Let's see...

Mayfield's won 3 times already
Ward's won twice
I guess Chubb gets his 2nd rookie of the week this week...

Sounds fair

On a separate note: Why am I starting to like Greg Robinson? Did he finally decide to play with the otherworldly talent he showed in college.

Such a strange sensation.

Saw a lot of people tweet during the game about the call. Don't have any issue with the call. I have an issue with the decision by Hilliard to actually throw that ball lol.

Every year we rip the Browns for not emptying the bag of tricks in another lost season. So were going to rip them for doing it because it didn't work. I love our fanbase but wow
I was going to say something similar, glad I read through the thread first. Thanks.

I know others have mentioned it, but I'm happy about our penalty totals dropping the last two weeks. It's like night and day so far.

Also, I forgot to give a shout out to our O-line.

I liked Hue and felt he was dealt a bad hand with the gutting of the team but maybe he was more of a problem than most of us thought and TH also. The O has been much better since the change and the other 2 units played well today. Let's hope they continue to improve the rest of the season.

I agree. It’s not a valid excuse of course, but Collins reminds me of those players who only show up when the team is good. It’s infuriating, cause he was a damn good LB when he was playing for the patriots.

Under Kitchen, Baker is 46/62, 513 yds, 5 TDs, and 1 pick.

Callaway has six games to add his name to that list. I think that he is starting to do the little things that could pay off here in the not so distant future.

He is a rookie I think he has potential and will get better every year. With Higgins back and perriman it is an ok group. I didn't see a dropped pass today.

I can tell we must have played a really good game because the things I want to critical about are pretty nit picky... which means everything else went pretty well.. so I'll save the nit picking for a day or two and just enjoy the win.

Baker contexts with 9 different receivers with but 17 completions without a single drop pass. Amazing!

I like the 3 RB formations much better than the 3 TEs, though they actually thudded up some defenders today. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the "Cerberus" offense. I'd probably use Landry in place of Hilliard for the trick play throws.

The secondary looked great before we went prevent. There should be a coverage sack stat. Randall showed how much we missed him against KC. Carrie had his best game as a Brown.

Was nice to see more of a rotation on the D line.

Baker's placement was on point this week.

Carrie - played great
Ward - played great
Schobert - played great
Collins - actually gave 100%
Zettler (who is he) - played great

OL except for 1 play by Robinson played great, just wish they would get a better push
Chubb - played great
Baker - played great
Perriman- played great, maybe we gotta steal here
Kitchens - except for 1 play, really good game calling.

How do the refs miss an Obvious holding call on Garrett at the end of the game, it was so obvious!

If they keep playing for GW, I see no reason why they shouldn’t keep him and Kitchens.

They didn't, they purposely let him get held all game every game. We are the Browns. It's the same reason Joe Haden mugged our WR to prevent a TD in the Steelers game, they could go offsides to block a kick, Raiders spot, Raiders fumble, 2 helmet hits on Baker no call, the BS PI against the Falcons, etc etc etc It's not just an isolated incident as some would believe.

No idea why, hopefully soon they call plays our way so I can see a winning season before I die.

I cant remember the last time we won and the last few minutes were not stressful .. winning by two scores is a foreign luxury

If our team keeps playing like this... I'm all in on retaining the coaching staff. The team's last game under Hue... you could tell they gave up.

The team is totally playing on pride and if they continue to play this way could win 3-4 more.

I will share my thoughts before reading those of others.

- This was a "real" win. There was no call that went our way to tip the scales, no luck. We went out there and straight up beat Atlanta. Matt Ryan can put it all on the Falcons and not give us any credit, but, dude, we flat out beat you.

- Second week in a row with minimal penalties. The only one of consequence was the PI on Carrie which was questionable. Even that one announcer thought so.

- I'll admit Atlanta's O scared me. Ryan, Jones, Sanu, Ridley. On our side, Mitchell and Gaines out, Ward dinged up. BBC (Browns Blown Coverage) looking bad. But, we handled them. Ryan had some yards, but the D came up huge. Carrie had a nice game. We contained their TE - under 60 yards. TEs have been one of our Achilles Heels (no offense, Dez).

- Tackling seems better as well. The only poor attempt at a tackle I remember was on Atlanta's last TD. Fourth and goal from the three, Ryan pressured hard. Throws a prayer which the guy catches outside the 1. Peppers there to make the play from behind, but instead of wrapping up he goes for a kill shot. It worked for him on the previous possession, but that guy was a lot smaller. That last TD should not have happened. I know we still won, but that was just a stupid decision by Peppers.

- I do not remember Bake getting sacked, outside of runs for losses.

- Having us run the ball three times to get Atlanta to burn all 3 timeouts with 4 minutes left was some smart football. We were not expecting a first down, we wanted them to burn the timeouts. Bake almost blew that by running for the sidelines but luckily he was knocked backwards before he crossed the sideline.

- Bake had a great game. Super efficient. 3 incompletes, 3 TDs, 0 picks. Not a ton of yards but we didn't need them. It was really good yardage for 20 attempts. Went with what they gave us. Great game by Bake. I was impressed.

- Spread the ball well, too. Over the last few games Njoku has shown good hands. Tough catches in traffic.

- And Perriman has been fine as well. He was a low risk acquisition. At the time I said that I would wait and see how this would work out. I know its early yet, but I have had no issues with Perriman. Safe to say he will produce more this year than Dez.

- Chubb. Wow. I liked Hyde in that he would continue to get yards after contact. Chubb does this as well.

- Kicker was 4/4 on XP. The fact that I have to point this out says what I think of our kicker.

- Williams is 1-1 as our coach. Time for a statue.

- We lost a game we should have won (Oakland). Now we have taken one not many thought we would. Two of the guys on the pregame show picked Atlanta as their locks. Sorry, guys.

- I enjoyed the game from my tiki bar at the isle. Maybe some will stop by again? We are moving the right direction.

I found it interesting that Ward was more focused on Ridley that Jones. WE must have been more wary of him.

I think we used a group effort on Julio and let Ward take Ridley away by himself. Solid idea, I think.

Yeah, same one that Bill B often employs

I would do this every single game where teams have more than one great receiver.

I would too. You could tell ATL was trying to focus on the TE because of it

Julio Jones has lost a step. He looks like a tight end these days.

I was against firing Hue Jackson but man, you can see how terrible our game plans were. Two weeks of using Duke Johnson….even when they got a little too cute is light year better than where we were. I genuinely believe that Haley was throwing the Big Ben playbook at Baker and expecting him to get it.

Simplified reads, timing throws, wrinkles not seen on tape. Where has this been all season?

The entire season was a mess until they fired Hue.

1. No first team reps in camp – why? Idiotic in hindsight.
2. The usage of Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson…..mystifying
3. Hue Jackson had many a “pet project” during his time with the Browns, Terell Pryor, Cody Kessler but the worst of them all may have been Harrison….
4. Haley’s offense was having Baker make multiple reads, as a rookie that is just not something he is capable of doing every down.
5. How has the kicking gotten better after Hue was exited? Like really even the kicking?
6. The constant stupid things said to the media. I’ve never seen a fired head coach go on media tour like this but it drives home something I’ve always said about Hue….the guy isn’t very media savy. He would constantly stick his foot in his mouth by being too nice with the media….the whole “Baker won’t be getting any first team reps this season”…..was a monstrosity of a foot.

I know it was the Falcons who aren’t very good but does anyone believe that the offense we saw under Hue and Haley has Baker in a spot like that?

I think that now that GW is the HC, our D will improve and more than improve our D will be more coherent with our O.

It was clear that the D was more cerebral, better paced, not so many risks. That's why Ward was not covering Julio, because we were playing less aggressive with fewer players blitzing.

I liked what I saw... Its like GW has used the 1,5 seasons he got to prepare the team, and now he is making use of it.

Only thing I honestly didn't like is the tendency to cut and hit instead of tackling... IMHO GW should move away from it and from the bounty gate mentality.

I am of the opinion that Ward was not covering Jones because Jones isn't the best WR on that roster anymore.

jones leads the nfl in receiving yards, as well as receiving yards per game.

we played a crap ton of zone against jones, who by the way, even though it was a quiet one, still had over 100 yards receiving.

so yea, i disagree 100% with your comment.

Perhaps what I meant to relay was that he is not the best deep threat on the roster anymore. He has lost a step. He is 3rd in the league in targets so, yeah he is going to put up numbers.
