This guy Tyrell Williams is another guy of interest.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2824...-in-free-agency

In some ways he may be like Perriman. He is 6'3" plus and 205 lbs. He ran 4.42.

He has been very productive when given the chance.

Who knows if OBJ happens? But this guy could be a good fallback.

I am close to positive pick #17 will front seven guy.

Off topic, but does anyone know what happened to Justin Gilbert? I can't seem to find him on social media or anything.

Damn shame. Kid was an incredible talent. Just seemed to lack maturity and a love for the game.

Anyone else remember the story about someone else having to be held back from taking a swing at Gilbert in the locker room because he showed up late to a home game and strolled in eating candy and smiling? Something like that. Might have been Donte Whitner or tried to hit him or something.

Tyrell is 10 times the player Perriman is. He can also run more than two routes.

My cousin used to be a reporter who covered the Browns...He mentioned that to me before it ever broke...My cousin say's Gilbert was thought to be bi-polar...I remember Gilbert lit the combine on fire, yet he had zero buzz (I believe his mental illness was red flagged there) Makes no sense how sensational his combine was, yet he literally had no buzz (I still have a draft magazine stating the same thing) So it had come within the interviews...

I love how we ignored the facts and took him anyways.

There was also another fight, that had to be restrained...but I forget from what two parties, as it was years ago.

If I remember correctly, the dumb-ass Farmer never conducted a personal interview w/Gilber.

I was so excited when this site allowed the embedding of tweets, but it's actually become a vehicle of bad information. They seem to carry more weight even when the information is biased and incomplete.

Tyrel Williams is not a pimple on the ass of Jarvis Landry to anyone who knows anything about football.

At what point did I say he was a pimple on anybodys ass?

I'm happy to hear we have some WR options in FA.

There are 2 sides in any negotiation. Leaks don't necessarily have to come from the Browns.

Maybe, maybe not. To your point regarding tweets, the tweets posted are from industry people, not random joe schmoes. So I feel their opinions/facts/knowledge is something I would want to hear.

Because its nice to come here for a pulse of whats being said on social media from industry.

I am not saying we will acquire Williams, bro............but here is why we might.

We let Perriman walk.

We sign Williams to be our deep threat.

That allows Landry to run more underneath routes.

Okay..........reality check. Even w/that, isn't Callaway a deep threat? I'm not a huge fan of T. Williams because I think he is limited and we already have two guys that are similar to him. But, one never knows....

One more thing...........I agree that the tweet was ignorant. I sometimes get the feeling that tweets somehow get a lot of undeserved cred on this board. They look cool in this format. LOL.......but, a ton of them are lame as can be.

So your saying that Williams agent is leaking to the press that were interested in him while it’s against the rules?... I know it happens .... is that your supposition? ... same with OBJ ... whose leaking that ... gettleman ... obj’s agent? ...

Interesting ... cause i see no other agents leaking SPECIFIC TEAMS about there clients ... i’m pretty sure thats not a rep an agent wants to get ... that wouldn’t go over well with the team ...

Usually you’ll see an agent ;eat something about MULTIPLE TEAMS having inte3rest ... but hardly do u ever see ANYONE mention a specific team this far out ...

It could be true ... i just wonder where they come from .... on this one your theory don’t add up ...

I wonder how much is click bait and how much is just in this case MKC doing some basic math ... we have a need and williams may fit it best inw2hat i going to be a real bad FA WR class ...

There used to be tons of leaks coming from the Browns, and it wasn't necessarily the GM, Head Coach, or other top end people doing the leaking .... but there are tons of people who are in on a lot of the day to day operation of the team, and not every GM team locks out lower end personnel like Dorsey does.

It could also be a Steelers leak, hoping that another team will get desperate and swoop in at the last minute with a superior offer.

Leaks could come from anywhere. Maybe from Dorsey? Maybe we want to wake Perriman up. Maybe we have a pretty good offer and want him to take it before we take it off the table and sign someone else?

Im still not sold we need a WR, but I like Williams. I think the term could be sleeper. However, I think he's going to cost some money. I believe he's a pretty good deep threat. Great size and athleticism. He's a 1,000 yd receiver. If he's not here, he feels like a New England or Indianapolis kinda guy. I've seen him linked to the colts... but I think it's just a matter of who wants to pay him more. Could be us.

Truthfully, I don't know anything about him. Except for the stars in the league, I don't pay attention to any teams players except the Browns.

Looks like Ian Rap jumped the gun and AB wanted no part of Buffalo

Yeah, that's going to be a problem because he has so few teams that he wants to go to probably

Packers seem likely now

Does Brown have a no trade clause in his contract, that he can stop a move like this?

To me, him staying in a locker room where he, by virtue of agreement, called the QB a rapist, is one of the best things that could happen in the AFC North.

He can just say he'll retire if the team acquires him, so basically he can steer where he wants to go

No, he just thinks that he is rich enough that he doesn't need to play in the NFL under less than ideal circumstances (playoff caliber team and a new contract)

I think retirement is much much better ..... the stilers get ZILCH that way ... thumbsup

An NFC locker room is my 2nd choice and way better than the Stilers ...

The only thing better than players sticking it to owners is a Steelers player sticking it to the Rooney's.

Raiders?

If he's worried about the QB situation, I'd say the Raiders is more unstable than the Bills?

I don't know if they're in the mix but I always thought the Panthers would be a good place for him.

I agree. It will be to GB or SF is my guess
