You will be ready in about 10 months, after we clinch the AFC North.

I love it when a plan comes together. We had waited what, 16-17 years for someone to show up with a plan and follow through. We're going to see huge strides in year 4 and even more additions to a well talented team.

Think about what Dorsey did w/the offense in just one year. He brought in the following starters:

QB: Baker
RB: Chubb
WR: Landry
WR: Callaway
RT: Hubbard
LT: Robinson/Harrison
TE2: Fells

Dude replaced 7 of the 11 starters on offense in just one year. And the difference, as you and Diam noted, is amazing between the last two years.

The key learning point here is that Hue was a failure with Sashi's guys AND with Dorsey's guys. He was the ONE constant in failure during his tenure here.

We will never know who Sashi would have brought in with his bounty of picks and cap space...but we know Hue was a loser from day one.

I might have been guilty. I think the correct stat is that Baker IN THE RED ZONE had a total of 20 TDs and Zero (0) INTS. so my Bad not meant to miss lead.

But still its an amazing achievement for a rookie.

I think rookies Wentz and Watson had very good numbers in the Red Zone as well.

I know there are some who in their investigation of possible #1 pick QBs did not think highly of Baker and still are questioning if he is a true Franchise QB or not. Like the achievements he made last year including SETTING A NEW RECORD for TD pass by a rookie all the while just starting 13 games.

Somehow that was just LUCKY stuff and he might not be "THE GUY". Yes I am Biased as I loved Baker from day one and he was definitely a QB I wished for the Browns to have. I was very surprised that we took him at #1 not because of his talent but because the NFL has always been biased against QB who were not 6'3"+ In their history both Rodgers and Brees dropped because of their height.

So to have him taken at #1 was a big move by Dorsey. He studied the kid up and down so was confident in the pick.

What I can ASSume, what ever we saw from Baker we will see PROGRESS and he will actually get better. There is no revelation from DC's on how to play him. His vision is excellent. He did and will even get better in throwing his passes under 2.5 seconds. Accurate and to the correct WR.

These are traits that will definitely IMPROVE into year 2. Defense have no way to stop him. He has also a great 6th sense on getting away from pressure and he doesn't take off he just move leterally steps up and hits an open WR.

We got a good one. Get use to it cause he will be here for quite a while.

wink

116.5 Red Zone rating. As a rookie don't know how that compares to others but I would have to say that is Pretty Darn good if you ask me!

Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off!
Go Browns!

Pretty good? That's SICK. I don't know, but I would bet that's the best rookie red zone rating ever.

very possible / probable. Passing gets harder as the field is compressed in the red zone ... so 116 rating is insane.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
