josh Gordon is healthy enough from his strained hamstring to play Sunday vs. the Lions, per source.

Full compensation trade update: Patriots send Browns a 2019 fifth-round pick for WR Josh Gordon and get back a 2019 seventh-round pick if he is not active for 10 games, source tells ESPN. Trade was supposed to be for a 6th-round pick, but Patriots don't have a 6th.

So, no NFC team was willing to offer a conditional 5th round pick? That was a little surprising, figured at least one NFC team would take a 5th rd stab at him.

A 5th isn't bad for a guy you were going to cut, and a guy who may not make it to next week based on his very troubled history.

Goodbye Josh. I wish that football had been one of the 3 or 4 most important things in your life.

I'm betting that being in the stability of the Patriots organization, after only being with the chaos of the Browns organization, will be very helpful for his football career.

Or he will be cut in two weeks.
