So for this half-season remaining, I hope we see progress; you do as well. New game responsibilities. We want results. So if we are to be judged as better, what progress will you need to see? I started this threader Atlanta, but move it if it fits better elsewhere. Curious because a number are mentioning some backsliding, underachieving, lack of effort, or words to that effect in diverse threads. What would show some of that culture change we been trumpeting around some forums? My take is pretty simple: More sacks, More tackles (earlier and especially for loss), More points output, Less penalties.

Normally I'd agree with HotByYoungTurk above that it's all about wins, but we are in a special circumstance (what else is new?).
Therefore I'd say Baker getting better each week is the key. By week 16 I'd like to see him properly calling audibles, coverage, beating the blitz (yes even when we miss a block, Brees/Rivers/Brady level QBs still eat that up with at worst a quick throwaway to avoid the hit).
The progress of Baker is going to dictate the entire thing.
If he progresses we'll be okay.
If the 52 other roster members progress and Baker doesn't we'll still suck.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

But did they do that in their rookie year? You can't compare a rookie to 3 of the best QB's to play over the last 20 years.
Well, you can, it just isn't realistic.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

And I would add that those three have confidence that there dump off guy will be there I'm not sure Baker does?
Seems like other teams always have that one guy waiting for the dump off I'm not sure we do.

We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

I hope you all realize how well he is playing already...agreed progress is expected and actually being seen with every start.
jmho
I concur. Granted last week was against a poor defense, but that’s what you are supposed to do against poor defenses. And, even against a poor D, I’ll take 300/2/1.
We have to remember that BM’s game is predicated on the play of everyone else on the offense. All the pieces/parts gotta work together.

Sorry, I didn't mean to say he should ALWAYS do it like them, I just mean we should see him start to make those plays a sometimes. Those guys around game 14 started to do it sometimes.

To me it does...actually looking forward to the last six games.

I can only imagine what Dorsey will do with another draft and FA period. Solid QB play and looking like our long sought after franchise guy. Chubb is the bell cow and lately has silenced those that say that is all he is. 96 yarder tells it all. Ward is our shutdown for years to come. Caldwell is slowly improving and flashes.
That's just the rookies.
We gonna enjoy this team for many a year !!!
You dont have to win every game just the next one!
Fewer penalties.. check Move the ball early and often.. check TDs instead of FGs.. check Defensive stops.. check Making plays to finish games.. check Win.. check
In absolute terms, today was one game.... but if you are looking for progress, today was a very nice step in the right direction.

Actually a record breaking 93 yarder...SHHH...he's on a roll
He's seeing the future ..... a 96 yard run this coming Sunday.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Actually a record breaking 93 yarder...SHHH...he's on a roll
or, 92 yards. Whichever.
I have to admit, for a brief moment, when we took over inside our own 1 yard line, then had consecutive false starts... I was wondering what a 99 yard+ 2 feet+ 10 inch slant pass to Calloway would look like.
