love how the left preaches equality, inclusiveness, and tolerance - yet are perfectly ok with a group of adult men harassing teens calling them gay slurs and racist remarks. Anyone want to report the real story?
The left on this board has no problem calling people racist and bigots daily, yet when they see racist and bigots on clear plain cut video harassing teenagers that they don't agree with, silence. . . . smh.

You do realize you are the one using those words in almost every one of your posts these days right?
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Thomas Jefferson.

These are a great bunch of kids. They were yelling to girls that rape is fine if you enjoy it. No wonder Trump invited them to the White House. They think alike.

Trump's fault for creating the hat and what it stands for... And it's not 'Make America Great Again'. This is the most asinine and ridiculous statement in the whole thread. Why? Trump made it a symbol of hate and bigotry. It's no better than a swastika in the upcoming history books. I've watched for 30 years as the left has compared every republican they don't like (which is all of them) to Stalin, the Nazis, or the Klan... it's like it's the only weapon in your arsenal.. Rather than saving it for really extreme cases, it's the go-to... Reagan, Bush I and II, Cheney, Newt, Boehner, SC nominees, Secretaries of state and defense.. all of them, go right to the Stalin/Nazi/Klan reference.. it would be funny if it wasn't so sad. 75-80 MILLION PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD DIED TRYING TO DEFEAT THE SWASTIKA and you are claiming some kind of equivalence with a stupid red hat that only really poses a threat to the person caught wearing it? I need a term stronger than idiotic... the only thing that rivals the absurdity of this President is the absurdity of those like yourself.

This is NOT the same school. At the end of the article.... At the time, a spokesperson for the Diocese of Covington said the students' speeches were not submitted on time and "were political and inconsistent with the teaching of the Catholic Church," assertions Bales denies. lol trippling down on a mistake by bringing up a different school's issue. Truly amazing.

Seems like they realize their attacks on the boys have failed and been shot down, now they are trying to validate their...shoddy....reporting by attacking the school. They have low.

Some people that are Christians also have no room or are willing to be inclusive to other religions. Of course some of them don't claim to either.

But we have one as vice president. I think he's a little more than Joe Somebody. I'm just wondering if you feel that if we put the ten commandments in government places should we also let Muslims put passages from the Koran there as well?

Don't make me try to stick up for a religion - it wont get far. But go through the threads and you will see Pence getting slammed for some of this religious beliefs on here, while no one says a word about the religion that throws gays off of rooftops, in fact - they praise them as peaceful and progressive. As far as the 10 commandments go - we have church and state yes, but its a fact that our country and its laws were founded by Christian thinking beings. most laws have religious ties to them one way or another . Murder, theft, etc.) all come from type of religious teaching. Edit to add : I don't think you should be calling your biggest ally in the middle east evil - just my opinion.

I need a term stronger than idiotic... the only thing that rivals the absurdity of this President is the absurdity of those like yourself. No offense my friend, but I think you're telling on yourself a bit with this post. I completely agree, that liberals are too quickly to call Cons "Nazis" or "KKK" members and not only does it kill our concept of what fascism looks like, it also kills our concept of racism. I believe the logic works as, as long as you are not a Nazi, you are not a fascist and cannot be one no matter what. We have lost our memory of Spain, Italy and other European, Asian and South American fascist governments. The same idea lies with the KKK. Every act of racism now needs both the act and a celebration of the act, like a burning cross and a group photo. Our ideas of racism being structural or subconscious has pretty much been obliterated because now you need a hood to actually be racist. This language game of linking everyone to the worst has destroyed our ability to think beyond it. So even if we see markers of fascism, which you obviously see under Reagan and Cheney, especially considering their foreign policies, or racism, which you see in a lot of cases, people cannot truly articulate their position. To get back to where I said, that you're telling on yourself, is that it's not uncommon or exclusive to the libs. Cons do it just as well. You kinda admitted it when you included Stalin on your list with the KKK and Nazis. I don't like Stalin, so I will not get into a debate about whether him and communism belong up there. I will say that no liberal will criticize the left for being too far left. That is inherently a right wing criticism of American Presidents to the left of them. That they are too far left. Democrats hate Bernie and AOC, but they'll never compare them to Stalin. However, I constantly saw pictures of Obama together with Marx and Stalin, sometimes Lenin and Mao, but never Che.

Cov Cath kid yells "It's not rape if you enjoy it." at a bunch of teenage girls before the natives got there.
Of course the little craphead stepped up to him and sneered at him until his bus arrived. That's just false, the guy walked up to him, the kid didn't walk up or step up or anything. Others in the native crowd can be heard telling the boys that they need to "go back to Europe" and nothing they say is important because they are white. Or he ask the kids "we have a demonstration and you come here and do this?" The kids ask "do what" and he replies, "you being white that's all you have to do" - That's from the native group. I would post the video, but it would get banned due to the language in the background. You can search it if you want. The native group was not what you claimed. All I know is, if a grown ass man walked up to me beating a drum in my ear, telling me to go back to Europe - I would have dropped him. The kid that smiled show great restraint for not doing so. He was calm and collective. You see an arrogant smirk, I see a kid scared a grown man is in his face and a nervous smile of pure emotion and adrenaline come out. This is mainly false. You can see Phillips walks through the crowd and the kid steps up to him around 1:09:13 into the video, which I have watched multiple times. The kid refuses to move and stares down the elderly man. As for the other point, there aren't multiple people. There's one guy who gets into an argument with a student. The student tells them to "leave America" at which point the native tells the student exactly what you said, "go back to Europe", including telling the kid that his family has only been here for two or three generations and that his has been here for thousands of years. I'm not sure if you're trying to lie or accidentally confused the two Native Americans. The one who played the drums and sang his song of peace, only did that. He never told anyone to go back to Europe. I'm also a little disappointed that you believe violence is the answer in this solution. I don't see just one kid with an arrogant smirk on his face trying to goad a fight. I see thirty kids with arrogant smirks on their face. Goading an old man into trying to fight. You can even hear the Convington kids warn each other not to touch him. They know they can't make the first physical move. That's why they would rather mock his song and do football chants. Typical punk move. You can even see a small group of them earlier in the day verbal accost other protectors outside of this one hour time frame. All in all, I think we failed these children. Political discourse has turned into a blood sport. These kids came to DC prepared to attack anyone and everyone who disagrees with them. That's not on them. These are learned behaviors and they're teenagers. Facts get ignored on this forum. I should've known better. Ya'll love your echo chamber.

I wasn't "telling on myself" intentionally but I can see how you picked up on that.. and it wasn't something I was trying to avoid because I agree with you. If the left proposes any social program reform, no matter how minor, the right immediately says we are on our way to becoming Venezuela... The habit of pulling the most extreme "end game" to combat anything we disagree with is absolutely NOT something that is limited to the left.

It was actually founded on freedom of religion. This nation wasn't founded until 1776 and the law of the land is based on the constitution. If you mean the people who migrated here without the proper paperwork or actual legal status in the 1600,s you would be correct.
Point being, most Christians would be outraged if you suggest that every other religion should have just as much right to use public ground to display their religious teachings and documents on equal footing to the Christian religion.
Yet many of those people will scream how the constitution is to be strictly adhered to and the law of the land. While that very same constitution gives every religion equal protection under law.

It was actually founded on freedom of religion partly, more so the colonies being sick of the king pressing his thumb on their lives with taxes and to protect the natural rights of life and liberty (given to them by their GOD). The founders yes, wanted all religious freedoms, my point however is ,that the ideas and laws they made, were based on their religious teachings.

Either you see the Constitution as a living document word for word or you don't. And people need to be careful when doing that. One can't claim it's a word for word living document when it comes to the second amendment then say freedom of religion is based in Christianity alone.

One can't claim it's a word for word living document when it comes to the second amendment then say freedom of religion is based in Christianity alone. I said it came from their religious teachings, it did. Just because it was based on their teachings, doesn't mean they couldn't or wouldn't afford religious freedoms to others. I never said it was soley based on their religion, I said it was based in part. Everything we do as humans on earth, is based on our teachings, religion, or beliefs. Our "moral" code comes from somewhere, and its religion in its history - even if we do not follow or believe in god. Someone in our family did, and raised us to with those guidelines and morals from what was passed down to them. which was based off religion. I and you can hate that - I am not a religious person, by any means. But I am able to understand that how we were raised and how we have started and grown as a nation has come from religious teachings and beliefs. Thousands of years of programming was not lost when they wrote the doc. JMO.

Actually, freedom of religion and the separation of church and state has more to do with the British monarchy afterm Henry VIII. Henry 8th became protestant, and purged catholics. His son, Edward 6th followed suit, but was controlled by his advisors. Lady Jane Grey, also protestant, was only in power for 9 days before being deposed by Mary I, who being catholic purged protestants. Then came Elizabeth I, who also purged catholics. To keep this short, just about every 3rd British monarch changed the religion and purged the other side. That has more to do with our separation of church and state and freedom of religion than anything.

I would agree with both you and will that is the basis of it.
They knew from experience what it felt like to have your beliefs marginalized. How much it means to have the freedom to believe as you feel is right.
That's also why I feel it was written to give equal rights and say from all religions and not just to self professed Christians.

The general populace was converting from one religion to another every several years, or hiding their religious affiliation.

I see the media frenzy hasn't found anything else more exciting yet.. they will. The event happened, the event was a shame, it appears from all accounts that a lot of people could have/should have handled it better.. so the bulk of the reporting on the actual story is over, so let's dig into the kids, the school, the parents, the Isreal group, the Native American guy... let's see if we can tear them all down in the process, depending on which side you want to "win"...

‘MAGA’ teen’s family hires high-profile libel attorney By Yaron Steinbuch January 25, 2019 Nick Sandmann during the controversial standoff in Washington, D.C. Nick Sandmann during the controversial standoff in Washington, DC YouTube The family of a Catholic school student at the center of a confrontation with a Native American elder in Washington, DC, has hired a high-profile attorney, according to a report. L. Lin Wood, who is known for aggressively pursuing libel and slander lawsuits against media outlets, “is committed to bringing justice to 16-year-old Nick Sandmann and his family,” the family’s other lawyer, Todd McMurtry, said in a statement, according to WCPO. Sandmann’s family has already hired the Louisville-based public relations firm RunSwitch PR. The Atlanta-based Wood represented JonBenet Ramsey’s brother in a $750 million defamation suit that accused CBS of ruining Burke Ramsey’s reputation after a TV series suggested he killed his 6-year-old sister. The terms of the settlement reached this month were not disclosed. Wood also represented the family of Richard Jewell — who was wrongly accused after the 1996 Olympic park bombing — in a libel case against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. In 2011, the Washington Post described Wood as a trial attorney who has “carved out a successful career representing the high-profile and falsely accused, often seeking eye-popping damages for those he believes have been libeled or slandered in the press.” At the time, Wood defended Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, who had been facing accusations of sexual harassment by four women that torpedoed his campaign. Former CBS news anchor Dan Rather once dubbed Wood the “attorney for the damned.” When asked if Sandmann’s family is considering suing media outlets, McMurtry told the Enquirer by email: “The Sandmann family has no further comment this evening other than to say all options are on the table.” Sandmann traveled with his classmates from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky to DC to take part in an anti-abortion rally on Saturday. Later that day, they were caught on video at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, where members of a fringe religious movement called the Black Hebrew Israelites hurled insults at them. Native American activists who had participated in an Indigenous Peoples March, including Nathan Phillips, then entered the crowd in what the Omaha Nation elder described as an effort to defuse the situation. Phillips played a traditional drum and sang as he walked through the Covington group. At one point, Sandmann, wearing a “Make American Great Again” cap, was recorded smiling while standing toe to toe with Phillips. The boy wrote in a later statement that he “believed that by remaining motionless and calm, I was helping to diffuse [sic] the situation” — and said he meant no disrespect. Phillips, however, said he felt blocked and intimidated. In an interview on NBC’s “Today” show, Sandmann said he’d like a sitdown with Phillips, who has offered to visit the Kentucky school to lead a dialogue about cultural understanding https://nypost.com/2019/01/25/maga-teens-family-hires-high-profile-libel-attorney/
