Sounds like a good deal to me. I would say OBJ, at this moment is better than any receiver in the draft class and would be a top 5 pick in this draft. So in effect we traded a 3rd rounder and peppers to move into the top five and get the best receiver available. With far less risk than drafting a rookie WR with a high 1st round pick. I like peppers but I am ok letting him go for Odell.
We could possibly score more points than the chiefs and rams did this past year

Is there even a team with a better 3 headed monster Han us?
We have OBJ, Landry and Calloway.
Only team I can think of is the falcons with jones, Sanu, and Ridley.

OMG guys...........I have never been so happy about the Browns. The Joe Thomas choice was right there, but this team has so much more talent and I am now sold. This team is now perhaps one of the favorites for the Super Bowl!!!!
Y'all should turn on NFL Network. They are singing the praises of the Browns and Dorsey. Not so much for NYG!
we needed that pick more than we needed another wr...and we got worse on defense...I trust dorsey but i don't know we needed obj...only 1 ball. hope he has a plan to recoup that first. Who's out there for safety? think he's looking at Roby there?
Just frickin' stop!

Crazy crazy day. I gotta let this all sink in before I start putting hot takes. Big trades like this make me nervous. I get that it's awesome and everything, and it appears that we have leaders in place to make the most of a player like OBJ... it just makes me nervous. Things like this usually don't work out for us.
I'm really on the fence about this trade. Peppers was just starting to get it, so it kinda sucks to not see him continue to put things together as a defender here in Cleveland. We have Kindred, and he's no slouch. Guy played well when he was starting. I definitely want to make a run at our Calhoun to keep him in town. We're down a starting safety, so now isn't the time to let depth walk.
The 1st and 3rd is a steep price, but OBJ is one of those talents. It's kinda funny... my first thought was if Dorsey was NOT the one picking then I'd be more on board with giving up the picks. Past regimes wouldn't get anywhere near the value of OBJ from both of those picks put together. With Dorsey it's possible. I don't know enough about this draft to get worked up about missing out on talent.
Still, OBJ is one of those talents. He's a sure thing, he's entering the prime of his career, and because of where he is in his contract, we're not paying all that much.
I'm probably more on the fence about this trade than I am with the Zeitler trade.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
