Maybe he's just a major league douchebag. The very same guy who tried to face-stomp Browns punter, Spencer Lanning, who had fallen down trying to tackle him on a punt return. Maybe you're right and he needs help. Or maybe I'm right and he needs his ass kicked.
Maybe those "doucebags" you talk about need help as well. We have only scratched the surface of mental health. Comments like these, are what keeps stigmas alive, and keep people from seeking the help they need. But keep on keeping on tough guy.
Stigma attached to mental health issues? No, but there are pretty strong stigmas attached to shoving the mother of your child to the ground or kicking a man in the face, and rightfully so.
Sometimes people are just a-holes and that's the only stigma that needs to be attached. Like me for example.
Oh don't sell yourself short. You might even be an aaa-hole.
J/K ..... I have been waiting for someone to say what you said so I could use that.
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

1. Who the heck was Lanning for the life of me I can't remember him...lol
2. Keep in mind a run like that is all instinct and not premeditated. What was the intent...definitely nastiness...but how can that surprise anyone as that is all we have gotten from the Steelers in our days of woes...a bunch of nastiness.
3. Keep in mind the pregame talk and HYPE - especially by a ST coach as you try to get your guys in a disciplined but violent this is your opportunity to show us all how Dangerous a player you are. That is a Special Team environment. Make a hit, make a statement of who YOU ARE and what you can expect the rest of the game.
He got flagged, he got some fine I'm sure. But the announcer stating "IN THE FACE MASK" wasn't quite true if you look actually probably by the action of the Punter most of that kick (some glanced on the facemask) was on the Shoulder.
Keep in mind if that was a Brown doing it to the Steelers, folklore and songs would be written about him, one has to only view Turkey Jones...lol
Man its football its a violent game, I don't cadone that action..not one bit. As a coach I do not cadone an action that will obtain a penalty. No coach does. Oh there is a desire to want nastiness.
Just saying I don't think this means he's a Wife beater or something because this depicts that action. He "MEAN" Joe Green was just that One mean football player. Of the field he was giving his Jersey for a Coke...lol
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!
Lanning was our punter. I didn't watch the video, but I do remember the play. I never thought he intentionally kicked him in the face. I thought AB was trying to hurdle him.
I will say that Brown isn't doing himself any favors in the court of public opinion w/all of his recent actions.
I never thought he intentionally kicked him in the face. I thought AB was trying to hurdle him.
I don't think he premeditated it and I do think he was initially going for the hurdle, but when he saw that he didn't get the height, he definitely extended his leg out and intentionally kicked him.

This 100%.
I totally agree the kick to the face was intentional, but I also believe it was premeditated. What I saw, then and in the clip, was the same as the announcer said. Brown was headed for the sideline where he had a clear shot to a TD. He changed directions back toward the middle of the field, and the only explanation I see was that he saw Lanning and wanted to make a statement. He changed directions from a sure touchdown toward the only player between him and the end zone then jumped and aimed his foot at Lanning's helmet. Then he was proud of it. He made the image of his foot hitting Lanning's helmet the backgound photo on his Facebook page. (I saw it.)
Antonio may be the best WR in the game, but I have NO respect for him after that move. NONE.

We'll see if he's really the best if the Steelers trade him.
Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, Emanuel Sanders, Plaxico Burress, (and I think i missed a few?). AB is just another in the long line of WRs that Ben and the Pitt O made look good. He's probably the best of the bunch, but I'd wager not top 3 on most other teams.
I could just be a hater, but I used to hate Hines Ward and still respect him. AB, I dunno, just meh, he pushes off on almost every TD, if he were a Browns WR he'd lead the league in penalties.
I don't know if I would include Emmanuel Sanders. He was better once he left Pittsburgh. Much better. I'm surprised the Steelers didn't keep him. Nate Washington is another.

I hated Hines Ward and definitely did not respect him. One game, where we beat them fairly well, he walked off the field to the locker room without going on to the field to shake hands. Whenever they beat us, he was out there with that dumb-butt grin of his. Once I saw that, no respect for Whines Hard.
If we were such sticklers about the whole "string of events indicates deep issues" like some are on this thread, we would not have drafted Baker Mayfield. He had a string of issues that were well-documented that, without the benefit of hindsight, probably should've scared us off of drafting him, more so at #1. But a person is not simply a sum of their worst moments.
That said, there's a point where the stories accumulate, and get worse and worse the longer you're watching. AB is going in this direction. So the comparisons to Baker begin to fall apart. Baker tried to plant a flag in turf, AB is accused to shoving his baby's momma to the ground. You can try to draw parallels, but you're the one that looks silly.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Antonio Brown has no business in our locker room. I hope he stays in Pitt and goes even more diva!
It’s about the team and has to stay that way. Baker is a great example of that too.. his teammates have his back and would walk into hell with him! He is a HUGE unifying force on our team.
I know this fact bothers some around here due to their own negative biases but they can go pound sand.

This has been talked about a lot recently in the Pittsburgh area because of the incidents AB has had.
At the time, the Steelers were going to offer either AB or Sanders the large contract.
Sanders wanted more than Pitt was willing to offer, so they gave the $ to AB.
Bitter Browns fan in me wonders how good he'll be without the benefit of all those no-calls for OPI the Steelers enjoy on obvious push-offs and pick plays.
