Bro, I just looked it up. You're gonna get a kick out of this one.
Browns leading receivers in 2017:
Duke: 693 yards
DeValve: 395 yards
Njoku: 386 yards
that's abysbmal
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Thanks ... i guess ... *L* .... I knew it was bad last year but not that bad ... that goes in the category of “things you would think are statistically impossible until the browns prove they aren’t” ....
At least i know why i wasn’t impressed with Seth last year ... *LOL* ...

No lie... I read it the first time and thought "it's a wonder we even won a game". Ouch.

"Blake Williams, his linebackers coach and the son of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, simply didn't see him as an outside lienbacker.
"He's not a 3-4 outside linebacker," the younger Williams said during training camp. "That's kind of what he played in college, that's kind of what he played last year, but that's not what his body is."
Williams saw Schobert's athleticism and saw a guy who should be in the middle of a 4-3 -- or maybe he tracked down some youth football tape. That's the last time Schobert said he played middle linebacker."
I am excited to watch Joe this year and see just how much (if any) he improved his strength, and if he can clean up his missed tackles.
I wonder how people feel about him now?
Reading back through the posts many seem to think he's overrated and undersized.
If he's not the top MLB in this league, he's definitely top 5.
He's our Baker Mayfield of the defense. The future is bright. I'm counting on Dorsey not to screw it up.
If I had to guess, I'd think Dorsey views Schobert as a foundational piece on defense, along with Garrett, Ward, and perhaps a couple others.
I doubt he's thinking of our 25 year old Pro Bowl caliber linebacker, we have to get rid of that guy.
Look for the team to extend Schobert. It won't necessarily happen (it takes two..), but he was drafted in 2016, so he'll be eligible for a new contract after the season.

Resigning Joe is a must. You saw the difference when he wasn't in there.
I don't see him as a guy that would want to leave. I think his heart is with this team, and hes ready for the turnaround.
I honestly think adding one more versatile LB is necessary for us. Teams attack our LBs

dev...if you did your homework, you would see that Schobert is having an off year, ranked 43 in combined tackles in the NFL with 80.
Last season, Schobert had 144 tackles, tied for #1 in combined tackles with 144.
NOTE: Schobert missed games 7,8,9..dealing with a hamstring injury. Though he played the last 4 games, he still does not look 100% to me. IMO, Schobert has been slowed with the hammy, affecting his production.
Jamie Collins is leading the team in tackles, ranked 31st in the NFL with 86 combined tackles.
Schobert did miss some games early in the season with
He has 80 tackles in 10 games, that's average of 8 tackles a game.
He has missed 3 games - opn average that 24 tackles. 80 +24 would be 104 tackles averaged out if he played the whole season. then with 3 games left, that's another 24 tackles averaged out, to give him 128 for the year on average
You are also not taking into account that we TURN THE BALL OVER ALOT. resulting in less plays from the opposing offense, resulting in less opportunities for tackles.

Schobert has become even more than I thought he would be, coming from Wisconsin ... and I really liked him when we drafted him.
I would add Randall as a foundational piece on defense, and he might just he the vocal leader of that unit.

Schobert is definitely the QB of our defense. we need a cerebral leader to make pre-snap calls etc. He is someone we can build a defense around. Our defense looks way different with him vs with him on the sideline.
i did notice a big difference when he missed time. i also think he'll be better with a better replacement for Collins

Schobert was basically Kuechly light in the Texans game. Every 1st and 2nd down he was diagnosing the play and getting guys in the right spots. We just couldn't execute and get off the field on 3rd down that game.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

I think we might need to draft a big-time LB, if we get the chance.
agreed

If our defensive coordinator is someone other than Gregg Williams next year, we will be playing two or three linebackers much less. If that’s the case then Schobert and Kirksey will be just fine.

No they will not, both are average Lb's at best.
Excuse me if I don’t trust your woeful evaluation skills.

I think the ones you shouldn't trust are your own. The amount of times you have been wrong is staggering.
How many times have you been wrong and I've been right?
You must have a problem remembering sfuff, I know that I do sometimes when I forget my medication.
Schobert is one of the best MLB in the NFL. Our OLB need help, though.
I said it before, and I'll say it again .. a guy like Devin White would be a huge help for our defense. I would say he would be a bigger help in the draft than a DT.

So who sits next year the draft pick or Kirksey? We basically only play two linebackers right now and would play two even less with a new coordinator.
