That is really the only advantage is if we are truly interested in Riley/Campbell.

Having said that I don't think we did the to get a "jump" on the process. It was done because of the infighting stuff primarily imo.

Hopefully we're not including Jeff Fisher either.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Hue Jackson lost his brother and two weeks later lost his mother. A hour after hearing that news, he was back on the practice field at the scheduled time and coaching hard. We had a poster calling him weak after watching that particular episode.

Now, we have gloating over a man being fired and throwing classless insults at others.

This is the state of the fan base.

I know that it sounds great in theory, but that's the prime reason most teams wait until the end of the regular season to fire their HC.

We can, with permission... Now most teams might not give permission but once the playoffs start teams are often given permission so we could get a slight jump.

Firing Hue does nothing for winning this year.....probably makes it harder. The only legitimate reason was the "Toxic" environment described by Rapsheet and others. Firing Hue now won't help you win THIS year, and he was going to get canned at season's end regardless.

1988 was the last year Saunders was an HC, 30 years ago. He may have learned a trick or two along the way. I wonder why he was never given another opportunity?

I do not like to see anyone get fired whether a foundry worker, a nurse, a McDonalds worker etc. and I know Hue was going to lose his job and I feel it was past time but at least hue has financial stability and will land on his feet whether as a QB coach or an OC down the road and altough I am happy he is leaving Cleveland I do wish him and his family well ... thumbsup

Says the guy who called posters on this board "dumb-ass fans" is now talking about "classless insults"

I am sad today. I really liked Hue Jackson when he was hired. I hoped he would be the one. I think he handled the crap show he was given with class. I was very surprised the last couple weeks it seemed to start to get to him. The rumors about Haley being fired yesterday didn't help. It's a shame, but it isn't a surprise after yesterdays game and all the in-fighting this season. A crying shame...

You're just reaching for an emotional appeal because you were wrong about the guy all along. Always have been, still are apparently.

I feel bad for what happened to Hue and his family. He seems like a good man and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. But what happened with his family and the state of the Browns franchise are two different things.

We were told that this was going to be the greatest turnaround in sports history. I wasn't holding the season to that standard, even though those were Hue Jackson's words. Here we are, at 2-5-1 with three straight losses (two of them not being close) with infighting among the coaching staff. It was time to move on.

NFL Network is saying they fired Haley too. So both Hue Jackson AND Todd Haley are gone.

I wish we would have given him some time without Hue to see how things would work. It wasn't Haley who refused to even allow Mayfield to get any first team reps, it wasn't Haley who let the receivers out of practice constantly.

All I can go by is what I see...

how does that mean it was Dorsey decision? or that hes in his doghouse. your reaching bro.

Haslam probably wanted hue, Dorsey gave his input, and haslam then agreed.

Haslem is a billionaire who owns the team, dorsey works for him. its pretty simple.

Maybe this was the coming together of minds ..... Dorsey wanted Hue gone, and Haslem wanted Haley gone, so both are gone.

Bro please.

No one is gloating....we all saw this coming -and it was rightfully so.

What does his brother and his mother have anything to do with him being an efficient HC? It doesn't. For someone who screams "talk football" you surely dont want to talk football when it comes to Hue.

well looks like our sundays just opened up. Totally agree with Hue, but I would have left haley until season so we can atleast run our offense on sunday. Though I love the Saunders move. Dude is an offensive genius with one of the best resume's in the league. He can run that Coryell offense for baker since he already knows it i guess.

I will say I'm glad that we finally have a guy who's taking the initiative to protect his franchise. Baker will get the best shot of any QB we've drafted

I wouldnt even count Hues years under Sashi.
those teams werent built to win.
no head coach could have won with that lack of talent...it was darn near CFL level.

Chris Palmer was able to win 5 games with an expansion roster. If you think the roster the past two years was worse than 1999-2000, you're delusional.
