We’re bad, but we aren’t 0-6 bad.

As I’ve stated, should’ve kept Blatt.

We should be in a better spot next year with more roster flexibility, which is better news

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It is soon IMO. Maybe something happened in house

Lue was never really a good coach. His rotations were horrible and his overall feel for the game was severely lacking. I understand that the Cavs have been dealing with injuries, but Cedi Osman is this year’s version of Delly. No reason in the world he should be a starter. KLove will never be THE GUY to help the Cavs to the next level. He’s soft, inconsistent when we need big games from him, disappears when we need a run and gets hurt a lot. Clarkson and Hill (or Hood) should be starting. TT is a huge waste of money, playing time and an offensive liability. Hopefully, Larry Drew recognizes that this team needs to change to compete. JR has been garbage, too.

This team looked better under drew last year than any point with Lue. Watching last night I was like how can these be nba sets. I run better sets in my sons 7th grade team. We are bad but as others have said, we aren’t 0-6 bad. Cedi Osman is horrible. He has horrible hands. He hustles but he’s not a starter yet. But I will wait and see what drew does . I said I wanted drew or bring Blatt back. Just glad the illusion that is Lue is done

Wow, I am shocked that Lue is gone already.

The front office and owner spoke about developing young players, and it does seem that Sexton is developing, and Osman looks like he has a real future.

You lose the best player in the universe, and there is going to be a massive adjustment.

I do like Drew though, and think that he's a high quality coach.

Drew deserves a shot I agree

Three or four go. A solid coach and a few new hungry faces might start to shift it around. Miss LBJ, but this start shows how much he was carrying this other baggage. We need a true center. Not missing Loo at all, but I was surprised at the timing. Thought if he was to go, well, it might have happened earlier.

I'm not sad to see Lue go.

I always felt like Blatt got fired because Lebron didn't like him, so they brought in Lebron's guy. (Lue). But the team was badly coached while Lebron was here, so it was all for naught.

Plus, the Championship we won, was done mostly under Blatt until he got kicked out the end of the year.

I am ok with with a fresh start with a new guy who doesn't have pressure from people like Lebron hanging over his head.

Maybe we can have some good ball.

I would like to see the team just try on defense.

That would be a good start for me.

I just hope they go about this better.

I don't understand thinking a team that is basically built around Lebron, would be any good without him. That's not to say we have bad players, but we have complimentary players.

They should have stopped with thinking this team could compete, and liquidated any assets they had. They can still do that, but now they are working against the deadline, and all the other teams looking to deal.

I hope they can actually come up with a plan for what they want to do, because they look inept right now. I get the pride thing, but overall health and outlook is a lot more important than thinking you're going to be ok as is, without the world's greatest player.

I thank Ty Lue for his time with the Cavs. I know that could not have been an easy job dealing with all of those personalities, and basically never getting any credit for anything, but man, tons of blame when things didn't go right.

I understand that Lue is not Greg Popovich, and Lebron was an overwhelming factor for the Cavs, but the narrative that he didn't do anything and it was all Lebron is pretty laughable. I thought he coached his ass off in the 2016 finals.

The good news just continues for Cleveland.

Kevin Love of Cleveland Cavaliers might be out more than month
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25116824/kevin-love-cleveland-cavaliers-more-month

The Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for the strong possibility that five-time All-Star forward Kevin Love could miss more than a month with an injured toe on his left foot, league sources told ESPN.

The Cavaliers and Love are consulting with doctors early this week to consider the limited short-term solutions available, but intense pain and the combination of an 0-6 start make it less logical for Love to push through the injury.

Rest would be the solution for Love's toe injury, which has persisted since the preseason.

He signed a new four-year, $120 million contract this past summer.

The loss of Love, 30, could send the Cavaliers into an even deeper spiral, leaving them without the team's most reliable offensive player.

Love has missed the Cavaliers' past two losses. The injury appears to have affected his performance; he is averaging 19 points and 13.5 rebounds but is shooting 32 percent from the field and 29 percent on 3-pointers.

Cleveland fired coach Ty Lue on Sunday, replacing him on an interim basis with assistant Larry Drew.

Well, that's one way to guarantee a top pick (and to keep it too). It sort of is "good news".

If you can, then by all means do. It's actually a nice experience, even if watching 'bad' NBA teams. One of the things that sticks out is how much faster and more physical the game is up close compared to how it looks on TV. They really are tremendous athletes.

We’re the only team in the league who hasn’t won a game.

This is why Love needs moved. He's made of glass, can't be option 1, and he's not dependable. He needs to be somewhere he can just be a big contributor but not the guy. I think the pressure of that is too much for him. I really like Love. I like his style of play and his attitude. We aren't winning anything with him as is, he's not getting any younger. Let him play for a contender and lets get some capital to start the rebuild

Good gawd dude. I get that you're having a bad week because you've chosen to die on Hue and Lue hill, but could you please stop making garbage up. You would have an aneurysm if someone else did this to you.

imagine wanting LeBron to play with this garbage. At least in LA he can make space jam 2. We blew our chance at establishing a dynasty by trading Wiggins and Kyrie for pennies. This is our chance to regroup again and make a pitch for LeBron in 2-4 years. Picking JAGs like Sexton will not help the situation.

Wiggins would not help, at least not what the league has seen of him so far. Wiggins has been kind of a disappointment. Heck, the owner said he wanted to see more from him. Sure, he said that and two months later gave him a max extension, but calling out a playing to the media means something isn't right.
Heck, Butler has called him out numerous times. He can light up the scoreboard here and there, but he never "takes over" a game. Also, he can't play defense based on what people projected him to be (though he has been improving) and I dare you to find another 6'8" SF that rebounds worse than him. Fans in Cleveland would be crushing him nightly for playing with no effort.

As for Kyrie, beating a dead horse here, he wanted out. NBA players have all of the leverage. We could have forced him to stay, but he'd be unhappy and tear apart the team from within. Look at Butler in Minnesota, he's going to be traded. They're waiting for the best deal, but even then, it won't be equal value. Teams never get equal value when a star wants out. Every other teams knows it. Minnesota can try to keep Butler, but it's a toxic situation. You can't compete in the NBA when your locker room is toxic. He's called out KAT and Wiggins as guys that don't have heart. Heck, even the owner said publicly he's going to be traded and it's just a matter of time.

Also, Lebron signed a 4-year deal in LA (I may be wrong, I don't know if there's an early opt-out for Lebron.). If he returns, which I still think he will, it will only be in 4 or more years. He can't come back home sooner unless there is a trade, which is never going to happen.

I don't know about Sexton, I've heard okay things, but he needs to play more. I'm still little upset they didn't accept the offer to land Luka Doncic. All we had to do was say yes to a few bad contracts. So what, we're already loaded with them.

meh....just rambling thoughts on a Tuesday.

We would not have won a championship without Love. I don't consider that trade to be having traded Wiggins for pennies. (and I really wanted to find a way to keep Wiggins when we drafted him, but understood that we had to give quality to get quality)

I don't think that Sexton is JAG, either. He's young, but he has skills that cannot be taught.

Kyrie wasn't a superstar as a rookie. He shot a lot, but he was most effective when driving the rim. His jump shot was definitely a work in progress. Sound familiar?

I don't know if Sexton will ever make it to the "star" level, but he has a lot of skills, is talented, and I think that he will defend better than Kyrie ever did.

Will he be Kyrie? Probably not. How many players are Kyrie? However, Kyrie wanted out, and you want players who will buy in, not guys who whine about having a bigger star on the team.

I do think that Sexton can be a plus level player, who also plays defense. Maybe not a superstar, but a star level player in a year or 2.

This group was fun to watch tonight. Higher energy level than last year. And I saw some defense, but that can be corrected later.

Welcome win! a TEAM win. What a concept.
