Haslams desire to touch everything whether right or wrong eclipses Hues. Take a step back James...

There might be one other person who sounds more unintelligent than Hue Jackson during pressers. And his name is John Dorsey.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I don't know if that speaks more on the organization, or Haley. I'm on the side of Haley.

Lol, indeed. I've thrown about a dozen of those plastic souvenir mason jars away. The double however, yes! And, the extra cheese cubes and green olives.

I watched the press conference and what a crock of crap.

Haslam laughing at questions. Talk of not tolerating discord while naming Gregg Williams the HC. LMAO Giving the OC to a guy who has never called plays in a real game. Repeating over and over that they are focused on this year.

I was hoping Dee brought some reasonableness to the Browns, but apparently not. Her absence from this PC spoke volumes. Tight lipped Jimmy is back running the show. I wanted to slap him across his pinched face.

And Dorsey? Uhmmmm...........you are not exactly creating a good environment for your prized qb.

The Browns are a freaking joke!

I didn't like the dodging of the questions about being a hands off owner and letting Dorsey do what he was hired for. "I don't understand the question"...

I know you ignore me and might have me on ignore, but what would you have done.....short of keeping Hue.

I have explained the hires. I can't help it is you can't see the logic.

Man, I go play a round of gold and all of this happens...going to be great reading for the next few hours....shoot....weeks.

Well he could have just stated the obvious ... I am the owner of this team.

But hey, at least you can't say that JH doesn't care about winning.

If that weren't true ... Hue would still be the HC today.

Dee Haslam has been heavily involved with the Browns since at least 2016: http://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland/post/...ew-browns-order

Sometimes it's not clear whose idea something is which is why I've often just referred to decisions made by ownership as ones made by the Haslams.

That's just a generality... I'm going to watch the press conference here in a little bit.

You were the unofficial leader of the Hue Jackson fan club and today's news hit you pretty hard. It's an emotional time but everything is going to be ok.

I had a different impression of the press conference. It is true that Jimmy was tight-lipped about the discord between Hue and Haley. He said there's nothing to be gained from getting into the details and there is a lot of truth to that. There are still eight games remaining and that's where the focus should be.

About not creating a good environment for Baker: it's not the ideal situation. Neither is a power struggle between the head coach and offensive coordinator. As Dorsey noted, the scheme is still the same, the QB coach who works with Baker on a day-to-day basis is still the same, the new offensive coordinator was promoted from within (and called the preseason game against Detroit, according to Jimmy.)

You know how I feel about Hue so no need to get into all that. I'm a little more surprised about Haley, but without knowing exactly what went down, it's hard to pass judgement on that.

I don't even care anymore. I've become numb to it. They've given up on this season. Hire a new coach at the end of the season, start all over again. Then in 2 years, rinse and repeat. It's never going to change. I doubt I'll even see a 5 win season again in my lifetime.

What respectable coach is going to want to come here when Jimmy fires coaches after 8 weeks? I don't see things ever getting better as long as Haslam is in charge.

My main reaction is .. I was hoping for moves at the trade deadline. Guess that's not happening now.

This is actually a pretty desirable head coaching job. There's a lot of excellent young talent at premier positions, including quarterback. Dorsey looks like the real deal as a GM and talent evaluator. The Haslams have at least been doing the big things right-- hiring Dorsey, firing Jackson (after likely giving him more time than every other NFL team would have-- frustrating, but surely a positive for a potential head coach.) It's a historic, storied franchise with a loyal fan base.

I can think of worse jobs opening up.

Expansion teams don't even do that bad-- literally none of them.
