Spags would be a good fit too and his personality is a lot like GW's as well.
Joseph is a 3-4 guy but a Wade Phillips disciple, so he might be able to, but I wouldn't call that a certainty. I've never seen a person adapt a defense to its personnel better than what Wade Phillips has done with the Rams. If you can figure out how to get Wade Phillips or Bill B to be our DC, we'll go on a Superbowl run. I think part of GW's magic was that we aren't built like most defenses. Schwartz would even be a close 3rd, but I think the odds of getting him are about the same.

I *think* Jim Schwartz is in his last year with the Eagles as DC. I would guess Philly wants to keep him, but there were some reports of problems between him and Pederson last year. Winning the SB may have healed that, though. I am almost positive that I will be alone on this [at least admitting to it,] but it never ceases to amaze me how so many fans and media types thinks firing coaches is such a great thing.
Faces come and go. Schemes change. The excitement grows in the fan base. Rosters change to fit the new guys. The team struggles. The same fans who wanted the last guy[s] gone and were thrilled by the news guys, switch course again and start calling for more changes to the coaching staff.

How did you come up with this list? Kirby Smart is not leaving UGA anytime soon. I doubt Venables would either, he just signed a big contract, but you never know with the chance to go to the NFL. The list are teams with that I think have aggressive style defenses like GW's and young and up and coming DC's. I don't watch a huge amount of college football so there are plenty of guys I probably missed. These are just guys I can think of.

You're not the only one Vers, but I'm okay with the offensive side. I'm sure he's going to bring in guys that fit. It's the Defensive side I worry about and I'm really glad we are getting a change at Special teams.

Hue fired coaches... and as you say a clean slate.. The guys who were on the 1-15 and 0-16 seasons needed to go. Even the 2nd half winning felt good even though it wasn't against teams that were all that good except the Win against the Ravens.

I'm guessing you didn't like Wylie because of what went down a in 2017, but man, the OL was playing outstanding this year. I think our OL was actually one of the better lines in the league this past season. Surprised the hell out of me.
I'm very concerned about the defense. I pray we don't drastically change schemes again.

I'm very concerned about the defense. I pray we don't drastically change schemes again. Nah, I like Wylie and agree the line was playing awesome. I think Dorsey was looking for leakers though and knew about at least one of them.

As far as the new OC goes, it's not as important as the DC, but still interesting. They don't need some older OC with a lot of experience running his own system that might start up a power struggle with Freddie. He needs someone that is on the same wavelength as himself, and Baker.
Byron Leftwich could be a possibility. I know there are rumors Arians is trying to hire him, but I think it's for passing game coordinator instead of OC, so maybe Kitchens could get him as OC. (Assuming they got along well in Arizona.)
Or maybe a college spread/air raid OC that could come in and help incorporate some of those concepts, but still be ok with letting Freddie run the offense. I would say Jake Spavital, but it looks like Kliff Kingsbury is already trying to hire him.

Gregg the intern head coach did well... Gregg the defensive coordinator left something to be desired... thankful for what he did for the team overall this year but think our defense really needs to improve... we did very well with turnovers but very low in league regarding yards and points...
