We need to fire Hugh Jackson because of this.

I hope somebody kicked him in the ass on the way out the door, so he might know what a kick looks and feels like.

I feel bad for Zane. That shouldn't happen, but it did. He will resurface.

As a Florida fan I was hoping for Caleb Sturgis to make our team....he didn't....he now kicks for the Chargers I wish Zane well.

I also wish Joseph kicks lights out.

NFL kicker is one of the rarest jobs in all of sports. Lot's of good kickers never get the chance. You have 32 available jobs in a position group where the established guy can kick for 20 years or more. Not many jobs open on a yearly basis.

Just keep kicking and hope you find you landing place.

Obviously I knew that , hence the question. That doesn't mean he never played road games in bad weather... That is why I asked. So factor that into your math.

Hard to believe the Browns would sign an average warm weather kicker who has never kicked in the snow.

I don't know where Phil played in high school, but he went to Texas for college.

Look how well he did in bad weather.

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM

My math was worse than yours in this case ... *L* ...

U said rain and wind ... they get plenty of that in fla ... thumbsup

The college season ends at turkey day or before that ... there’s hardly ever any snow that sticks by then .... and the bowls aren’t played in cold weather cities where there could be snow ...

He may have never seen snow much less played in it ... i don’t imagine too many kickers have coming out of college ...

Texas has snow, wind, rain, huricanes, tornados. That isn't exactly a weather friendly state.

I was just going to come on and say

This is the perfect opportunity for the Browns to stand by their player and NOT go out and quickly cut the kicker for missing a few kicks on a bad day.

What a way to say, we aren't going to overreact to the day to day politics of adversity, but we are going to stick with our team and, though maybe bring in some guys for tryouts, not just cut bait on Zane.

Given 16 hours to think of it, Zane Gonzalez is probably your best bet going forward on finding a guy who is going to right the ship and come out of this storm more reliable for it.

But I read, above, the Browns have waived Zane Gonzalez.

I was also going to consider changing my signature to

(It's been 3 days since the Browns have announced they are cutting a veteran player from their 53 man roster, ...) Josh Gordon.

But it appears with Zane Gonzalez.

It has Been ZERO DAYS since the Browns have announced they are cutting a veteran player from their 53 man roster,.

Will they ever learn?

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Since when does Texas have snow? ... u still drunk ... *L* ...

I lived there for two years ... one day the 6 year old daughter of the girl i was dating came in screaming ... ITS SNOWING ITS SNOWING ... i walked out and acted all excited thinking ... i can barely see the flakes ... *L* ...

Wind, rain, hurricanes and tornadoes ... yup ... they dont usually play in tornadoes or hurricanes ... there not real bright in Texas but they’ve learned over the years to not play football in hurricanes or tornadoes ... wink

I find it odd that so many are in favor of the cutting of Zane............for missing a few kicks............but defend a coach that is 1-31-1 over the last 2 plus seasons. Just seems odd to me.

I don't see the correlation, and I'm not going to get into a fire Hue debate... But we couldn't count on Zane to make kicks, as he showed on several occasions, so it's buh-bye.

We just cut a kicker who nailed 82% of his kicks in college for a guy who only made 69% of his college kicks, including being 50% over 40, and doesn't appear to have made a regular season kick because everything about him on the internet basically extends to losing every kicking competition he's been in.

You suit up in four days.

Sounds rational. Eh. Whatever. Welcome to the team.

Sure looks like snow in Texas to me. Link

Maybe you should have left your basement once in a while if you lived there.

Pretty sure they aren't seeing that in Florida.

Strikes me more as a play by him or his agent to try to wrangle an injury settlement or get on IR instead of being out of work completely.

Are you sure that the Browns knew he was hurt? Are you sure this isn't some BS made up by his agent? Are you sure he didn't hurt it during the game and didn't tell anyone?

What are you sure of?
