what do you guys think we can expect from Sexton's rookie season?
i think toward the end of the season, his numbers could be around 13-15 points, 4-5 assist, 2-3 rebounds.

I think he'll score a little more than that. He's a guy who will attack the hoop, and I think that will give him more opportunities, especially if we go all out fast pace.

I think he'll be 18/6/4 points assists rebound...probably average about a steal or so a game

I admit to being distracted while trying to watch this, but I swear the only time I heard Kyrie's name was when they showed him on the bench.

well, at least with JR still on the team, the season certainly won't be boring

Anyone following this Butler fiasco? He's holding that franchise hostage.
He's probably right about a lot of the things, but this is the NBA. If you're a super star, you have the leverage.
Plus, the team never gets full value for super stars, especially when they demand a trade through the media but damn, you aren't going to get jackrabbit when that star is showing up at practice and telling anyone he sees how they suck at their job.
I was sick of the Butler circus a few days ago, but man, this is getting interesting now. Jalen Rose is predicting a few fights at practice tomorrow.

It's crazy. Well, he's told the entire organization how he feels, he got to go now, right? Question is, who wants this poopshow in their locker room?

Butler is acting like this to get out of Minnesota. Theoretically he would be fine in a place that is prefers.

What's the goal for the Cavs this season (well, their goal versus your own goal)? Is it an 8 seed, contend but barely miss or lose enough to get a top 10 pick so we can keep it (reminder, the Hawks own our 2019 first rounder Cavaliers' if it falls outside the top 10).
Just wondering...

unfortunately, we have too much talent to tank properly. and honestly, i dont think its a stretch to say we can make the 6th seed.

which sucks because of the way things have fallen, if we fall out of the lottery we lose our first rounder...going to be hard to add talent without first rounders..I'm hoping some playoff team will give us a first at the deadline for korver

...I'm hoping some playoff team will give us a first at the deadline for korver I keep thinking the Lakers will be calling us as they progress. They'll see they have an outside shot at doing something and they'll need a bench, which they have none. I wouldn't be shocked to see a few current Cavs playing for the Lakers by the end of the season. Well, assuming we're not a lock for the playoffs, which I doubt.

Most of the Cavs have contracts that go beyond this season. That’ll be a no go for the Lakers.

A few of the Cavs have mostly non-guaranteed contracts after this season. But even then, they would still count something like 1m to 5m against next year's cap. I think Hill, Korver and JR fall in this category.

Wow, that's fantastic. These days, if a guy doesn't have the highest salary, he feels like he's insulted. It's ot like he's taking less, just a different structure .... but many players feel like they have to have ever increasing salaries, or they're being ripped off, or something.

76ers look sloppy, same with Kyrie (0-8). Boston is going to crush this year.

It was really nice to see LeBron and the Lakers lose the other night. They play Houston next so hopefully 0-2.
